Welcome back to my channel. In this video, I wanted to cover super investor David Ter and review how this investor is beating the market. Clearly outperforming the S&P as well as all his peers that are also super investors. Let's take a look at the stocks that he owns. What changes he making in the middle of the year to keep his performance up.

He owns a long list of stocks. Many of them are quite popular and a few are a little obscure. So, I'll take a look at all of them. I'm going to look at the performance year to date and based on the 13F filings he's produced, make changes to his portfolio. That way, I accurately represent uh the performance of his portfolio to the best of my ability.

If you like content like this, consider being a subscriber of my channel. I produce content like super investor content as well as stock valuations and review of companies and would really appreciate you being a member. You get really good perks like uh member only content, invitation to member calls as well as preferential uh reviews of stocks on live streams.

So take a look. The more details are in the description of the video. So, let's take a look at his portfolio in detail. And I've taken every position he has and made changes from Q1 to Q2. And his biggest position continues to be Alibaba. And it's been a winner overall for the year. In the first quarter, it did 55% rate of return.

Excellent. In the second quarter, it's faded. Not too bad. Down 8.7. He did reduce his share count at Alibaba, by the way. The other stock I wanted to cover, I'll cover his winners, then I'll come back to his losers. Uh, another big winner has been Pinnodo. He's made $114 million. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Another one that he made a lot of money on is Vistra. Vistra is an energy producer. And in Q2, this stock's really worked. He's made $93 million or a 34% increase in a very short period of time. Wow, what a move. And in that stock, he also reduced his share count. So, he's been reducing the share count of some of these winners.

And the last winner I'll take a look at is Energy Energy. Um, which is another energy producer. And these guys have flourished in Q2 alone. He's up 65%. I had to double check that number because it looked a little too too unbelievable, but it is in fact that he went up so much. He made $127 million rate of return 65%.

So he's really honed in on some companies that are outside, you know, the Magnificent 7 or the big stocks and made lots of money. He went into China, he went into energy. Now, this covers some of his losers. And the biggest money losers are include Alibaba. He's down 106 million, but no big deal because he's made 561 million.

He's made half a billion dollars on Alibaba in the first quarter and he gave up he gave back I guess 106 million. So I don't think that's a big giant problem. He lost money in the first quarter on Amazon as did most investors including yours truly. Uh Amazon in the first quarter was down 13%. So he lost 75 million in in the second quarter on JD he's lost 62 million or 18.9.

So, he's kind of even on JD. Interesting. And then the last loser I'll cover is 70 $64 million loss on Google in the first quarter. And Google's beginning to work. So, in the second quarter, it's beginning to get back some of that loss that he's made. And on Google, looks like he increased his share count.

So, it's interesting. He's moving into Google. Uh, which is interesting. I think it's a good move. I think Google is beginning to work and Google has a lot after their presentation last week. The Google stock has really been working. So, really good move. Now, let's take a look at his overall performance.

He is performing at just year to date, year isn't over. We're almost done with five months and he's up 12.69. That's an excellent rate of return while the S&P is in the negative. So, David Ter is beating the market. and soundly and he's got really good momentum. He's also made a lot of moves. I'm going to go over his moves next and show you that he really is changing his portfolio in a big way.

Let's go over that now. So, I'm going to go over his ads first and then we'll go over where he sold some shares. So, one of the stocks that he really bet big on is Uber. And Uber is a stock that's been seeing a lot of super investor activity. Bill Oman went big into Uber, bought 30 million shares. A number of super investors believe Uber is going to be a winner for uh robo taxi as well as overall ride sharing, food delivery and so forth.

I too believe in Uber. Uber is probably the third most valuable uh stock investment that I have right now behind Meta and Google. So really good to see that Uber is getting a lot of energy from or attention from super investors including Debbie Ter. Another stock that he's invested is Corning. Never heard of it.

He went bigger into NRG. That was brilliant because NRG just really performed in Q2. He's buying into Meta. I'm buying into Meta. So that's good to see. I think Meta is looking great. TSM, he's adding into TSM. Google, I think I covered that earlier. energy transfer. United Health, look at that. One of the uh investors going into United Health.

I expect that especially the back half of Q2, a lot of super investors are going to buying United Health. There's just too much value there. Deutsch Bank. Interesting. He and these are new positions he's made. He didn't own any shares prior. So Deutsch Bank, L3 Harris, Broadcom. He's got into Broadcom and then Block, which is interesting.

Small position in Block, but nonetheless, he's gotten into it. Now, let's talk about what he has sold. So, starting with Amazon, he reduced his share count. Amazon's a terrific business. I have no worries about them, you know, having a great next five years. So, I have no comments there. But, he sold out of Crane shares.

He sold some Vistra, and Vistra did really well in Q2. I don't know if he regrets that. He sold some of his his China ETF. He sold some shares there. He sold some Pindoo, some Alibaba, some JD. So, he's cashing out some of his uh win in China. Interesting. He sold some of his Lyft. He sold some of his Wind Resorts.

He sold some Microsoft. Microsoft's been working this year. So, that's interesting. Here's another Chinese stock that he sold. He sold some Chesapeake uh energy. And I think he switched from Chesapeake over to the other energy companies, Vistra and NRG. He sold some Nvidia. Um, not I don't I don't know if that's smart or or not, but we'll see how it plays out.

He sold out of Qualcomm, ASML. So, he's leaning down semiconductor, but it's interesting. He started buying a little bit of Broadcom and then he sold some Micron, which is also semiconductor. And of course AMD is a big semiconductor company. So, I think he's getting out of semiconductor. Is he telling us something?

Is there something to be worried about there? Maybe. And these are the cells where he sold the entire position. So, he sold all of AMD. Doesn't own AMD anymore. He sold all of FedEx. Not a bad idea. I think that one was a loser for him. Uh, EQT, never heard of it. And Tero Resources, never heard of it.

Expand Energy, never heard of it. And he got out of Intel, the big dumpster fire. So, that's what he completely sold out of. David Ter is ranking number one again. He lost the title to Bur literally for a week before I was able to update his portfolio and got him back on top. So, he's doing really, really well.

He's also very diversified. So, he's probably going to be top ranked or top two or three for the rest of the year because he and Bur have a pretty good gap uh to the next closest super investor which is Ducker Miller and then Guy Spire. So that's where he ranks number one and uh beating out everyone.

So really nicely done. D David Ter might not be as popular as Warren Buffett or maybe even Bill Oman. Uh but I can tell you he's super successful. He owns the Carolina Panthers, the US uh football team, and uh super successful guy who's getting it done again here in 2025. So that's my review of David Ter, super investor, really successful in 2025.

Interesting to see what he's buying and selling. And I think collectively as I review these super investors, I'm seeing some patterns. For example, a lot of super investors are buying into Uber and investors are also betting on some smaller caps now and energy is beginning to work for ter. So those things are interesting and a lot of selling as well.

Both ter and Bur are not afraid to sell stocks. Uh Bur being more of a drastic situation. He's sold everything but one stock. Wow. Cleaning out the portfolio. Ter on the other hand, he's reducing some positions and sold completely out of some stocks. But these guys are not afraid to make adjustments and continue to, you know, stay on course on whatever investing strategy they have for that particular year.

So that's David Ter, really interesting investor. Thanks so much for watching. I hope you found the video interesting. Let me know what you think of David Ter.
