01. it was what was the most shocking thing that he said in that video to you I got fish welcome back to another reef Kevin reaction and today's meet Kevin a reaction we are reacting to the wolf of Wall Street interviewing meet Kevin hey that's me let's get right into it it's gonna be very interesting including a Jordan of Belfort response that hey you know what I should sue Grant Cardone so we'll go through we'll find the best parts we'll react to them here and give you a little bit more detail let's get right into it oh and remember the 22% off code does expire September 30th link down below for those in-person events and the online at trainings I teach body language I teach tonality and when I teach it I basically do what you did I I essentially slow it down and deconstruct but to actually see someone do it to me right and it was funny one the one comment you made which was disturbing I think the wolf made a mistake yeah dude my night when I actually got a lot I I was dying to jump across the table and choke the guys like I was like it's so funny because you're actually right that I shouldn't no I sure the finally got a little nasty with the guy cuz maybe after a while I mean it was almost like I'm like what the hell is wrong with this guy I'm gonna start off in this particular part of the podcast what's so funny about this is I broke down Jordan Belfort personality during that sales interview as well as grant cardones to sort of highlight and help people learn how to negotiate and sell better and there's a part where I said I don't know I think Jordan went a little aggressive here I think he made a mistake but at this point o Jordan Belfort actually makes a mistake in my opinion by reaching his hand out and saying with all due respect buddy by the way both of those phrases relatively condescending buddy highly condescending and with all due respect with the handout it's an unnecessary preface to be condescending basically okay selling selling a twenty thousand dollar product right but listen you know in order to respect buddy I've trained millions of sales me million and a half and what's so funny is Grant Cardone immediately responds with this counter-attack millions sales email just a quick note I hate watching myself so this is hard how about like when you were 16 and 17 what do you think about that you know I I always thought to myself when I was 16 or 17 I was also a police Explorer at the time so I spent three years volunteering for the police department and going on ride-alongs and so I saw really these not only our own financial problems but I saw the worst of society what was always fascinating to me about being 16 and being a police Explorer spending over 1500 hours on the road with law enforcement not only does it kind of JDA and this negative approach which I go into detail here in the podcast but it does also somewhat inspire you to realize wow you know I don't want to be in that situation but being an explorer always kind of gave me that reality check that oh my gosh I gotta try to do the best I can so maybe I can help other people do better now on the note of the dead end here Jordan is about to ask hey well it wasn't there some point where you reach this sort of critical mass where you realize like hey this just isn't working like what what can I do differently now and what's fascinating is not exactly what came out of the conversation but Jordan while he was asking the question realized that I didn't have an answer for that based on my body language which will look here and it's great because I as he's asking the question and signaling to him I don't got that answer and he actually sets me up for success coming out of that watch it happen it is brilliant and I call him out on it because I realized what he did in the moment so I call it out watch watch it unfold it's priceless so you so you started to succeed as a real estate agent I was there a moment where like something really clicked inside of you that where you know you sort of became the notice I mean like my face should tell you right there like I'm looking for the answer and I'm like you know I don't think it was one moment guy you are today you look back at any define let's say a defined period say wow you know a couple of things happened and I said wow I got it figured out now this is what I got to do and it's more this it gets to a certain point where you can say okay I got a crack now it's more of the same did you ever get there are you still figuring it out I'm figuring it out watch that as I lean in towards the mic kind of ready to say he knows what I'm going to say before I'm going to say this is what makes him so brilliant he knows what I'm going to say by the nature that I lean into that mic it kind of leaning forward like this where previously I'd always sort of been holding the mic and kind of bringing the mic towards me here I'm like alright look at that are you still figuring it out figuring it out you knew that you saw it coming you read my body language that it that oh my gosh I was not making it easy for my question really is those I want to get closed on the story but maybe this guy's a character a nice guy listen my question is this yes of course we're all always growing and learning I think if you're not reinventing yourself you're almost kind of put setting yourself to be put out of business in some way right aknadin you'll fail right but I think most successful people they had they hit a certain point of like I guess what you could call it be critical mass where you say you know what