01. Hello, and welcome back , subscribers, to our series of videos on the big stock buyers of the weekend, where this time we take a look at three falling stocks that Katie Wood just " bought the dip" on this weekend. That was again over $20 million in purchases in just these three stocks in the last week.

02. This is a huge amount in such a short period of time. Since Katie loves investing in innovative or disruptive technologies, each of these companies is also a big bet on the future of artificial intelligence. I excluded Tesla and SpaceX from this list because everyone already knows that she constantly buys these stocks.

03. I also didn't include Meta as I just made a separate video about them. But these three stocks are talked about a little less. One of them is a true AI giant, but the other two are much smaller, more speculative investments. So there should be an interesting variety to look at. As always, I will share my own opinion on each of these stocks and even say whether I approve of these purchases and whether I would consider buying these " sags" myself.

04. So it will be interesting. Let's get down to business. Oh, and if it's not too much trouble, could you take a moment to hit the like and hype buttons below ? This really helps my channel grow. This means a lot to me. So thank you for your support. I really appreciate her. So, let's move on to the first purchase, and it's a real giant in the AI โ€‹โ€‹fieldโ€”Taiwan Semiconductor, ticker TSM, in which Katie invested over $15 million in the last week alone.

05. To be fair , TSM isn't exactly collapsing right now. Two other stocks are definitely falling, which I'll show you in a moment. Huge drop on those other two. But TSM generally shows phenomenal results and rarely falls. However, at least the price has fallen by over 15% over the past month, and a few days ago it was down even more, by about 22%, which, you know, is not such a huge collapse compared to the other two we will look at.

06. But I think it's a significant enough drop to get Katie's attention, and she probably saw this as a rare opportunity to buy back into the stock, and you know, when you can get that kind of discount on a company of that quality, then yeah, it's probably a good time to buy. And yes, I'll tell you right away, friends, that I actually support this purchase.

07. It is the largest chip manufacturer in the world. They provide about 70% of the total global supply. And you know, when another AI giant like Nvidia, Apple, or AMD, who are always in the news thanks to such hype, develops a new chip, they send these projects straight to TSM, which gets a pretty high margin for every chip they make.

08. And because we're right now, you know, in the epicenter of the AI โ€‹โ€‹boom, everyone's trying to get as many chips as possible to build all these huge data centers around the world. In fact, it is predicted that spending on AI infrastructure alone could grow to around $3-4 trillion by 2030, and TSM, as you understand, will be a direct beneficiary of this.

09. Last year, for example, sales and profits grew by over 30% and 40% respectively, while analysts predict even greater growth in the coming years. And I don't doubt for a moment that it will be so. In fact, the company is seeing such high demand for its new , more energy-efficient 2- nanometer chips that management has even raised its annual revenue forecast to over 40% growth, which, you know, is pretty impressive for such a large company.

10. And now they are using all of these profits to expand their operations even further. By the way, one of the most optimistic things about TSM is how I think they are diversifying and expanding very well into the West, investing another $100 billion in expanding their Arizona plants, bringing their total investment there to over $265 billion.

11. As huge as these expenses may seem to you , it is actually one of the smartest moves they can make right now, as the biggest fear for this company has always been their geographical location in Taiwan, where any direct conflict with China could be a disaster for business. But moving some of the production to the States actually helps reduce some of that risk.

12. And the partnership with the West continues to expand. I mean, they even build the chips that go directly insideโ€”I think there was a figure that over 90 % of the US Air Force's precision weapons use TSMC chips. And they're even launching a new space chip division to power satellites. So, you know, they're actually a very important player in, I would say, the entire global chip economy.

13. And really, the only concern I can think of right now is simply that maybe the demand for their chips is too high. While this can hardly be considered a negative, when you already have such a large market share and are trying to manufacture chips fast enough to supply all these companies that need resources, you will see these customers start looking for other sources of supply.

14. And this is where competitors like Intel and Samsung can potentially take advantage of this opportunity to take away market share wherever possible. Samsung, for example, recently signed a new agreement with Tesla. And Apple may also be looking at Intel for its chips. Again, I think the market is more than big enough to support multiple players at once.

15. And for all their growth, TSMC's valuation is actually still very reasonable. They have a PEG ratio of less than 0.7 , which is also almost half the sector median. That's pretty cheap for a company of this caliber. So yes, I approve of this purchase. And I would actually buy them myself if I did n't already feel a little overwhelmed by AI and chip stocks, as I am right now.

16. There are already too many of them in my portfolio . But, you know, I actually used to own TSM, fun fact. This has been one of my greatest assets for years. Some of my old-timers may remember this. And even though I sold those stocks for a big profit, I honestly always regretted it and just wish I had held them for a lot longer, but maybe, you know, I'll get back into them in the near future.

17. We'll see. I like these stocks now. Okay, now let's move on to the second purchase. What we have here is a much smaller, very speculative stock that has actually been falling sharply since its IPO. This is Pony.ai, ticker Pony, p o n y, which Katie bought last week for over $600,000. And so, since its debut about a year ago, the shares have already lost more than 70% of their value from their peak.

18. For those who don't know, Pony is a Chinese company, but it was co-founded, it seems, in Silicon Valley, and now maintains a dual presence as a leader in autonomous driving technology, including for robo-taxis, robo-trucks, and other similar services. But the caveat is that they don't build their own cars.

