01. Hello, viewers of Rich Magic TV. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video today. It is the evening of January 18, 2025. Today, I would like to compare the returns of two representative funds that invest in the US market: QQQ and SXX. Although both invest in all tech stocks, their returns can differ because their investment targets differ.

02. Which one shows a higher return? Let's take a closer look together. First, I would like to introduce QQQ. Its official name is the Invesco QQQ Trust, and it tracks the NASDAQ Back Index. It invests in the top 100 companies by market capitalization in the non-financial sector listed on the NASDAQ market.

03. It primarily constructs a portfolio centered on tech and growth stocks, including major tech companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Tesla. Looking into it a bit, its market capitalization is around $317.8, and it closed at $521.3 yesterday. Also, looking at its top 10 holdings, Apple stands at 88.8% and Vidia at 88.2%.

04. Microsoft 7.6%, Amazon 5.3%, Metacritic 4.9%, Broadcom 4.7%, Tesla 4.1%, Costco 2.7%, Alphabet 2.4%, Netflix 2.4%. Well, there are some gem companies included. Now, let's take a look at the investment indicators. The management fee is about 0.2%, and regarding dividends, there is a dividend per share of $2.84 per year, with an annual yield of about 0.55%.

05. To mention the advantages, I would like to highlight high growth potential, technological prowess, and high liquidity. The disadvantages seem to be high volatility; it appears to be sensitive to economic variables such as interest rates. Next, let me introduce SXX If. First, its official name is ICEA Semiconductor, and it estimates the IC semiconductor index.

06. In the past, it estimated the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, but there has been a change now. It invests in semiconductor design, manufacturing, and distribution companies, and you can consider it to include major companies leading the semiconductor industry such as Nvidia, TSMC, and Intel. First, if you look at the market capitalization, it is about $144.2.

07. And finally, yesterday The closing price is 229.72. It invests in 30 US-listed semiconductor companies. If you look at the top 10 holdings, Broadcom is the highest at 11.5%, followed by NVIDIA at 7.8%, AMD at 7.1%, Qualcomm at 6.1%, Texas Instruments at 5.9%, Marvell Technology at 4.8%, Lam Research at 3.9%, Analog Devices at 3.9%, K at 3.9%, and TSMC at 3.9%.

08. It is truly a portfolio that includes semiconductor-related companies. The operating fee is 0.35%, and dividends are paid four times a year; the dividend per share for the December payment is $1.44 annually, resulting in an annual yield of approximately 0.63%. Looking at the advantages, it benefits from the growth of the semiconductor industry.

09. Also, because we are currently at the beginning of the AI and Fourth Industrial Revolution, the growth potential is limitless. As for the disadvantages, the semiconductor industry is sensitive to economic fluctuations and has a cyclical nature. Therefore, the semiconductor industry is concentrated in a specific sector.

10. In a way, the lower liquidity compared to QQQ is a disadvantage. Let's compare the returns. Comparing daily returns, QQQ shows a 1.7% profit, while SXX shows 2.88%. If we look at SXX and QQQ, they are very similar with roughly this much difference. But who won when looking at monthly returns? QQQ is -2.6%, and SXX N is 2.6%.

11. There is a bit of a difference in returns; QQQ N is incurring a loss, while SXX N is making a profit. Now, if we compare the one-year returns, a reversal occurs. Originally, SX was higher for the day and month, but when comparing the year, suddenly SXX shows a 23.05% return and QQQN is 28.13%, so QQQ wins.

12. If you look, the difference becomes stark from now on. SX is higher for a certain period, but then it suddenly enters a cycle. So, as semiconductors suddenly plummet, the QQQ and Net Wt indices rise. This shows that a reversal is happening again. Because all stocks are volatile, this divergence resembles the intersecting ginseng, which is why it is referred to as a living organism.

13. If we compare 5-year returns, the trend reverses. QQQ rises from 13.57% to 164.96%, and then climbs back up. Let's compare the 10-year period. Looking at the 10-year figures, QQQ shows a return of approximately 422.7% and SXX 683.80%. That is tremendous. If you look at the monthly and overall chart returns, QQQ achieved 48.3% and SXX 9.19%, demonstrating incredible returns.

14. It is impressive. You can see that both are trending upwards. So, to summarize, let me elaborate a bit. If we look at past data, during boom times for the semiconductor industry, investments in QQQ tend to record high returns. Conversely, when the semiconductor industry is sluggish, you saw a divergence, right?

15. It appears to show a QQ subscription pattern. This depends on the performance of the companies included in each index, industry trends, macroeconomic conditions, etc. The point is that things can change, and it is particularly concentrated in the semiconductor industry, consisting of 30 companies. That is why it is more susceptible to the volatility of that industry.

16. When estimating the QQQ and SXX indices, the average volatility is exactly... how is it that SXX has less volatility than semiconductors? I think it would be good to summarize up to this point. Regarding investment considerations, I suggest analyzing the market conditions, investment goals and duration, risk tolerance, and diversification.

17. When considering these, I would like to say that they are suitable for investors who value long-term growth potential. However, since SXX has higher volatility for both ETFs, it would be better to take a long-term investment approach. Also, since both tend to be high-volatility, investors must consider their risk tolerance level.

18. In particular, since SXX is an ETF with a concentrated investment in a specific industry like the semiconductor sector, you must accept a higher risk. My personal opinion is that rather than concentrating on a specific ETF, it would be better to diversify across various assets. I suggest you consider and study market conditions at the time of investment, interest rates, exchange rates, and especially the outlook for the semiconductor industry.

19. So, I will wrap up today's video. QQQ and SX are attractive ETFs, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Which one is more I do n't think we can definitively say that the returns are low. Since it is an investor's goal, I hope you make a prudent choice by comprehensively considering factors such as the timeframe, risk tolerance, and market conditions.

20. Rather than relying on past returns, I hope you make investment decisions by comprehensively analyzing future growth potential, industry trends, and macroeconomic conditions. To summarize, I want to reiterate that past returns do not guarantee future returns; I simply hope you check the trend of the ETF in question.

21. That is all for today's video. I will do my best to be back tomorrow with more challenge content. Thank you.