I got a system that's kind of working now and I can just kind of leverage that and grow it and add a zero on Ted then the I mean you must have reached because you're a successful guy was there a certain point you feel like you know what I kind of got some system going here of how I go about finding customers and closing them and did you reach that point or no you never wasn't elected I feel like you go through that many different times in life it's kind of like you know you net-net you're hoping to progress you kind of keep going up but you're still having all these ups and downs what's interesting about listening back to this particular part is Jordan I think was specifically referring to in sales when you reach a certain point where you go hey I know how to close listings I know how to get more clients I can you know 10x this I can 5x this I can to exit whatever I want to do I can do it but you know like what's next in life and I kind of took a look a little bit more of a broad response to that and said that in life it doesn't matter what you're doing you're constantly gonna feel at some point you get to this low where you're like ah alright I'm just like I'm either over this or I'm not feeling this anymore what am I gonna do next and I have this strong belief that all of us should always be asking ourselves what's next in life you have the straight line sale system which you know I know we'll talk about later right and you talk about going from 0 to 10 continually progressing well what's interesting to me is I did a twist on this and on that note in the podcast I break out a piece of paper the notebook there and I say hey you know what there's the straight line of sales which is what Jordan teaches in his book but I believe there's also a straight line of life which is you constantly want to be thinking to yourself how am I going to progress and you want to progress as much as possible along this line and I make the suggestion that hey you know what if you're over here at your main job you're better off thinking hey how am I gonna get to the next better job or how am I gonna get more our so how am I gonna get a promotion rather than being over here drivin uber or doing something else that isn't actually helping you progress in life it said you're kind of as Jordan says in his book out here at Pluto and watch Jordans response because it's actually very very good if you take on these sort of side jobs that allow you to just get by it eliminates the pain of having to change this right here is a huge a part of the podcast in my opinion the theory that let's say you're working at Red Robin making nine hundred fifty dollars a month like I was talking about I'm here and I want to save up for a vacation or I just want a little bit more money so I could go out and have some dinners or whatever fine well then I'll just go uber around and Jordan says hey that eliminates that sort of pain of you not being able to do that uber now enables me to be able to go out for food or afford whatever I might want while staying at Red Robin but the problem with this this is actually worse like you're almost better off being faced with with going backwards and the pain of bankruptcy because what does that actually do it actually motivates you to change your life and figure out what do I need to do now to get to the next level that is a really good part of this interview so that's why I always said to the guys at strand land these young kids I said if you're right now looking at the Help Wanted section you have a side job a second source I said you you have to cut off your options you have to make the consequences of failure so dire so unthinkable that you'll never allow that eventually to occur the secrets of the straight line and for you and for what you teach people financially is the straight line is about yep that's all true but now watch the 27 year old Kevin is a lot wiser than the 18 year old Kevin and this part Jordan makes another excellent point he says hey look if this is the straight line of life let's say rather than just of unlocking the sales code and you know you want to be here you can then reverse engineer that and say well what do I need what are going to be the steps along the way to get there and that obviously Red Robin isn't going to get me there so whom can I emulate or which businesses can I emulate that are going to help me get there it's a really good point because there are two ways to go you either emulate the businesses or you try to figure it out yourself but unfortunately when you figure it out yourself what happens well what happens is what I described earlier you kind of go through life in this kind of path where yeah over time you're going up but you're still going through all these ups and downs or if you follow this straight line maybe you don't have to go through this emotional rollercoaster it's kind of like me teaching you how to buy wedge deals that took me the first five years of my career to master and then I was able to have it mastered for five years and now it's kind of boring because it's so freakin easy to make money doing wedge deals and what at the top real estate agent in Ventura County do and how can I emulate that you know and I that's exactly that's exactly my point as washes him that's right we'll leave a message hope meet Biff he's a lousy real estate agent slash level 90 cold elf warrior incoming call transfer hello this is kind of meet Kevin he's an awesome real estate agent but it's time to buy or sell your home go Kevin knock there meet Kevin