to my customers of Schiff Gold, keep on buying. You know, gold is not going to stay below 5,000 for long. Right now, it's below 4750. Buy gold this weekend. Buy silver at 75 and change. Remember, we blew through this $50 resistance. We're not going anywhere near that. Uh the support, obviously, is now just below 70, but like 75 at we are going to take off in the price of silver.
So, if anything, I think it's actually encouraging, bordering on astounding, that gold has held up as well as it has in the face of a truly massive jolt of selling to the market at a time where people are unsure of what's going on. So, bottom line, you know, take a deep breath, take a step back, look at the long-term picture.
Gold anywhere near 5,000, which it was over 48 last I looked on the futures market, you know, anywhere near 5,000, that that's it's not a bad place to be. Prominent economist and vocal opponent of fiat monetary systems, Peter Schiff contends that the Federal Reserve is losing control over the mechanisms of inflation.
He claims that even when politicians try to tighten regulations, they fall behind because inflation keeps outpacing their efforts. This leads to negative real interest rates, a crucial factor that has traditionally fueled significant increases in the value of precious metals. Additionally, Schiff thinks that official narratives, which frequently place the blame on transient external variables rather than systemic monetary problems, will continue to downplay inflation threats.
Schiff cautions that the long-term picture supports a substantial move toward tangible assets as debt levels grow and currency confidence declines. According to him, this might result in a significant increase in the price of gold and silver, as well as more pressure on the US currency. The broader picture points to a financial system that is only now starting to deal with the fallout from years of lax monetary policy.
Don't forget to like, subscribe, and ring the bell for the latest analysis on gold and silver markets. We'd love to hear your predictions. Drop a comment below. But anyway, so all of this news um is is bullish for gold. Stagflation, that's going to get worse on both sides. Economy's going to get weaker.
Inflation's going to get stronger. The Fed is on hold until it eventually cuts because it will be forced to cut by all the political pressure building because of the economy. The weakness in the labor market, the weakness potentially in the stock market. Uh and the Fed is going to excuse once again the increase in prices.
It's going to ignore money supply, ignore its balance sheet, which is the real tell on inflation. And it's going to claim that it's temporary, it's transitory, it's due to the war, it's a lingering effect of tariffs. We're going to look through that because we have bigger problems, and gold is going to go ballistic.
The dollar is going to tank. So, before that happens, again uh to my uh customers of SchiffGold, keep on buying. You know, gold is not going to stay below 5,000 for long. Right now, it's below 47.50. Buy gold this weekend. Buy silver at 75 and change. Remember, we blew through this $50 resistance. We're not going anywhere near that.
Uh the support obviously is now just below 70, but like 75 at we are going to take off in the price of silver. This is the best environment that the the sell-off I think was very healthy. We did get uh some people that kind of jumped on the bandwagon earlier this year when gold and silver prices were skyrocketing.
Gold was over 5,500. Silver was 120. We got some short-term speculators. They've been flushed out. Uh so, I think we've cleared out a lot of that excess baggage and the bull train is going to keep on riding. Uh some people, I think now again, they're they're going to have to get much higher prices. They got They got scared because gold pulled back.
Oh, there was a war and gold went down. Yes, because it went up so much in anticipation of the war. So, there's a buy the rumor, sell the fact, but the trend is up. You can't be disappointed in $4,750 gold. This is a major uptrend and we haven't seen the highs. We're not even close to the highs and we're not even close to the highs of silver.
So, buy some silver and don't forget these gold stocks, I think, are um a great speculative uh opportunity. So, if you're bullish on gold and silver, uh you really should have positions in in the mining stocks as well as uh the metals themselves. In fact, I have a special report that I wrote. This is like a year old now.
You can get it on my on the Euro Pac website. Uh the best way to buy gold, uh it's still there and it was buying gold in the ground. Gold stocks and silver stocks have gone way up. The timing on that special report was perfect uh for anybody who downloaded it and acted on it right when I wrote it because that was before the gold stocks moved at all and then they tripled.