19. Instead, they operate under what we consider a more lightweight model, focusing primarily on developing AI software and a robotaxi platform, which is then built in partnership with major automakers, such as Toyota. And although the shares have fallen sharply, their real business is growing at a fairly rapid pace.

20. Last quarter, for example, their sales grew by triple digits, and the robotaxi segment jumped almost 400% to $8.6 million , and I really feel like that's what all the hype around this stock is about, even though they're doing other things too. But their actual transportation fees have also increased by over 450%, so you can really see some of these destinations starting to take off.

21. Plus, they have a robot truck division that grew 31% to over $10 million, and a smart solutions segment that soared 246% to over $15 million, and they could also do something in logistics and other areas, so there 's some potential there too. And while the company plans to have a fleet of over 3,500 robo-taxis, they hope to deploy them in 20 different cities around the world by the end of this year.

22. And already in some major cities in China, the company reports that they have achieved what they call breakeven per unit of production. This essentially means that the fare they charge the customer finally covers the operating costs of the specific vehicle, which is a big milestone for such a robotaxi company, a startup of sorts.

23. So why are stocks falling so much if they are actually rising and there are some positive prospects? Well, I would say it all comes down to the costs and risks associated with such promotions, because even with high growth, Pony still loses a lot of money, often exceeding even its sales volume. Of course, this should change when their incomes start to grow rapidly in the coming years, as analysts predict.

24. But even then, analysts are still predicting negative cash flows for years to come. Overall, the analysts' forecasts are a bit mixed, I would say, because the current share price is well below even the lowest targets. Today's stock price is below the lowest targets. And on average, analysts are also predicting triple-digit returns over the next 12 months.

25. So that's actually quite optimistic. I do n't know what to think about this myself . This is a company that clearly has to spend a lot of money on research and development, and their main market is China, which, in my opinion, carries a lot of geopolitical risks, and this market is not so easy to monitor.

26. So for me it's too speculative at the moment . I understand why Katie wants to take a risk, but in our current environment, with the global economy so shaky, I try to invest in much safer companies as much as possible. And speculative shares of a Chinese robotaxi startup are not the same at all, right?

27. This is unlikely to be one of the safest options. So, even though in the long run this could be great, and I wish all the shareholders of this company success, but I already have Google, Amazon, Nvidia, GM, Tesla, and even Baidu from China. So, all of this is quite enough for me to be present in the autonomous driving market.

28. So for me personally, it's a pass. OK. But now let's move on to the last promotion on the list. And the third purchase was a fairly large investment in energy for AI, namely X-energy, ticker XE, whose shares Katie purchased last week for over $5 million. Looking at the chart, we can see how difficult this year has been for X-energy, which has lost more than half of its value.

29. But despite the poor performance of the graphs, I believe that X-energy has a good future in nuclear energy as a developer of advanced small modular reactors ( SMRs), which, in particular, operate on its own proprietary fuel called TRISO-X. They use ceramic-coated particles that can withstand much higher temperatures without melting, making them generally a much safer alternative to other types of nuclear fuel.

30. The main reason why everyone is talking so much about X-energy right now is that it is backed not only by Amazon , who apparently owns about 20% of the company, which is the best support an energy provider can hope for , since Amazon is literally the largest cloud and data center provider in the world.

31. So having them on your side is a huge advantage. In addition, the Department of Energy predicts that by 2050 we will need about 400 gigawatts of new nuclear capacity, just to meet the blazing demand from data centers. So, you have Amazon support. You see this explosive growth of data centers. Yes, this will be a strong argument in their favor.

32. And to top it all off , the White House has selected X-energy to work directly with other tech giants like Microsoft and Nvidia on a new $200 million federal program to accelerate the deployment of nuclear reactors for AI data centers. In this program, the government will also help companies cut through bureaucracy so they can design, license, and build all of these new reactors faster and cheaper.

33. However, there is a reason why the stock has fallen so much, and that is , I would say, simply the reality that X-energy still does not have a single approved reactor operating today. In fact, they don't even expect their first reactors to be ready until at least 2030, which is a tough pill to swallow when you're still losing so much money in the end.

34. But do I approve of this purchase? Well, for Katie Wood, of course, why not? It's a speculative play, but I think I've seen her buy much riskier stocks than this one. And support from, again, the largest cloud provider in the world is already a great sign for XE's future, which is probably why analysts are so bullish on the stock at these levels right now, predicting triple-digit returns over the next 12 months.

35. But for me personally, it's still a pass for the same reasons as in other cases. I already have almost all of my nuclear bets in my portfolio: other stocks like NextEra and DUK are safer options, and for a more speculative, high-growth play in SMR nuclear, I have Oklo. So I don't need X-energy in my portfolio right now, but who knows, if they continue to fall like this, I might buy some too, because I think they look pretty attractive.

36. And of course, I believe that nuclear power is truly becoming the future of energy, at least as far as I can tell. Let me know if you think otherwise. So guys, these are three falling stocks that Katie Wood is "buying the bottom" on. Write in the comments what you think about it and whether you agree with my opinion.

37. I'd love to hear your thoughts, and for now, I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by, friends, have a great week or weekend, and I'll see you in the next video. I have even more videos for you . Well, take care of yourself, friends. See you later.
