today's January 5th 2018 Johnny got to podcast off this week I mean we've been so busy the International ICO and crypto broadcaster is this an investor to broadcast this is going to be a little bit of both how about that okay now now are you gonna get out on a flight this afternoon I'm heading up to White Plains right now going out on the private roads are clear I mean it stops snowing last night they've been working this area that I'm in right now if Jersey's not too bad for it in the city it was pretty bad because in New York you know you got nowhere to put the snow just like they don't have alleys you know and I didn't think of that they've got nowhere to put the snow I mean that's a problem they just push it and you know where are you gonna put it over by the Bitcoin mining place to keep the computer chips cool call him Rick by the way they call him Rick Stanford ray going mining Greg yeah which yesterday we had a nice pop in AMD because everybody was thinking that it was you know part of that whole chain thing and because it's an alternative to you know there's only two people that really make the main chips and your computers these days AMD and Intel Intel all of a sudden had that security issue right huh yeah that's right you know pay for it over or talked it down but that's been a real problem for them and you know kudos to you you are long and strong in AMD and that worked out nicely and I got off on a few of them I got out a little bit today some more because they're saying that the chip has some sort of flaw in it and it could lose up to 30% of its power so I'm gonna wait to that headline kind of goes away I could always get back into it later so it's not gonna really bother me right now and then of course my crypto stuff I'm holding long into that and this ripple stuff oh my god see that oh yeah ripple down almost 40% at one point today right yeah it's a no-go I'm not good after no china pana doesn't like that oh that's bad and but the ripple guys I mean the ripples lost twins the guys that started ripple briefly you know for what for 24 hours almost the guy was one of the two co-founders was richer than Zuckerberg because they owned between the two of them I think I want to say 58% of ripple and it's got 38 billion coins that's crazy most of us would say it's pretty unjustified the jump that it had if you have an unjustified jump maybe you have a lot more of the moves like today where people take it back really fast they'll come back to the real stuff eventually they always do they always do all right so what are we trading today anything good yeah I paid traded Textron exp in November there were takeover rumors these guys do get an impact from the tax reform of course they do a lot in the defense space exp they were buying I think the 60 calls with the thing around I want to say in the fifties and room I was buy an Apple 175 next week but here's the deep end of the pool folks I'll give you a spread instead of me buying that outright what I did was I jumped in on the 1-1 77 fifties regular January exploration against next week's 177 50s paid I think 40 or 50 cents for that spread if we go if this thing does search through 175 gets to 177 or whatever that thing could be a four bag not advice just telling you what I did and what I'm hoping for but it's low-risk time spread but it's two weeks out versus one week out we'll see how it plays I'm just holding the stock like get involved it seems a bit more sane way to play in my mind going forward yeah yeah I can see those no I mean if you're gonna you can always play around the edges right you get your core holding and then you turn a couple options against it okay right and then keep in mind we got the JPMorgan health care we'll see stuff starting to move over the weekend the ones that I'm in I'm in a call spread and Celgene CEO G they speak I think on Monday they kick off the conference then I'm also in Heron therapeutics and then new link n ln k new like I'm in that as well call spreads and we'll see I like like all three low risk you know I'm in call spreads which means that I'm not just going to be hammered by volatility compression or time decay because I've got a call spread one option against another option on yeah that is HRT X symbol for heroin it's only 18 early 1840s yeah the other ones 9 bucks no links 9 I think 9 20 or something yeah no thanks these these these are widow-makers though but you've got an event coming up next week so I mean if you're gonna play with them next week would be a good day or at least you know come I guess what is the conference Tuesday or Monday starts Monday okay so we could get could start right yeah like you said it could happen this weekend like nobody's going out to dinner and talking about stuff this weekend alright that's not how it happens right yeah not that it's not that it reads after hours or before the market opens not that that would ever happen never happened before right okay and what else are we doing up there in New York how was the cyclone bomb I mean other than it was that it was the wind was really what made it talk because oh well John has just left the building for who knows why don't we just end it there for today on that that note and I don't have to splice this stuff together to folks John obviously was in the car and
