I mean, again, platinum has a lot more industrial components. And historically, it wasn't viewed in the same way as gold and silver. So, you know, the typical buyer of gold and silver doesn't necessarily buy platinum. You know , we sell very little platinum at Schiff Gold. Most people don't come to Schiff Gold because they want to buy platinum.
They want gold, they want silver. But I mean, I'm optimistic about platinum. I am optimistic about palladium. I think all of these products will grow. So I think no matter which one you own, you will make money. The question is, you know, will the price of platinum increase more than gold? Historically, platinum is quite cheap compared to gold.
So maybe you'll get a better deal by buying platinum, you know, given the historical connection between the two metals. I mean the stocks of gold mining companies over the decades. So, uh, both me and I, you know, I think they're really cheap. Uh , you know, especially considering they're making $4,000 worth of gold right now.
But you have the potential to earn much more when the price of gold rises further. So, I think there is a lot of value in this sector, and I continue to advocate for investors who are not involved in it to get involved. Hmm, I already have a lot of experience, so I haven't been adding to it lately. Hmm, but if you do n't have it, if you have some experience but you're really not risk-averse enough, then I would take advantage of the cut that we had to raise your allocation.
Uh, most investors don't have anything allocated to precious metals mining companies . I think this is a huge mistake. And so, you know, we have separately managed accounts at Euro Pacific Capital Management that are focused solely on the mining sector, among broader strategies that are focused on, you know, dividend income or growth.
But we have, uh, strategies focused on mining . In fact, I have a mutual fund that people can buy, the Euro Pacific Gold Fund, which again is exclusively owned by companies that mine gold and silver. So, you can buy my fund. In fact, it is available, EPGFX is a no- load ticker for a gold fund. You can buy it from any discount broker to gain access to the shares, or you can go to Euro Pacific Asset Management.
We know that you can buy funds from us, or you can have a separate managed account where you know you have your own account and we pick stocks for you and manage them for you. I think juniors have the best value. I mean, our strategy in our fund is to be overweight royalty companies and juniors. Uh, and we try to offset the risk of juniors with royalty companies.
And then in the middle we have, you know, all the big manufacturers and mid- tier companies. Uh, and these are the companies that actually performed the best in this last phase of growth. That's why let's consider that my fund underperformed during this uptrend because we were risk averse. But if the next phase, uh, is one where small stocks lead over large stocks, which I expect, you know, we should crush it.
That's why, you know, people ...if I'm right, people should read my strategy now, uh, before this. In addition to precious metals, the entire commodity complex faces sustained growth pressure due to changing macroeconomic dynamics. Industrial metals such as platinum and palladium remain fundamentally undervalued compared to gold, offering attractive historical entry points.
Meanwhile, global energy markets are vulnerable to severe supply constraints. The release of strategic petroleum reserves has artificially temporarily suppressed oil and gas prices, but these buffers are being depleted. Geopolitical bottlenecks, such as maritime disruptions in key shipping lanes, combined with a weakening fiat currency environment, threaten to drive crude oil prices significantly higher.
With changing global dynamics, commodities are positioned as the main hedge against large-scale currency depreciation. If the market crashes and people rush for money, yeah, you know, I mean people can sell their shares in mining companies. But, you know, a lot of people who own stocks that are likely to crash probably don't even own shares in mining companies.
So it's not going to be one of the things they can sell to get liquidity. I mean, platinum has a lot more industrial components. And historically it is not viewed in the same way as gold and silver. So, you know, the typical buyer of gold and silver doesn't necessarily buy platinum. You know, we sell very little platinum on SchiffGold.

Historically, platinum is quite cheap compared to gold. So maybe you'll get a better deal by buying platinum, you know, given the historical connection between the two metals. And energy prices are rising significantly. I mean, I I I think that right now they are artificially depressed by all these strategic oil reserves that have come into the market from the US, from Europe.
And so I think that at some point these supplies will be exhausted. And maybe they will eventually replenish, I don't know. But once they stop supplying the market, I would expect significantly higher prices. Um, you know, I think the situation in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, I I think I don't think it's going to be resolved anytime soon.
I think this will be an ongoing problem. And at a minimum, you know, ships can pay a significant toll for passage. And this will increase the price of oil and gas. But, once the dollar really falls against other currencies, which I would expect, but it hasn't happened recently, but if it does, that in itself will create much more upward pressure on prices .
So I wouldn't be surprised if the price of oil is closer to $150 than $100 per barrel. The digital asset ecosystem is facing increasing difficulties as speculative fervor clashes with macroeconomic reality. After aggressive historical declines and subsequent partial recoveries, leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin appear to have lost structural momentum near mid-cycle resistance zones.
Regulatory and legislative changes are significant catalysts for decline, especially if the political power dynamics in Washington shift toward a more hostile stance toward decentralized finance. Furthermore, the decline in executive momentum and the challenging fiscal backdrop create an unstable environment for speculative risk assets.
Without an influx of new liquidity, the digital asset market risks falling below previous annual support levels as institutional caution increases.
