If you look at the situation from the bottom of the " bear" stock and cryptocurrency market at the end of 2022, Bitcoin has grown, I think, by about 360 %.
So, certainly one of the reasons was inflation at the time and the fear that the Fed wouldn't be able to get it under control. So, I think that played a role. I am often asked: "Wait, you are not expecting inflation, but deflation ." Doesn't this deprive Bitcoin of the important role you think it should play?
To which we answer: yes, Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation. Its maximum volume is mathematically limited to 21 million coins. It is currently growing at 0.8% per year, which will decrease to 0.4%. Its supply is currently growing more slowly than the supply of gold because miners can mine more in response to price signals.
So their production volumes increased. If you store Bitcoin yourself, you are not exposed to any counterparty risks. It belongs only to you and is stored in your wallet. Therefore, we believe that it plays a very important role in both cases.
