the spiking started happening and this may be because when you look at southern states you know first you look up north and you go ah New York was closed down Jersey was closed down like everything's closed down you look down south and everybody's having a party down there no social distancing and no masks were required it was basically a breeding ground for kovat we see that now hindsight of Republican National Convention is going to be held in the state of Florida which just had over 15 thousand three hundred new coronavirus cases breaking the national record for the highest single day of infections any state has had since the pandemics so far so now Florida can proudly add this to their record of leading the nation in the number of deaths caused by alligators and manatees on the bright side though a Disney World is opening that's right Disney World is open and despite the fact that Governor Ron DeSantis just extended florida state of emergency for another 60 days this is seriously like mcdonald's encouraging us to pop on by for a happy meal during the outbreak of mad cow disease the idea sounds appealing but you'll probably regret it afterwards now despite the rising rate of Cova 19 infections governor De Santis of Florida held a press conference to say quote Disney I have no doubt is going to be a safe environment yeah and nothing says safe environment more than thousands of kids with runny noses and coughs running around Disney World while fondling stuffed animals in gift shops and flinging overpriced a chocolate fudge the idea that a theme park would open in the face of a raging pandemic has also sparked backlash across a social media which really piled up after Disney World posted a marketing video showing employees wearing masks and saying welcome home it kind of gives you the feels that you're starting to watch a good horror movie and you're scratching your head wondering why is Jeepers Creepers playing Jeepers Creepers well it also makes you ask why did Disneyland in Hong Kong close with just 52 local cases of Coppa 19 but in Orlando with hundreds more low cases of kovat 19 thousands of cases statewide per day shattering records we're opening up to snow white and goofy and masks speaking of goofy yesterday the mayor of Orange County Florida not to be confused with Orange County California where they're opening schools without social distancing the mayor of Orange County Florida Jerry Demings said we are excited for the reopening but it's also concerning to me at the very same time this to me is the definition of speaking out of both sides of your mouth as a leader to cover both possibilities to say well we opened but hey I express my concerns or if it goes well hey I'm glad I opened up this is very similar to the mayor saying we think the Orlando Magic team has a great chance to win the NBA championship but it's also concerning they have had a losing record or I'm looking forward to celebrating my wedding anniversary with my wife but I'm concerned we've been divorced since 2011 but hey at least mayor damming 'he's also gave us some reassurances he said if indications are that we're exceeding our hospital capacity or any outbreaks are associated with disney we won't hesitate to ask them to reevaluate the opening that's right it's a small world after all and it's getting smaller due to the 109 percent increase in Florida's hospital ventilator use at this point Disney might consider changing its slogan from the happiest place on earth to the sick Leah space on earth maybe I should rethink having them in my portfolio of stocks anyway billionaire restaurateur Tillman for Tata lamented on CNBC which that's almost like a redundant statement somebody went on CNBC to lament about something sorry anyway he went on to complain about that the opening up and Adi opening again is killing his business because every time he has to open he has to buy a bunch of inventories to be ready for customers to come and then they get shut down again and all of those inventories go to waste they don't want to give people stale beer after all and so Tillman for Tata you know there's one thing I could say to him to make him feel a little bit better since he's a billionaire I have a plan for him I personally think Disney is a decent recovery stock you've kind of got a mix of the Carnival Cruise Line in there you got a mix of the Netflix in there with Disney Plus and you got some theme parks and come on brand value let's go but I think Tilghman frittata should get out of restaurants and maybe invest his money into Disney and he can embrace Disney with a new ride the new attraction could be called the ambulance ride and there's also going to be a new roller coaster that she should put in and that roller coaster is going to be called the V except the ve only goes down the Haunted Mansion will be converted to the Haunted hospital and Splash Mountain will consist of all of the sold out Purell from Amazon in place of water and if you wait in line you'll listen to videos on loop of our reassuring Senate telling us that it's all gonna be okay we're all gonna be just fine but for now we're just gonna wait and see Delta reported record losses yesterday and said that no recovery was in sight for the next 12 to 24 months and also warned that price wars will keep the entire airline industry unprofitable the president and this was surprising then said that he had a range of conversations with epidemiologists and they all agree if we wore masks we'd substantially mute the transmission of the virus he said in fact I'm worried that since mid-june the rebound we expected is stalling somewhat if we all wore masks he said unemployment would be lower and GDP would go up he reiterated that he likes to keep an eye on hospitalizations because he doesn't like to see hospitals overrun with patients and encourages avoiding new gatherings or indoor gatherings any kind of gatherings he also said masks would dramatically reduce the probability of transmission and that until we have a vaccine we should follow these protocols to minimize the spread he also said that some form of unemployment extension is going to be critical and agrees that unemployment might have to be restructured but we do need some sort of extension thank you oh wait it looks here like the script actually says I was supposed to lead this by saying and now some quotes from Robert Kaplan president of the Dallas bank of the Federal Reserve write that president but hey you know what instead of getting man for that Mis ordering let's take it for what it's worth the Federal Reserve is now giving us advice too well mask up so you got to pick your side are you for the Horde or for the Alliance
