hey guys hope you are well wanted to go over a news story that came across my desk if you will over the weekend i can't recall how i stumbled across this but regardless it's a story from business insider india and i think it's something we should all be aware of because it really shows that if you're saying something that isn't approved by the central planners no matter how correct or maybe incorrect it may be uh they you you might get a knock at your door and uh this goes back to the united states having freedom of speech and although it may be written into our constitution do we really have freedom of speech i mean i don't know check out this article big short investor michael says he'll stop tweeting after sec regulators paid him a visit like what why on earth is the sec paying a visit to michael bury what could he have possibly done wrong and why would that prompt him to start stop tweeting and one thing and this is starting to make a lot of sense to me because i went back and looked at michael bury's twitter page and i noticed that um you know these hyperinflation tweets were not up anymore and that the tweets where he referenced those charts from lynn alden they weren't up on anymore and it was just some like the only tweet up there was some bizarre tweet about uh like some korean food restaurant in san francisco and i'm like what like where did this come from and uh now it's it's starting to make a lot of sense so it's kind of that the article is kind of insinuating a few things or they're they're trying to kind of read between the lines so i think it's important to go to what michael bury actually said or i guess there he had a deleted tweet that said tweeting and getting in the news lately apparently has caused the sec to pay us a visit so he's talking about scion asset management i didn't realize that he tweeted that it just goes on to talk about michael bury himself what he's known for we all know this yeah so i guess that's pretty much all they're going on is michael bury's twitter habit led to a visit from federal regulators so maybe and i i want to be fair maybe the visit from the regulators was regarding uh wall street bets that might have been what it was so i was assuming that it was regarding the hyperinflation tweets because that's what i was paying most attention to but maybe it was regarding robin hood and the wall street bets because that's kind of what the fed the the regulators have been looking at so one or the other uh that michael bury's tweets got him uh a visit from the sec that's really the bottom line so my point is i mean are we in a place in the united states where anything that we say on social media can potentially have the the black suit guys showing up at your front door and asking you questions i guess so and you combine that with what we are looking at with dmv and i've gone over this extensively with the facial recognition and i mean how much freedom do we really have how much freedom of speech do we really have do you really have freedom of speech where the government the government might not prosecute you for talking about hyperinflation as an example but uh you'll get the swat team showing up the black ops swat team flying out of the helicopter coming down on ropes you know landing on your rooftop coming into your house through the chimney and tasing you obviously i'm exaggerating i'm joking there but i think you guys get my point and i did not know that uh this head happens so i think it's a big deal and that's why i wanted to bring it to your attention i mean i i think in the future that if you tweet something about not just hyper inflation or or wall street bets but if you tweet something it'd be very similar to china or or the stories we hear of china i'm always skeptical because it's coming from people who probably haven't spent a lot of time in china so it's like is it really like that or is that just i mean if you go to china if you go to colombia as an example there are a lot of things that they say about gringos in the united states it just is crazy it's not even close to true so i would assume that we say a lot of things about the chinese that aren't true but i i don't know i haven't spent much time there and i look forward to doing so in the future but uh my point is we hear these stories in china about how they say something on social media that um not even criticizing the government but just is uh may say something that's uh that contradicts or is uh against some sort of government program and all of a sudden their their social score is dropped and do we get to that point in the united states where just criticizing a 15 minimum wage as an example just criticizing ubi just criticizing the next round of stimulus just criticizing the increase in taxes just criticizing the irs or criticizing a politician is going to get you potentially banned from social media or fired from your job or maybe it's gonna warrant a a knock on the on your front door from the authorities to check to make sure that you're not causing problems and um i hope we don't get that point but it it seems we're headed in that direction and this article outlining what happened to michael bury i think is an example of how we could be on that slippery slope all right guys so any questions comments regarding this attention it's klaus is here yeah no kidding i mean i think this is all klaus and bigglesworth i think this is their dream like they love this stuff the more central planning and the more control they have i mean russell napier calls it a command economy and i mean i get it but i i think it's that's just a nice way to say central planning china chinese style or the caricature of china that we have i think that's kind of whether that's true or not i don't know but i think that's kind of the direction we're going here all right guys i'll leave it there do some shout outs here let's see go into that we got klaus schwab in the house and i i like they made their picture look like that uh i think that dr evil guy uh that's funny benjamin copekay chicken dinner 13 rick carrington kane wooten david lamar i'm not
