I'm going to just correct that a bit. So, okay. Uh, our official for bull case is 1.5 million. Okay. Now, what what got us to that 3.8 is using modern portfolio theory uh if we were to include uh Bitcoin in portfolios at its optimal weight. So maximizing the sharp ratio that would have provided that increment to 3.8 million.
Now believe it or not that position size when we did that analysis was 19% of a diversified portfolio. That's a lot. Kathy Wood has done it again. Just when people thought her Bitcoin projections couldn't get any more explosive, she's pushed the conversation to a whole new level. In her latest interview, she doesn't just predict Bitcoin at a million dollars.
She outlines the math behind a scenario where it could soar to nearly 4 million per coin. For years, critics have laughed at her forecasts. But now with institutions entering the market and AI reshaping economic growth, even the skeptics are forced to pay attention. This isn't a wild guess. It's a vision grounded in data conviction and a belief that Bitcoin will be the defining asset of the next financial era.
Well, you swing for the fences when your cousins, your when civilians ask you, "Hey, how much Bitcoin should I own? What's the number you would say in private to a family member? To a family member. Yeah. You you want to protect them. You're not like, "Hey, we're we're swinging for the fences. This needs to be our home run." But
I'll tell you what I've told my children for a long time now is average in. I mean, you know, average in, you know, every month, every just average in and uh and and then I would leave it to them in terms of their comfort factor. That small piece of advice captures what makes Kathy Wood different from almost anyone else on Wall Street.
While others talk about diversification or short-term hedges, she speaks about conviction over convenience. To average in is not just an investment strategy. It's a philosophy. It reflects her belief that time in the market beats timing the market. especially when the asset in question represents, in her view, a once- ina century technological revolution.
For her, Bitcoin isn't a gamble. It's an inevitable reordering of global capital. Arc has this ability to be a vehicle for a lot of folks that are just living their normal day-to-day lives and they want the answer to what is going to do well in the future and they can go and they can they can buy your ETFs and then they can participate in that future.
There's a lot of people that are frustrated, palpably frustrated with an inability to sort of get ahead and break through, build wealth. Her mission goes beyond profit. It's about democratizing access to innovation. For decades, early stage opportunities were reserved for the wealthy, elite, and institutional investors.
Now, through ARC's ETFs, Wood has made those doors swing open for everyday people who want a piece of the future. Her enthusiasm for Bitcoin aligns perfectly with that mission. It's the ultimate equalizer, a financial network that doesn't care who you are, how much you earn, or where you live. One of the questions I get regularly from retail investors used to be, why can't we access the private markets?
We know more about those technologies than most of the institutions who are buying them. They have no idea. We're passionate about it. And so we've gotten more vocal and this administration is certainly uh becoming more vocal and and and um more more focused on this this particular idea because it is unamerican, right?
To you have to meet this. Well, you use chat GBT every day, but you can't buy open AI. Exactly. But you can buy a lottery ticket or you can bet on sports and it makes no sense. That frustration is at the heart of her philosophy. Kathy Wood doesn't just see Bitcoin as an investment. She sees it as a moral statement against the exclusionary structure of traditional finance.
She's right. The irony is staggering. Millions can legally gamble their paychecks away, but they can't invest a few hundred in groundbreaking technology companies because they're not accredited. Bitcoin, by contrast, has no gatekeepers. It's open to anyone, anywhere. That's what makes it revolutionary and why Wood's conviction borders on evangelical.
You know, I used to say, you know, it would be what we're doing in the investment world right now would be the equivalent of saying you can't drive because you don't h make enough money or you do not have enough net worth. Take a test. Take a test. And we we have this big question in the country about polarization of wealth.
50 60% of the country has some exposure equities, but the people who don't, they tend to trend towards socialism or handouts. Maybe they don't feel they're part of what we experience, which is we meet great founders and you get to do public and private and we get to say, "Yeah, you know, I drove in a FSD car when Tesla was private or whatever it is and or I looked at Coinbase when it was private or Uber." Here she connects Bitcoin's rise to something much larger.
The growing divide between those who build wealth and those locked out of it. For Wood, decentralization isn't just about technology. It's about justice. In her mind, the old financial rules that restricted access created resentment and division. Bitcoin with its transparent ledger and borderless nature could be the first real cure to economic inequality.
It's a system that rewards knowledge, patience, and foresight, not privilege. Maybe they don't feel they're part of what we experience, which is we meet great founders and you get to do public and private and we get to say, "Yeah, you know, I drove in a FSD car when Tesla was private or whatever it is and or I looked at Coinbase when it was private or Uber.
Yeah, I got the sense I want to put one or two% into that." That one or 2% she refers to has become a rallying cry for retail investors worldwide. It's the idea that even a small position in Bitcoin could one day transform ordinary lives. It's not about getting rich overnight. It's about being part of the transformation.
For Wood, those early adopters aren't speculators. They're pioneers. And as institutional money begins flooding in, her predictions, once dismissed as outrageous, are starting to look eerily plausible. The risk question we obviously we get a lot because our portfolios are volatile. They don't look like the benchmarks and uh when markets get uh uh into a bearish period, investors tend to hug their benchmarks and we're moving in the opposite direction.
Uh so I just want to say we do what we do and you know that's what our adviserss expect. They don't expect us to raise cash or or do anything. They might that's their decision, right? In terms of what we do to control risk during bare markets, we will concentrate towards our highest conviction name.
This is where Kathy Wood sets herself apart from the pack. Most managers play it safe when volatility spikes, but she doubles down on conviction. During bare markets, she doesn't retreat. she focuses and that's exactly what she's doing with Bitcoin. Her view is simple. Every crash is a test and every test is an opportunity to accumulate more of the future at a discount.
It's that blend of faith and analytics that fuels her milliondoll forecast. During bull markets, which I do believe we are in a bull market that is broadening out, we tend to diversify because the IPOs start appearing again and um we have more information on some of the companies we've sold during the bare market.
Wood's comment about the bull market broadening out is a quiet yet powerful signal. In her eyes, we're not just in another cycle. We're on the cusp of something epical as new technologies converge. AI, blockchain, robotics, and genomics. She sees Bitcoin as the digital centerpiece of a new economy. When innovation explodes, it doesn't do so in isolation.
It creates feedback loops of growth, productivity, and valuation. And in that world, a million dollar Bitcoin isn't insane. It's arithmetic. There are ways to access innovation and one of the question many ways of course uh we have packaged it up. We don't look anything like a traditional benchmark.
So if they're diversifying we're a very good uh source of diversification especially in trying to get exposure to innovation. That's the final piece of her puzzle for Wood. Bitcoin is not a sideshow. It's the foundation of what she calls the new innovation stack. It's both a hedge against inflation and a bet on progress itself.
She's not afraid to look foolish in the short term because she believes history will vindicate her long-term vision. And as institutions adopt Bitcoin, the ETF approvals multiply and the macro landscape evolves. Her projections seem less like hype and more like a blueprint. Kathy Wood has never been shy about her convictions.
Whether she's forecasting Tesla's dominance or Bitcoin's exponential rise, her approach combines faith in innovation with an almost mathematical confidence in disruption. To her, the $1.5 million price target isn't fantasy. It's the product of rigorous modeling, decades of studying capital flows, and an unwavering belief that the future belongs to the bold.
Now, believe it or not, that position size when we did that analysis was 19% of a diversified portfolio. That's a lot. Yeah. I have more in mine. So, the question is, if Kathy Wood truly believes Bitcoin could one day trade at over a million dollars, how much would you be willing to hold when the world still calls it Crazy.
