natural language sites for searching and selecting products. And all this happened at a time when the housing market is barely breathing. Nevertheless, no one cares. In the end, we bought, and our stock fell by 90. Oh well. 39 cents. This is ridiculous. What if everything is fine at Target tomorrow , huh?
I mean, they're in bad shape. What if they raise the forecasts? So , how does their growth justify this leap? Well, I don't think you can pin Home Depot, or Target, for that matter. What if Walmart has good results at the end of the week? I see chaos in the data center today. Perhaps somewhat deserved.
If Apple presents solid numbers, it should be considered a slowdown compared to previous growth rates. Higher rates could force tech titans to be a little more cautious about spending. But I'm not going to turn my back on this group. Consider me buying there. All I can say is: ultimately , we are a service economy.
If the service sector is doing well, don't be too pessimistic. 2/3 of our economy may be doing better. Yes, we want the housing market to recover. When you buy a house, the chances of benefiting from repairs and renovations increase. Can you imagine if the housing situation actually improved? Did you know that Toll Brothers reported that if they closed the deals, they would give us some pretty good numbers: higher revenue, higher home sales, better margins, despite rising interest rates?
Do you see the pattern I'm seeing? I'm saying it's not all that bad. That's not so bad. And that the situation can improve. Not all margins, not all will be destroyed. And that short position on Nasdaq seems crazy , considering that a lot of things in this environment aren't that bad at all. Here is the main conclusion.
I know "not that bad" isn't a call to action, but you definitely get better prices than in a situation where , if the overall background is good, hey, maybe that's how you should think about it. It's an opportunity, and the costs seem reasonable, even if it's probably not rock bottom. I criticize the market with only mild praise.
But it's still praise. Let's move on to Chris in California. Chris. Boo-ya, Kramer. This is from Lake Arrowhead, California. Glad to see you on the show, we'll get back to you right away. Okay, agreed. What's new ? I've already made back my initial investment from this promotion, so I'm playing with casino money, but tell me, Jim, what should I do?
Should you hold, sell or buy more Snowflake? Don't sell those Snowflake shares, man. This is such a hot stock that it will obviously show a surprise in growth, so I even doubt it will be a surprise when they report it. But I think you should definitely keep them. Congratulations. You see, this guy, Chris, he made real money.
We can sit here and fool around with S&P, S&P, S&P, just talk about S& P, S&P, S&P. But you know what? If you do that, then why be on TV? John from Florida, John. Boo-ya, Jim. Boo-ya, John. What is happening? You know, I'm a little disappointed. My stock has lower lows, lower highs, no catalyst . I don't know whether to buy more or get out of it.
What should we do with our Broadcom? Oh, come on, that's enough. Well, well, let's calm down for a second. This is Hock Tan. This is one of the best indicators of all time. We can't be so shortsighted as to sell good things. I discuss this with Jeff Marks every day. I have a problem, I have a problem.
And he says, " Jim, she's not moving." So am I, but it is growing. It grows in the long term. The graph, if I did this and we could see the graph, which we can't , it would show you a graph going up, and this graph—AVGO, the old Avago , which is now Broadcom. I want to answer this call. I want to go straight to Alaska.
Let's move on to John in Alaska. John. Hi, Jim, how are you? Not bad, John. Thank you for asking. And you? I'm fine. I'm fine. I wanted to talk to you about the promotion. It's called Arista Networks. Ticker ANET. I hear they're big in the AI sector for cloud networking services. But I know they are trading at a pretty high valuation, but their finances have been looking good recently.
I just wanted to know your opinion about this promotion. Okay, this is Jayshree Ullal, who is one of my idols. She was with me last week. I can't believe how well they work. I saw the stock drop five points. I said to myself, "If this thing goes down to 20, you know what I'm supposed to do? I'm supposed to call the club and say, She's definitely ahead.
Yeah, because Jayshree Ullal, Jayshree, I should probably just say Jayshree, Jayshree Ullal—one of the best CTOs in America. And if the stock goes down, just buy it. At these prices, even a cautious optimism seems like a good opportunity to me. I'm not going to lose it. I have money today. Why is Cadence Design Systems losing favor on Wall Street?
I'm going to talk to the CEO and find out what he thinks about it. This is the opportunity for AI for the company, and it's very attractive. I love turnaround stories, and we're seeing one of those in food stocks . Don't miss my in-depth analysis of Kraft Heinz and the Cheez Whiz situation, which is very unfortunate.
It was a product that shouldn't have been lost. And what about Saturday? If you look at Nvidia today, compared to the tech giants , makes the valuation argument very interesting. Nvidia trades at a multiple of 14-15 to earnings, while Apple is closer to 35. Now add in the difference in growth rates.
the problem isn’t a lack of demand. Quite . So you have a company that’s growing at an extraordinary rate, deeply integrated into the AI ecosystem, and still trading at a val low. For some analysts, that makes Nvidia a much more sensible investment tha’s not getting enough attention. How long will the AI infrastructure actually be useful ?
For months, investors have worried that Nvidia’s GPUs will become obsolete very quickly. New architectures, companies buy them, and the previous generation depreciates. And in a few years, the old hardware supposedly becomes worthless. But that assumption may be oversimplified. One cloud infrastructure operator recently gave a key example with Nvidia A100 GPUs.
These GPUs were introduced around 2020, and some of that infrastructure is already at’s a very different depreciation curve. The reason is simple. Not every AI workload requires the latest GPUs. The latest hardware may be ideal for training the most complex basic models, but older accelerators can be useful for physical AI, batch computing, enterprise inference, and research.
So when new generations come along, the old hardware doesn’t necessarily disappear. It can simply be repurposed for other tasks. And that means the useful life of AI infrastructure can be much longer than some investors initially expected. And if a GPU purchased a few years ago can continue to generate revenue for a few more years, In the past few .
Now let’s look at Nvidia’s latest infrastructure implementation. The first Aurora systems have already started shipping to customers. Some of the first deployments have included NVL 72 configurations. But getting GPUs is only part of the process. To run AI clusters, you need GPUs , robust networking hardware, data center capacity, power, and software.
All of these things have to work together. You can’t just provide 95% of the infrastructure and call it done. The entire system has to work. And that’s where cloud infrastructure providers come in. They turn individual pieces of hardware into useful computing power for AI companies and enterprises. Demand is now far outstripping supply . And some providers say they can get just about any GPU they can get.
