01. elonism he's a brilliant brilliant guy billionaires Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger explain why they are not buying Tesla stock and also Warren praised Elon Musk Warren achieved 20 annual compounded return since 1965 so I'd like to pay attention to what Warren says you once mentioned that you would prefer to hire someone with IQ of 130 who believes is 120 over someone with IQ of 150 who thinks is 170.

02. I understand that you were referring to Elon Musk well yes I think over Elon Musk over estimates himself but he has a he is very talented he's over yesterday meeting somebody who doesn't need to overestimate to be very talented and I think that alone also makes it difficult to really gauge how talented and how smart Elon Musk really is perhaps Charlie is right then perhaps Elon Musk is overestimating himself but what if he is not to overestimate yourself you have to not have much self-awareness and Elon Musk said this on April 7th I am done more often than I would like to be does that do you sound like someone who lacks self-awareness there's a Bill Maher program about a week old maybe two weeks old but but he interviews Elon and Elon Muslim terrific job told us all with Bill Maher who I mean it's worth watching and Elon is a brilliant brilliant guy and I would say that you know he might score over 170 but his dreams have got a foundation he would not have achieved what he has in life if he hadn't tried for unreasonably extreme objectives before I made my first million I read things like if you don't aim at anything meaning you aim at nothing you will hit it every time if you don't have a plan you plan to fail the harder you work the luckier you get and now that I made my money I can confirm that is largely true although I would like to add one thing I think everybody gets lucky but it's how you take advantage of that luck if you're not ready to take advantage of that luck then nothing good will come out of it I did not expect this video to get 62 and a half thousand views Elon explaining the Tesla stop buying opportunity if all my other videos sucked then this wouldn't help help the channel much he likes taking on the impossible job and doing it yeah if we can do it playing Tic-Tac-Toe we'll do it you know I mean we have a totally different way of going into the hallway yeah but we don't want to compete with Elon and a lot of things I mean it you know we don't want that much failure it takes over your life and I mean in a way that it just doesn't fit us but but you know they're going to be well there have been important things done by Elon already and and uh it requires fanaticism isn't the word yeah it is the word okay well it isn't quite the word but yeah but but it it it's a dedication dissolving The Impossible and and and every now and then it'll do it and uh but it would be torturous to Mayor Charlie I like the way I'm living and and uh I wouldn't enjoy being in it but he wouldn't enjoy being in my shoes either personally I am willing to work seven days a week for years if needed but there's also other kinds of suffering that you have to go through if you are Elon for example one of those things that you add on top of working seven days a week is endless political attacks against you while you actually try to help people Elon Musk commented on this people definitely shouldn't be attacked for doing good is it really just a question of money to restore hearing I'm always looking for ways to donate money that are actually good perhaps this one is it is very hard to donate money if you care about doing actual good not just merely the appearance of it this was about Mr beast making a video during which he gives 1 000 people back their hearing you basically paid for the hearing aids but also he did a video in which he paid for people's surgery to get their eyesight back I go to Google I search for Mr B's gives hearing back the second article says I genuinely feel like Mr Beast is demonic quite a while ago these things really used to baffle me how come people cannot see that there's good being done here and sure Mr Beast also benefits because the video is going to get a whole lot of views but she could have made a video I buried myself alive again but this time for maybe 100 hours and it would have gotten a lot of use too except he wouldn't have helped anyone it is a bit sad to see when someone has so much hatred for someone that they can't even recognize a good thing being done looking at the global Trends it increasingly does seem that zero emission Vehicles may have finally reached the cusp of mass adoption you know how sometimes they say oh you get five pinocchios for telling a lie well in this case I'll say you get a full Gordon here just one Gordon set of five because using the word may instead of clearly well is a bit ill-informed in Europe in 2035 you will no longer be able to purchase a new gasoline-powered vehicle and if you think from first principles the obvious choice is electric vehicles number one they actually use up all of the energy for the most part instead of just using 20 of the energy that is used by gas powered engines to move a vehicle forward most of the energy just goes to heat and because electric vehicles have less Parts these vehicles will actually be cheaper in the long term it is a long-term inevitability for all of the vehicles to go zero emission sure there will