With a total net worth of 1.6 billion US dollars, today we're going to talk about Charlie Manga and his portfolio. Which stocks does Charlie Manga buy? And, of course, as always, we'll introduce the companies briefly. And as always, we regularly give away a €50 Amazon voucher to particularly active viewers.
So please share your personal opinion on Charlie Manga and his portfolio holdings in the comments. Do you think there are far too few stocks, or that he's a bad company, or a good company? And as a little ritual, write your three favorite portfolio sizes (the largest positions in a portfolio) in the comments.
As always, there's a regular €50 Amazon voucher for particularly active viewers who comment or share the video. And as always, I've also compared my overall portfolio winner from over 20 online brokers below. So if you're still looking for a very good and affordable online broker, you should check this out.
You absolutely must take another look at this. We're now coming to Charlie Manga's portfolio, and as an introduction, it must be said that he's a leading expert in his field. He's also Warren Buffett's right-hand man. Many sources repeatedly state that when Warren Buffett wants to decide on a company to buy, he always consults Charlie Manga first, so to speak, to draw on his experience and get his opinion on whether it's worthwhile or not.
And that says a lot. Not my Buffett, as the most successful investor of all time, and you can see that again and again in the portfolio. We have many, or rather almost exclusively, stocks in which Warren Buffett has also invested. Otherwise, it would be pointless for him, as his right-hand man, to be completely misled by a different strategy.
But, and I can tell you one thing right now, it will be very financially burdensome. In my opinion, it's also not really broadly diversified. So, let's go through it. Firstly, we start again with the weakest or smallest position, with over 9,000,745 has been invested in the company Posco, one of the largest steel producers, and accordingly, with an annual production of 42 million tons, very interesting.
Based in South Korea, it was, of course, hit hard by the Corona crisis. Naturally, nobody knew whether the economy had recovered or even would recover at all. The company has two very large steel plants and is therefore the fourth largest steel producer worldwide. It is one of the most sought-after stocks, as Charlie Man always says.
The investment is substantial, and with over 300,180,000 US dollars, it is the smallest position in Mangel's portfolio. Next, we come to a relatively large value position, namely 4.8 million US dollars. This is the financial institution US Bancorp. So here again we can see that over 48,480 euros or US dollars are now being reinvested in a financial asset.
Here is the second A position with over 1.6 shares and a value of 45.6 million US dollars is Wells Fargo, primarily consumer loans, in which he is very strongly represented. And who would have thought it, the first place, the largest position in Manga's portfolio, and these stocks can also be found in Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway.
With 2.3 million euros, it's the financial institution Bank of America, a solid bank that accounts for 48.8 million US dollars within the portfolio. And that's already the criticism one can make. Even Charlie Manga is a very, very financial burden. I mean, there are many who say that the financial system will collapse sooner or later, and even Warren Buffett and Charlie Manga, with their immense wealth of experience, probably ca n't really assess the extent of the next crisis.
Nobody can say how bad it will be, but there are many who say that there is a credit bubble in many areas, especially in America, and that all the financial institutions would suffer the most. I find that very interesting. I also agree that these three years included financial instruments or financial companies.
JP Morgan would be another candidate that is also in Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio, but—and this must be added—this steel manufacturer is, of course, a case where one can argue that steel will always be needed; it's the most popular industrial metal, and one naturally assumes that the economy will continue to grow, that there will continue to be many construction projects where steel is simply used, including in the automotive industry.
And there, one can also say critically, will the whole thing really continue as it is? Especially in the environmental debate, there are many who say that the automotive industry is dying out or needs to change drastically. But nevertheless, the alternative can, of course, also rely on steel. In any case, this stock has also been severely impacted, especially during the Corona crisis, and of course, nobody really questioned it because nobody knew, or still knows, at the time of the video presentation, which was filmed after the lockdown, how the whole thing would develop.
That's of course another potential danger, a risk from Posco. Accordingly, short and sweet: he has four stocks in his portfolio. Naturally, the whole thing is very, very focused on financial stocks and a steel company. Feel free to write in the comments whether you would consider that broadly diversified, whether you say, "Hey, I don't want to diversify broadly, I just want the best on board." And then we can discuss in the comments whether these are indeed the best stocks, especially in the financial industry in the American market, and whether, in your opinion, there are other good financial institutions.
Let's discuss that. And as always, we'll write your three largest portfolio positions in the comments. I think it's very interesting to see what most of you are buying in your portfolios. And as always, I would also be happy if you shared this video with other knowledge-hungry people who also want to learn about Charlie Mange or get to know his portfolio.
And don't forget to subscribe for further financial and portfolio analyses. There's also... This is now a series where we regularly take a closer look at individual stock market strategies and, above all, weigh up their advantages and disadvantages, for example, the dividend strategy or the classic buy and hold strategy. Subscribing is therefore worthwhile, and we'll see you in the next video.