So, it was great timing, but I think the story uh is still relevant even if it's not as perfect on a timing perspective. I think it's still cheaper to buy it uh in the ground uh than buy it from Schiff Gold. Although, you should buy both. Anyway, let me uh wrap up uh the week uh in all the markets. So, gold ended the week on a down note.
It was down about 18 bucks. It was positive and negative throughout the course of the day. I kind of ended the day near the lows, actually, but not quite on the lows. But, gold settled at around $4,745 an ounce, up just under 2% on the week. Silver had a better week. In fact, it had a better day. It closed up about $0.55 at $75.76, well off the high of the day.
But, silver up 4.75% on the week. And the mining stocks also had a good week. The GDX was up 5%. But, everything was up. And the main rally was Wednesday. Now, gold actually was up as soon as the, you know, the tacos were served on on Tuesday night. Gold futures, you know, shot up. And gold was up about $120 an ounce.
And by the time the US markets opened on Wednesday, gold had paired those gains to about maybe 80 bucks. And then it ended lower on the day. Gold was down on Wednesday when everything else was up, including silver. But, uh the Dow had a big gain, up over 1,000 points. I forget exactly how many. But, on the week, the Dow ended up 3%.
So, not as much as gold stocks, but a nice move. The Nasdaq was up 4.2% on the week. Even Bitcoin had a rally. Bitcoin was up about 5 and 1/2%. So, actually pretty good. It uh it it beat uh silver, beat gold stocks. Of course, you know, Bitcoin is still, you know, barely above 70,000, I think, as I'm I'm talking.
It's around 72, maybe 73,000, 73,200. So, a little higher. Still below the average cost of uh strategy. But, back above 70,000. But, I don't think it'll stay above 70,000 for long. Um the dollar got beat up on the week. Dollar index settled about 98 and a half. And it was above 100. It closed last week at about 100 spot, too.
So, the dollar down across the board on the ceasefire. Treasury yields were down, but just barely, just barely. The yield on the 10-year Treasury dropped to about 4.3 from closer to 4.4. And the 30-year yield was down even less. Barely down. It closed at 4.92. I think it was maybe 4.95, 4.96 the the prior week.
So, the the spread between the 10 and the 30 widened a little bit on the week. In uncertain markets, price movements don't always follow the narrative investors expect, especially when it comes to precious metals. While many assume gold should rise instantly during economic stress, short-term liquidity needs can actually push prices down.
Lobo Tigre breaks down this paradox, explaining how gold serves not only as a long-term store of value, but also as a highly liquid asset investors turn to when cash is needed quickly. During moments of financial strain, margin calls and forced selling can drive temporary declines even within a strong bullish trend.
There are two important points to remember from this viewpoint. First, having liquidity allows you to seize opportunities when markets are unstable. Second, you can position yourself to profit from the next significant upward rise by remaining prepared and focused instead of responding emotionally. You know, I I put my money where my mouth was on when I was talking. I don't remember last time you and I spoke. Um but if it was within the last quarter, I was talking about, you know, buy low, sell high. Don't forget to sell high. Well, I did that and I booked a lot of you know, I had unrealized gains, substantial the in my portfolio.
I went ahead and took the money. Mind you, I didn't sell an ounce of gold or silver. Like my savings, my rainy day fund, that's not a trading sardine. That's not even an investment in my view. That is, as I was saying, my savings. So, I don't trade with that at all. But the stocks, I didn't buy them to hold them forever.
I bought them low to sell them high. So, when they were high, I sold them. A lot of them. And I bring this up because, you know, now in many ways I'm in the same boat as that person who missed that big rally. And that right now I'm not short in the sense I'm not shorting the market, but I'm short in the sense that I don't have a lot of gold and silver stocks.
So, I'm looking at this volatility as as potentially my friend here. And you know, the the beautiful thing is that I'm now well cashed up to take advantage of that. I just did an interview with Rick Rule yesterday. And I'll only mention this because Rick talked about how the single time that he made the most money in his entire career was backing up and making contrarian bets bets in 2008 and 2009.