calm this TV commercial by the way was an attempt for me to try to figure out okay how am I going to get to sort of that next arrow in my real estate business so even though I was already a real estate agent I'm thinking myself well how can I get to the next level and sort of increase my sales even more unfortunately again I didn't follow other models I just thought well let's just do something different that nobody else is doing other real estate agents weren't running TV commercials so then you have to unfortunately spend money and you find out the hard way that wow people see the TV commercial online they're like cool awesome but it's not until I actually sit down with people and I'm like hey have you seen my TV commercial and I show on my iPad and they're like whoa wow that's super cool and you know and then like the conversion rate where like through the roof so it was fascinating because if had somebody told me if you do a TV commercial or you do a really high quality video like that don't bother airing it on TV just show it to people in person and and you'll get away higher ROI it's like oh that would have been nice to know because airing it was also really expensive on a monthly basis any image rather than yourself is all the messages designed to cut off someone's options to send you're better off just sending me your money let me invest for you is that what it's all about 100% so this is where we start talking about uncle-ji and this is where I agree with Jordan that yeah pretty much all of grants content circles around the idea of hey you know what you don't need to invest yourself you don't need to do anything else invest with Cardone capital yet the reality is most people can go out and buy their own deals they don't need me to do this and they can make way more money than they could ever stand to make with a Cardone capital the end goal of life is having a bunch of rental properties where all of a sudden your house is paid for and you've got two three four rental properties you don't have to have 50 rental properties you have two or three four rental properties all paid for you have your house paid for you're living high on the hog in the best of cases which I don't think this is just so you know where you were doing everything exactly right this lawyers out there just make that living taking these unaccredited investors and doing class actions Jordan makes this point here about if unaccredited investors invest in Grant Cardone Zweig a fund where people can put in a minimum of five thousand dollars you're you're really exposing yourself to this possible class action lawsuit risk to where if real estate prices fall if a recession happens or whatever and now people have given all their money thinking they're going to 10x their wealth and now lawyers start going through Grant cardones videos and lawyers start realizing oh wow here's grant cardone saying on his whiteboard we're gonna get you a 15% internal rate of return and then all of a sudden it's a negative 15 percent you know people are gonna be pissed and when it goes down all the little people the moms and dads who gave them that last five thousand dollars are gonna get warmer class and they get and once they do they're gonna find out he's taking the private jet fees out of their this and just because you put it in the prospectus on page 222 buried in it's not gonna help you much when you have a 12 a jury of their peers not grants peers or their peers so this is where the lawsuit part comes up where Jordans like you got to sue this guy and so basically I'm in the office I've got and I don't know it looks crazy that was the point it was supposed to look crazy but I've got this micro megaphone set to low volume and I'm in the office dressed as an elf with poinsettias I was gone hey everybody thanks so much wanted to 10x your Christmas the flowers are out sup boom tackled by the security guy throw my cat from a camera goes fly him Jarrod comes grabs the camera reset reformats my sd card I'm like oh you know flying and it's and is getting tackled from behind did you sue them I could you could have sued yeah I actually I went to the doctor I should have sued them guys probably so good I went to the doctor afterwards and they'd I don't know how they do with like an x-ray or something on my neck but there's like some kind of some stupid spasm or something I have now from that quick like whip back and I still feel it like slightly I feel it now I figure I may as well just touch on this because there's been a lot of comments of people going Kevin you need to sue the guy obviously you know if somebody Minh tactually a threat to anybody and you're just standing there and all of a sudden you get tackled like the police report shows which they're a bunch of documents related to all this I don't know if anybody cares to see this stuff if you're interested let me know in the comments that I could always share like grant's deposition and some of these other crazy lies that were fabricated by Carter on Capitol which is what's hilarious is they're all public record I could share those if somebody was interested let me know in the comments but anyway going to this sort of hey you should sue Grant Cardone thing it is something that could be done the fact that I went through a door that was unlocked I ran to a back room and said hey folks we have flowers for you but I'm standing still doesn't merit getting tackled I realize it might be interruptive and I said in the podcast like hey yeah like shouldn't have done it is a mistake right don't