01. hey everyone Kevin here is the Federal Reserve just announced a rule change to limitations on savings accounts I'm gonna explain those limitations how they have been changed and I want to use this as an opportunity to talk to you about where you should be putting your money instead of a savings account and no it's not a high-yield savings account it's something way better all right let's hit the rule change first so here's the thing the Federal Reserve has a regulation called Regulation D it doesn't really matter what it's called basically the rule says that if you have a savings account or a money market account which is kind of like a savings account that you know might let you write some checks or get a higher yield it doesn't matter the rule says you're limited to 6 transfers per month into or out of that savings account well at a time like this kind of crisis it's kind of frustrating to have any kind of limit on your money you want access to your money it's your money after all you should have control of it honestly like to me it just makes me think like why is that rule there in the first place that rule shouldn't even exist that's the kind of stuff that makes people not want to have a bank account and take their money and shove it in the mattress or all these other weird ways of buying gold burying it in their backyard because people don't trust the banks and can't trust the government or this that it would ah so today I want to share my POV on what I recommend you do if you have money in a savings account or wherever you have any left over money this is what you should do with it even if it's just $100 let's get into it first I'm gonna take a little snippet here from my course on money this isn't a pitch for you to go buy my course on money and just mention I talked about this a lot in there in the psychology my belief and it's based on Harvard research is that if you have money sitting in a savings account or a bank account so that when you open up your phone and you look at your chase app or Wells Fargo or whatever and you see like your checking account your savings account or whatever and you see the money there you are nearly 100% likely to spend that money in other words you open up your bank account you see oh I got 500 bucks my that Carnival Cruise is only 497 right now because nobody wants to go cruising hmm I could borrow that money and repay my savings account later obviously you're not gonna go on a Carnival Cruise but you see that's a Harvard research says that if you see money in your bank account you're nearly 100% likely to spend it instead if you take that money and transfer it to something different you can also save it and let it sit around but the odds of you spending it are next to zero but what you transfer that money to is very very important Harvard found that if you transfer the money to an investment account you're almost 0% likely to spend it even though you can still call it your savings just moving the money to an investment account makes you feel so hesitant to take money out of your investments that the odds are you won't spend the money and instead you'll have the money there and you'll leave it there to grow and maybe one day you'll even buy a stock with it or something this isn't saying that you have to put it in the stocks remember brokerage accounts or investment accounts are just fancy big words but you can actually take the money that you have in your savings account you could take your $500 or $10,000 or $100,000 whatever money you have in your savings account you could literally transfer it over to a company that lets you buy stocks and not buy stocks you could just have it sit there much like a savings account and now you win on two fronts number one you win the psychological battle you have it out of sight out of mind you're not looking at it in your savings account according to Harvard you're not tempted to spend it this is good but what's the second thing that you could do when you have money sitting around in an investment account just kind of hang it out there and it's your savings account maybe you even do recurring deposits into that account what happens next well this is the fun part I can deposit my savings into an account like this this is an m1 finance account and I have $500 in their sort of checking account which they actually give me a debit card so I can access it but because I use Chase on a daily basis I don't really think about this $500 that's here the cool thing about having my money at m1 Finance though in my opinion is if I see a stock that I'd like like Disney or something and I'm like you know what I think I want to buy a share of Disney now buy one slice of Disney or you know what I'll buy I don't know $100 worth the Disney it doesn't matter if the share is trading for $100 or not they'll go ahead and put $100 into Disney for me and I'll go ahead and buy that and tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m.

02. alone a hundred more dollars of Disney so consider what just happened here the Federal Reserve has a rule saying you could now move money into and out of a savings account as much as you want cool great but you could do that all day long with a trading account an investment account or a brokerage account which basically all the same thing all day long anyway except the bonuses I get the psychological bonus of not being tempted to spend my money and if I want to buy a share of any stock that I like no problem I could do that with m1 finance but not just m1 finance let's say instead I go to Robin Hood which I also happen to have the Robin Hood cash account and I have a little bit of money that I have extra sitting around and today I just happen to feel inspired I'm gonna buy a share of Disney let's do it let's buy a share of Disney which is one hundred and six dollars or you know what to make it match the purchase that we did at m1 finance let me change this over here to buy in dollars so it allows me to buy fractional shares of Disney basically I'm buying 0.94 percent of one share of Disney and there we go all right order received I have now placed my order so when the market opens up tomorrow I've now moved exactly a hundred dollars and cued it up to buy $100 worth of Disney so now I'm motivated to actually invest while also not spending my money and then once you start getting the investing bug like me and you get your two free stocks with weeble you'll open up the Weeble platform and rather than having to wait until 7 a.m.

03. tomorrow when the market opens with m1 Finance or 6:00 a.m. when pre trading hours open up with Robin Hood I could go over here into the Weeble app and just buy one share of Disney right now and let's go ahead and make that a good tale cancelled order and let's go ahead and click the little box here that says extended hours on and let's just buy a hundred and six dollars worth of Disney right now confirm using weeble and there we go I now own one more share of Disney so if you want to start building your wealth and finally grow some passive income maybe it's time to ditch that psychologically damaging savings account anyway who cares that you can now trade money in and out of your savings account as much as you want you could do that all day long anyway with an investment account I don't even care which one you use you want to get two free stocks you could use weeble that one's a little bit more complicated to use if you want the most simple one honestly the most simple one to use is probably m1 finance because you can buy index funds really easily and if you want to play options go with robhinhood they make options trading really easy but that's pretty complicated and advanced right now I just encourage you get your money out of a silly savings account and at least move it over into an investing account that way you have the choice to buy stocks and if you don't want to buy stocks then don't just let the money sit there and you can move it as much as you want anyway but listen to Harvard and get your money out of a savings account thanks so much for watching remember you can get your free quote for life insurance and signup within just five minutes on your phone or life insurance also join me in my amazing programs a link down below I teach you psychology just like this except I teach you how to make hundreds of thousands of dollars by buying real estate below market value managing real estate yourself and building your passive income and of course if you're an agent learning how to sell real estate better ]
