01. hey what's up everybody welcome to ours world of finance in this quick video we're going to talk about AMD ticker symbol AMD and I just want to give a quick update on the stock because they recently had their financial analyst day and it was kind of a 4-hour event and they talked a lot about their products and if you've seen my other AMD videos you know that I have AMD stock and I'm holding it right now and I'm waiting for for a lot of these products to come out and to really help the stock and I think that it they will help the stock any not-too-distant future and a lot of there's a lot of really cool stuff going on here a lot of good information so I just want to cover it really quick so let's go ahead and get started now they talked about their Vega graphics cards these are their new graphics cards Radeon Vega Frontier Edition and Radeon Pro Vega SSG now they have machine learning capabilities they're good for artificial intelligence and deep learning workloads they run a deep bench test which is basically it's a popular deep learning benchmark and they ran this on the frontier and the frontier outperformed and videos P 100 by 30% and in videos P 100 is right now it's the world's fastest graphics processor that is available in the market so that's outstanding guys they also they have a high bandwidth processors and they are great for games so they tested them on games and games ran as well when limited to two gigabytes memory as as when they ran with no limitations so and that's really that's the advantage of the high bandwidth processors so great stuff there they also tested 4k gaming and the Vega ran Sniper Elite it's a video game and it ran it in 4k graphics 60 to 70 frames per second and it hit 80 frames per second a few times so great stuff there now Sniper Elite is it is what's the word I'm blanking on the word is optimized for a and B so you really have to run this test with other video games to really get a full impression but still grates up there now the pro Vega SSG which uses these solid Spade graphics that's what SSG stands for that's a really interesting one because it's great for very large data sets and the the reason why is because it can increase its 16 gigabyte high bandwidth memory to 2 terabytes so it's really great for for large data sets and so they tested it with a ray tracing demo and in the demo they turned off the SSG and every the demo ran like a slideshow it was like all chopped up and cut but when they turned the SSD on it was buttery smooth so it's just crazy guys so a lot of really good stuff coming out from there now the rising AP use they're made for the premium mobile market they're made for ultra portable devices too and ones and gaming notebooks and they have improved performance from their current ap use and this is shown with a 50% increase in performance in the CPU workloads 40% in the graphics and they use half the power so just outstanding improvements there now the risin thread Ripper you've probably heard of this one this is for high-end desktop so it's their new high-end desktop CPUs they can have up to 16 cores and up to 32 threads and when compared to mainstream Reisman they have more bandwidth more cash and more i/o functionality and they're really built to compete with Intel and they should be available in the summer so great stuff there and then there's epic which is the EP EYC and these are massive CPUs with up to 32 cores for the data center and they're made to compete with Intel in the server business which is great because AMD really needs to take a lot of this service of server market share and that's really where they need to focus a lot so they can have up to 32 course and 64 threads so just amazing and they do this by bridging for risin eight cord eyes together using AMD's infinity fabric technology so just a really outstanding stuff there and they have 45% more cores 122 percent more bandwidth and 60% greater IO function IO bandwidth versus the competition so just crazy numbers here and they have more iterations in the in the coming years they'll have more iterations in the coming years so they're going to keep expanding on it and keep working on it which is exactly what they need to do in the server market and all of this should help their stock a lot now I understand that they have a lot of competition from Nvidia and from Intel and stuff like that so I'm not delusional in that sense but you know in their last earnings call a lot of investors and a lot of analysts were expecting great numbers from them without these these products being factored in this stuff takes time guys so I really think that their stock their stock has been dropping and it's been a little volatile I really think that when when these products are coming out it's going to help the stock kind of solidify kind of you know turn into a more steady pace and I think it will really start to increase a little bit now that's just my opinion I could be wrong but I do still have high hopes for AMD so I will be holding on to my shares and I'm not saying that you're wrong I'm not saying them right but that's just my opinion I really like these products and I know there's a lot of competition but if you ask me is AMD doing what they need to do I would say yes they're doing what they need to do to be competitive in these
