No. So, uh let me tell you when I started investing in this market, it's a journey 30 years 35 years of experience. It is not like that I I was successful the moment I got into the market. So I started with trading but after 10 years of my trading when I realized that I couldn't save even 10,000 rupees after 10 years of a struggle
then I still don't yeah that there there was a time that for 10 12 years I was struggling but uh I used to make money in trading but in the next shot or the next move or in the next uh you know uh whatever I used to lose whatever I had made in five trades I used to uh lose in one trade only. So this happened for last for for uh 10 years or something.
Then I realized I'm not cut out for this uh and maybe I will not become big by trading. So I cease to investing. So this is maybe 10 years back I realized that the that time I had not discovered that I'm I am applying this formula uh this called smile as you had just uh defined. So later on I realized because I was very much interested in uh investing into small cap stocks you know because I had this belief that small things turns you know faster like suppose if a dog has to turn around so it will turn faster than an elephant elephant will take some time to run or to you know
so to speed up so so I was always and second thing as I told you that you see everything whatever you do in your childhood actually it reflects that what you are going to do in in your young age or old age or whatever it is. I think there is some connection. So I was more interested into quantity. I wanted to buy quantity.
So uh like numbers oh I should have five lakh shares. I should have one lakh shares or two lakh share three lakh shares. Of course I cannot afford to buy one lakh shares of any large cap of 12 lakh cr or five lakh cr. But naturally I can buy suppose a company market cap is 5,000 cr. So maybe I can buy one lakh shares.
I can buy 1% of that company. So that gives me a kind of satisfaction key. Okay, I am having this much of quantity or I'm having uh this much percentage size really uh you know does matter to me even today also. So this is how I discovered that I am really I'm liking the small cap companies or small size companies or micro cap companies and all.
So and uh second thing as I said that I I was since the beginning I had made up this my mind not to invest any company where there is a manipulation where the track record of the management is uh you know uh there [clears throat] is a red flag uh on the on the management and they do not have a track record as I said corporate governance is not there so all these things are very much you know uh embedded in my mind
that I don't want to make money in any manipulated or any such companies fictitious company or some Bangar cap I call them. So I I I I invented or I this term that there is large cap in the market, there is midcap in the market, there is small cap in the market, there's another cap which is called Bhangar cap, junk cap.
So this I was very much confident that I will never would in my senses by mistake I may buy some companies which may later turn out to be a fraud company. there is a different thing where management is manipulating or whatever it is which is happening in the market. So from [snorts] my side I was clear.
So that is why my main focus was on the management. So that is why I said small in size medium in experience. So at least management should have an experience of 15 20 years in this market. So that in 15 20 years of journey he must have fallen many number of times maybe four times, five times, 10 times he must have fallen due to so many other reasons whether because of either it could be because of forex it could be of failure of monsoon could be because of war could be because of raw material problem could be because of supply chain problem strike transport strike or whatever whatsoever.
So he must have seen in 15 years 20 years of his journey he must have come across all those kind of problems and he had he has learned how to you know uh deal with all those problems. So that is why I said the 15 this is what I did. I never invested in new companies. uh if so far I remember I might have invested in the 30 35 years of journey in one or two or three IPOs I don't remember but I never invested in IPO uh because I wanted to invest in the company which is having a track record
okay of 15 20 years as I said so so that is why and large in aspiration and one thing I really understood that if the management would not become from a korupati to arapati from a millionaire to say billionaire I will just putting my thousand thousands of rupees I will not become a lakpati you know I cannot become a millionaire until unless the cake size of the cake becomes big so for that aspiration of the management is very important so that large inspiration this is what I was doing unknowingly you know I I myself did not know that I'm following this formula but this I had been doing for 15 20 or 25 years this is what I had doing and uh as you said that [clears throat] E stands for extra large market potential even if the management experience even The product is very good even that there is no rat lag into the company even the size is also small but the market size of the product is not large enough so that the company can become from a micro cap to midcap or midcap to a large cap if that migration cannot happen that migration only happens when the pie is so big if the market size is so big so this is what I had been doing unknowingly later on maybe 6 7 8 years back or 10 years back I one day I I sat and I realized what exactly I'm doing in this market. So I found out that this is what the formula actually I am following.