go deliver flowers as a prank to your YouTube rival he could have just walked up and said get out or you're not allowed in here and you're not allowed back it could have been that easy at this point in the podcast we get into talking about how Grant Cardone the sued me for stalking him even though stocking requires two actual instances of stalking which this is another thing if you're interested I can put together the video but Grant Cardone says Kevin stalked me had driven meanwhile at two different instances he either shook my hand or you know said hey Kevin you know what go be great you know you do you or whatever and there's nothing negative at all these things are on video you'd share those things and at the flower-delivery grant wasn't even there first thing I would do is I'm gonna file a [ __ ] lawsuit for them attacking me and hurting me and you still um paying you said he's got a good point and my reaction here is sincere like I know you know I hate like you know it's kind of like you hear people like oh somebody spilled coffee on themselves at McDonald's and then they sue McDonald's because it was too hot like that person doesn't even though they might be right that coffee was too hot sometimes it just feels like you know maybe there's some negativity towards that person because it's like hey you know you're suing because you made a mistake and I feel like I did you know kind of interrupt their office day it's like did I deserve to get tackled no but like I like I don't know part of me is like I just I don't want to be perceived as that guy that's like you know I did a prank and and you know now I'm gonna sue them right I don't know you know Jordan here says whatever they're playing you know hardball or they're doing things in a mean way you should do that as well I don't know maybe I should maybe that's just me though they're playing legal games with you you need to play legal games back they gonna sue you then you sue them that's a good point why'd you count to sue them now we circle back to that initial podcast between grant and wolf and my analysis of it pour in different ways how can you okay grant my favorite part and this was the most damning to me was really when do you and you probably circle back to this seven times during the puss when do you stop trying to sell something to somebody that has no freaking interest and the responses well no interest is a level of interest and you know but you're selling fish grant you say you're selling fish you don't have an insurance policy in your pocket and quite frankly I mean you know what if you had an interesting argument here where he said oh you don't want fish no problem hey I got in this sleep hey I got this for you and there was an argument to be had there I would have been interested in seeing it me I think this is a very valid challenge to what Grant Cardone said if Grant Cardone came out and said hey you know what you're not interested in fish no problem hey wondering later on today I'm gonna be coming by with insurance products do you have any insurance needs do you have any handyman repairs do you need around the house if you sell in something else and he showed us how to bridge how to go from no interest in this could be a level of interest in something else because now they know me if I'm at their door that would have been fascinating but that bridge never happened now what Jordan says here is very interesting when two people have a conversation the conversation usually flows in a relatively straight line you kind of get tangents and stuff but generally you flow in the same line except one of my major critiques of the Cardone Belfort podcast was that Cardone kept going forward than circle forward than circle forward then circle like it would constantly just go back and back and back and it's like ah there's no progression and I think that's what made it so frustrating for people but what's fascinating here is to actually see Jordan vocalizing watch this I was having trouble having following a logical transport with him because he couldn't follow a logical train I thought he was on drugs I really did because he was he was rambling and he was saying things that weren't I got nonsensical after a while right so then he says first he was no tricks there's no tricks there's no tricks like what do you trad ajeeb a and then he goes I charge one person a hundred dollars and I charge someone else eighty thousand for the same product heels that's the trick people should learn so I'm like I'm like I'm like wait a second so I stopped him because it was such a bracelet sets not only is it unethical but it's probably illegal modulated certain if it's a regulated situation okay but that being said I tried to give me that Michael you don't mean that I was like yeah they're different right I'm trying to save the guy for himself yeah yeah no Jordan didn't try to set Cardone up for failure in the podcast in fact if you watch Jordans podcasts he's always very accommodating to whoever the guest is and that is a key definition in sales you sort of accommodate or you adapt to who the other person is that you're with now here in this part I try to understand why did Cardone act of the way he did and this is the best explanation that I could have given for it like you said he walked in on his phone doing his syndication deal or whatever I wonder if he came in just so jazz on his own world and how he flew here on his jet and how great everything in his life is - you know what I'm here Jordan you're here whatever you say I I don't