Hello fellow travelers, this is Adomam. Today, I am speaking under the title, "TQQ: It Starts Now." Among my three accounts, the one holding 7,000 shares has now dropped to the minus 1% range. The account where I have a 1 million won deposit and buy 200,000 won worth every month has also fallen to the minus 1% range.
It is certainly true that even the account I had set aside as a beggar is holding up like this. It is obvious that adding to your position during a bear market like this leads to a faster recovery of your principal, but I am very glad to be able to show you this through my account statements. When I first mentioned TQQ about two years ago, many of you probably invested with great expectations, thinking, "Yeah, if we just do this for 10 years, it will be 100 times like this." However, due to various economic conditions last year in 2022, you likely experienced significant losses.
You probably felt a sense of bewilderment, wondering, "What is this?" Yet, for those who continued to make additional purchases based on what they learned and the theories, there are likely many of you now seeing principal recovery and even profits. Among the videos I uploaded around May of last year...
I mentioned three things I experienced while investing in TQQ. When I first bought it in October 2021, it rose incredibly fast—to a frightening degree. So, on January 13, 2022, they lowered the price through a stock split. I experienced that, and then faced a continuous bear market throughout 2022 with a fierce decline.
By May 2023— that is, after going into the red—it had been about a year and four months since then. Of course, this is an account where I made additional purchases. By then, I had almost recovered my principal. So, if you subtract that process from the past year and a half, you can consider this to be just the beginning.
No one knows how the stock price will fare in the future, but now that the long bear market is over, I am looking forward to a bull market. Of the two things I will experience going forward, one is how long it takes to turn positive after a deep loss; based on my account, it took a year and four months.
The other thing I will experience is a tremendous rate of return. So, although you have likely gone through many book losses, now... With the mindset that "this is just the beginning," I hope everyone experiences their returns skyrocketing in the future. I truly hope you enjoy the great joy of realizing that triple leverage can generate such incredible returns.
This is from a collection of Carnegie's quotes; it contains this passage: "Are opportunities truly scarce in life? Only those with the eye to see them and the will to seize them can grasp them." He says this. I believe that if we possess the eye to see such opportunities and the will to seize them in our lives, those great opportunities will become ours, and we will surely live the life we desire.
Although today is a substitute holiday, I worked. I worked during the day and came here to upload this video. I am grateful for every single day like this, and I am truly happy and joyful to be moving toward financial freedom through these videos with my companions—even those whose faces I have never met.
So, please keep up the good work this week, and I will see you again in the next video. Goodbye. Last Saturday, on Buddha's Birthday, I went to Insadong in Seoul with my youngest daughter. There was a bakery she wanted to visit, but it was too crowded, so we could n't buy anything. Instead, we came to a place called Onion.
It has a very Insadong atmosphere, and the trees too... That's right, and there were a lot of delicious breads. So I picked out a few things I wanted to eat. That's why it's a Hanok cafe like that. There were a lot of people eating bread and drinking tea. It kept raining, so it was a bit inconvenient having to walk around with an umbrella, but it was still pretty good.
There was a place called Ssamjigol. We went there and drew on butterflies—you can see my daughter's back in the picture, right? There was a place where you could color the butterflies and write on them to enter a contest. I went to check that out, and a lot of people were drawing and hanging up. They said they would hold a raffle and give out prizes later.
I went to check that out too, and there were a lot of people. When we came inside, there were even more people. As we walked up the stairs, there were more artworks like this. There were cute drawings, too. As I walked around, I noticed there were a lot of small shops with very charming little trinkets.
If you look over here, there are dolls. That is a chopstick rest, and my daughter wanted to buy one, so I bought one for her. This place is for printing, but we just looked around and left. My daughter is still in her second year of high school, but she likes trying new things, so I asked her if she wanted to try it.
She said it was fine, so we just... It came out. I'm not very good with my hands, so I find it fascinating to see people who are so good at making things with them. That's why I wanted to try making these kinds of creations. My daughter [named Miso], our dog's name, placed Miso's face down and challenged herself to make a keychain.
The teacher helped her a bit at first, helping her establish the overall shape. She used those balls of fur and an awl to press and shape them. The form gradually began to emerge. It was really fascinating. The teacher instructed her to press firmly, and as she kept pressing, it eventually took on a solid form.
Later, she refined the face shape further and then tried to make ears, creating various pieces using those balls of fur. It was really fascinating. There are various colors available. Usually, when you come here, people make carvings, picture frames, or keychains, but making three- dimensional items like this requires so much skill that ordinary people don't have that kind of experience.
You can make these small dogs like that. So, you make the head like this, attach the eyes here, and try making the nose. Using black thread, there were many elementary school students, as well as adults and couples. They were doing a lot of work. It was really nice to see them chatting and laughing heartily while reading.
So, they made leaves like that, and it was finished, right? Does it look similar? They made a wrap like that, and decorated the double 'ssangsiot' (a type of Korean consonant) so beautifully. There were so many small shops like that. So, I slept that evening, and came out again on Sunday morning, but it was raining that day too.
I wanted to tell you to go in and hear the sound of the rain, so I went to an exhibition. This is a photograph. It has the feel of Hanji (Korean traditional paper), and I heard they printed it on Hanji. I looked around with my daughter, and everything was free. It seems that a restaurant called Doma is famous in Insadong, deep in the mountains of Korea.
I searched for "famous restaurants," and Doma came up here. I like Korean food; I prefer this kind of Korean food over other types of dishes. I ate a lot of seasoned vegetables, and after finishing the meal, my daughter and I went to a teahouse to have a cup of tea and chat. While waiting for our order, I took a picture of the scenery outside.
Even though it was raining, there were still quite a few people. So, I enjoyed some jujube tea and plum tea, and had a great time. Next time. See you again
