michael bury aka the big short is most known for betting against the housing bubble in the mid 2000s and profiting handsomely murray is now recognized for taking on tesla incorporated an electric vehicle company burries latest wager raises the stakes against tesla and pits him against one of the company's most ardent supporters berry has put options on more than one million tesla shares as of june 30.