believe it I feel like there was really this agenda to try to discredit you that there was this this you know what I'm just anything you say I'm gonna say the opposite right you don't get falling like that being an [ __ ] he came in here to be an [ __ ] he treated my staff like [ __ ] he was rude to people on camera everything's Rudi walked in here we just saw that right there is a perfect almost a master a class a sales line you make it a point to be overly respectful when I show up to people's houses and I'm in a full suit they're in their regular clothing or whatever I do whatever I can to show don't think that just because I'm coming in with a suit that I'm gonna be some pompous you know meaning to you just like with Cardone you can't have a reputation like you do or wealth that you say you have and still be nice so what's sort of the conclusion what's wrong with grant and what's changing what's up with his life well I think this right here is of a perfect example of that or answer to it but unfortunately now at the same time as we're having these economic uncertainties and he's also getting significantly more criticism so now combine economic uncertainties with significant criticism you know for me and others over the last year and a half to an explosive amount of criticism after your interview with him and and your guidance on sales and and comparison to look here's how we do it in straight line let's compare that to two grants and and how different is I I do strongly believe that has dramatically all of these things economics the the tax and things have affected his business now he has to either reinvent himself either adapt which honestly adapting adapting would be the smartest thing if he came out I've messed up let's clear the air here let's talk about small deals let's show people how they can do straight line or whatever so then we touch on this idea that well hey you know what maybe Grant Cardone is just you know getting a lot more attention than he's used to getting in the past and unfortunately now some of these insecurities are coming out and that's Belfort subversion of it is hey you know what you know now we're starting to see Grant I think it might be a combination of that but we might also be seeing the fact that Grant Cardone has ridden this wave of awesome real estate appreciation for last eight years whereas Jordan says you could basically throw a dart blindly and make money in real estate over the last eight years and you know all of a sudden the economy starting to weaken through Grant Cardone is getting a lot more criticism the cracks are starting to show and you know his mentality or his business endeavors that gosh you know what that's got to be tough for grant it's kind of like you know things were going up and now you're kind of starting to feel this sort of down the hill miss a little bit but then we transition over to my real estate career where I say and explain with the numbers and you should watch the full podcast yourself but we're explaining numbers wise hey you know what I have to sell 50 to 60 houses to make as much money as I do simply putting videos on YouTube which is incredible you're a very you're very charismatic guy usually you're a young guy if you're only making that much money seventy five bucks on the house yeah I think you should be selling higher price Tom's I think you should be doling into an area you're young enough right now I wouldn't stop what you were doing no no yeah but I would actually spend I would simultaneously build a separate division in your company where you're actually targeting much bigger homes and getting paid commissions and then you'll see that over a period of two or three years you'll end up transitioning into that and probably delegate at the low price um so you train it's true now the podcast ends shortly after this but I want to explain why to me it's not so jazzy right now the biggest reason is number one family I want to spend as much time as possible as I can with my children because you know what a bigger number in the bank account at some point it doesn't make a difference but I don't want you to think that I'm not a big fan of 10-x saying the net worth that we have and that's where I'd rather spend time where it's most profitable and guess where anybody's time no matter where you are on this line is most profitable buying below market real estate most successful real estate agents know it's not the sales commission it's your investments that make you the most money in the long run and in my opinion every single person should endeavor to have as much real estate as possible and if they can figure out how to buy those below market value by following either the principles I put out on YouTube or how I teach you how to do this in the real estate investing course how I teach you how to sell in the real estate agent course to me that's going to transform your life much more than starting to try to expand with multiple different employees and teams here and teams here those things can be very risky especially in uncertain economic times and so folks there you have it a huge huge thank you to Jordan Belfort of that podcast was amazing obviously I went into it very nervous it's still kind of nervous even watching it back and hey you know what I am all I could say is I'm super grateful for you watching this the opportunity to have been on the podcast and well until next time thanks again and follow me on Instagram what do you think is wrong with him like what is this something is the other screw loose I wonder