be some enthusiasts that will still stick to a gasoline-powered vehicle unless it's illegal but that will be as common as people using Kodak cameras today do you see any opportunity in this space either in specific vehicle manufacturers or in related Technologies well I would say that for longer felt that the Auto industry is just too tough Ford Motor Company I mean Henry Ford looked like he owned the world with the Model T and then he brought down the price dramatically he took up wages dramatically he was he might have been with a different personality or some different views you might have been elected president of the United States I mean there there's a good book that came out on that recently that 20 years later they were losing money and they had a guy with a gun in his pocket I think Harry Bennett you know it was running the Ford Motor Company it was on its way to the junkie when the whiskers came in and Report the second Hank the deuce as they call them brought in Texas Thornton and my friend RJ mother and a few people I was reading the other day actually the 1932 annual report of General Motors and uh it's one of the best annual reports I've read it's a totally honest you know assessment of exactly where they were they had 19 000 dealers then and then population as I mentioned earlier was about 120 million or so and now with 330 million people all brands in the United States have like 18 000 dealers or something it's just a business where you've got a lot of worldwide competitors they're not going to go away but many will certainly be near bankruptcy and sound will go bankrupt although that really just means they will be restructured GM went bankrupt in 2009 but it's still around Tesla currently still has a huge lead and that lead I believe will continue for a reasonable amount of time but eventually competitors who will come in but that is going to be a long time from now the thing that excites me in the long term though is full cell driving and not so much electric vehicles although electric vehicle business for Tesla is going to be extremely profitable and the mode around full self driving is going to be a whole lot bigger and as long as Tesla continues at this kind of speed of innovation that it currently is on and the cost will continue to be lower and they will be lower than everyone else's and as long as Tesla can do that it will still keep winning for a long time it looks like there are winners at any given time but it doesn't get you a permanent place although as I mentioned I would say Ferrari is in a special place but I only saw 11 or 12 000 cars a year U.S last year I think there were 14 million something it's not a business where we find it fascinating to be in we like our dealership operation but I don't think I can tell you what the Auto industry will look at look like five or ten years now well one thing is rather obvious we are moving into a direction where dealerships are less and less and less relevant especially if you are transparent with your pricing what do you need dealerships for then sure people still want a test drive but you don't need to have a proper dealership to really do those Tesla just about a month ago opened the first remote has drive hub in Europe you of course need service centers but dealerships nah not really some I think will still be around but just like e-commerce disrupted a lot of retail businesses I think we are going to see a very similar thing here as well I do think that you're right you will see a change in the vehicles but you won't see anybody that owns the market because they changed the vehicle well the electric vehicles coming big time that's a very interesting development at the moment it's imposing huge Capital costs and huge risks I don't like huge Capital costs and huge risks that's where the things get really interesting when you look at Tesla because Volkswagen spends five times more on research and development and yet Tesla is crushing it with EVS Tesla's Capital expenditures are relatively low in the industry Tesla's return on Capital invested is generally pretty good and we're subsidizing in the United States and we're actually doing it by pulling in a pro labor time I mean it is subject to politics like you can't believe too but it's going to be with us we're not going to quit driving cars and American public has a love affair with them I think I know where Apple's going to be in five or ten years and I don't know whether the car companies are going to be in five or ten years and I may be wrong but Charlie and I've followed the auto business with intense interest Charlie's firm was the specialist in General Motors on the Pacific coast Stock Exchange and that was that was a franchise it wasn't it Charlie by working very hardly you can make a minor amount of money I have no interest in a Volkswagen Mercedes gm4 Toyota stocks but Tesla stock yeah I think I have a pretty good idea of where Tesla is going to be 10 years from now and it is going to be winning that's like keeps attracting the best Engineers Tesla has this fast-paced War culture and that is hard to destroy and if Elon Musk keeps leading the company I don't see how other companies are going to be Tesla a big thanks to all of you who chose to click on the link below and support this channel on patreon this video explains why Tesla board members are now buying more Tesla style my name is malpost