And, you know, he had the cash to buy when everyone else was selling. Blood in the streets, that sort of thing. And he literally made a fortune on on betting right. You know, I didn't have that much money in 2008. I was in the markets, but I didn't have that much money. This time if we get, you know, a major market event or the war puts things on sale or you know, the AI bubble blows up, any of this stuff, Elijah, I am now well positioned to not just make some good money, but to make a serious fortune on the next big leg of the markets.
And to your question, sorry, long randed long rambling answer to your question, but for gold and silver bulls out there, it is my expectation that the next major move in gold and silver is up, not down. And you can be mad at me for having taken some profits, but I'm excited to have that cash now ready to deploy ahead of that next big move.
And I'm I'm waiting for volatility be my friend, and right now it sure looks like that's what's on the menu. But I got to push back against the question. I I don't think gold is trading like a risk asset at all. At all. It happens to be that gold is in a period of correction and consolidation trading sideways.
At the same time, the markets, the broader markets have rolled over and are not sure where to go. I think they're completely different drivers. It's It's not that investors or commodities traders, you know, even mainstream types on the comics, it's not that they're putting those in the same bucket. Another thing is that you know, but I still get it.
Like, "Ooh, war, scary stuff, straight up war moose scare. Why Why isn't gold 10,000?" I understand that people might have expected that. But remember that in times of crisis gold also is savings. It is a form of liquidity. When your margin clerk calls and says we've got to sell something, they're going to sell it, you know, what they can get a bid on.
It's not surprising in the immediate crunch of a crisis for for gold to see some selling. That's That's why it's there in many people's portfolios. And notably right now, that includes sovereigns. Uh you know, Turkey uh infamously now sold something like 120 tons of gold uh since the war broke out. That is something like 15% of the annual turnover of central banks.
To have that all hit the market in a couple of weeks, that's a big deal. So, if anything, I think it's actually encouraging, bordering on astounding, that gold has held up as well as it has in the face of a truly massive jolt of selling to the market at a time where people are unsure of what's going on.
So, you know, bottom line, you know, take a deep breath, take a step back, look at the long-term picture. Gold anywhere near 5,000, which it was over 48 last I looked on the futures market, you know, anywhere near 5,000, that that's that's not a bad place to be. It you know, if you're in the business of actually mining the stuff, it's a phenomenal level.
You are like literally printing cash, like real money, hard money, not funny money, you know, paper money. Um and silver also, you know, these price levels are doing really well. So, the the actual business of exploring for, developing, and mining these metals, it's fine where we are. And and that the correction hasn't been worse in the face of, you know, a serious selling on the sovereign level, I I think it's really very encouraging.
And then just before the war, we had this hockey stick move, right? We had, you know, near vertical price movement. Of course, a breather after that is to be expected even even without the war. So, I don't really see anything alarming or surprising in the latest market action. If anything, if I had completely missed the the big run in gold and silver, I'd be welcoming this opportunity to uh you know, back up the truck for something that I missed out on before.
In the end, Lobo Tigre is stating that the current state of the gold market is normal and even healthy. So, there's no need to panic. He clarifies that gold is not acting like a conventional risk asset that fluctuates in value due to market anxiety. Rather, gold has its own motivators. As of right now, it's just going through a phase of consolidation, which means that following a significant increase, prices are heading sideways.
Gold doesn't have to move in the same direction or for the same reasons just because larger financial markets are having difficulties and are unpredictable. He also clarifies a widespread misconception that gold will instantly soar in times of crisis. However, gold actually serves as a means of liquidity and savings.
Gold is one of the easiest investments to sell when investors are under sudden pressure, such as margin calls. Because of this, even in in a bull market, prices may momentarily decline. He goes so far as to say that massive sales, such as the unloading of gold by central banks, can exert a great deal of short-term pressure.
His message becomes more strategic and forward-thinking as he concludes. Instead of responding emotionally to short-term actions, he stresses the sig nificance of zooming out and concentrating on the larger picture. He believes that silver and gold are still at extremely high prices, particularly for the mining sector, which is making good profits at these levels.
The current decline is more like a respite following a sharp increase than a danger indicator. Thanks for watching. If you like this video, give it a thumbs up, subscribe, and turn on post notifications so you never miss an update.
