01. Time to talk big tech. Thank goodness Dan Ies is here. What a week. All right. I've seen him a million times talking about everything, but now you've had time to digest it all. Dan Ies, managing director, equity research, Wed Bush Securities. Thank you for being with us. So, you're saying this is the next revolution, the fourth revolution since 1995.

02. Tech again. Tell me why this is the blowup moment. I mean last night those are that was pop the champagne type of earnings from tech. So any questions about monetization? That was a pound the table moment in my opinion because it's showing that this phase of this AI revolution the monetization it's now hitting.

03. It's starting of course with Godfather of AI Jens and Nvidia what we see in Redmond with Nadella but now look at Alphabet I believe Amazon and others. This is just the start of a trillion dollar title wave hitting tech. It's time to discuss big tech. Dan Ies is here. Thank goodness. What a week. Okay, I've seen and discuss everything a million times, but you've had time to process it all.

04. Thank you for joining us. Dan Ies, managing director, equity research, Wed Bush Securities. You're claiming that this is the fourth revolution since 1995 and the next one once more. Tech, explain to me why this is a pivotal moment. I mean, those earnings from tech last night were like champagne. Therefore, if you have any questions about monetization, I think that was a pound- the table moment because it indicates that the monetization phase of the AI revolution is now hitting.

05. Naturally, Jensen, the godfather of AI, and Nvidia are at the forefront. Look at Alphabet, Amazon, and others. That's what we see in Redmond with Nadella. this is only the beginning of a trillion dollar title wave that will affect technology. Regarding what Ross is discussing, I disagree, stating that this is unimportant.

06. I mean, I think Tesla has a good chance of becoming one of the largest AI companies in the years to come. And see, Elon stated that he won't build it until he has a quarter. That's the issue. Yes. But once more, if you look at this conference call and how he presented the vision, Ross and of course all the criticism coming in, I believe he demonstrated all five of the things he was supposed to.

07. I genuinely believe that investors, some of whom I spoke with during this conference call, have a very different perspective of Tesla than the train wreck we've been discussing over the past few months. Once more, it all stems from the fact that an adult was present at last. You and I have been working with Martin for a long time, but you're ignoring the fact that he resigned at the end of the call.

08. He serves as the glue for management, shareholders, and investors. So, it worries me that he keeps losing season top executives like eyes during this crucial transition. The vision he outlined is one that we have invested in and hope will come to pass despite what you know. I do agree. It seems like there is this talk in vision and then there is this reality that we are seeing beneath it which simply doesn't look anything like the talk.

09. Yes. And in terms of Tesla moving forward, I believe it's truly approved me. However, if you look at how they've laid it out with the vehicle, the sub-doll 30k being accelerated into next year and the FSD in terms of laying out the AI vision, I think that right now you're just terrible news baked in for what I think could be a company worth a trillion, a trillion and a half or two trillion when you look out over the next four, five, or 6 years.

10. Tesla's stock has been on an insane roller coaster for the past month. The company's stock took several hits as a result of concerns about the demand for its vehicles and whether or not it would introduce a new reasonably priced model. The stock then rose after Elon Musk, the CEO of the company, declared on X that the long-awaited Robot Taxi model will be unveiled in August.

11. However, analysts continue to downgrade Tesla stock because Wall Street wasn't prepared to fully commit to robot haxis. Prior to the company's Q1 earnings call when Elon stated that Tesla intends to release not one but several affordable models, a statement that pleased Wall Street, the price continue to fluctuate.

12. In the last 5 days, the stock has increased by more than 19% due to the news about affordable cars. Analysts like Dan Ies have been praising Tesla and maintaining their bullish stance. However, there's more to the story than just cheap cars. So, we'll look at why Dan Ives thinks Tesla is still a good investment and why it makes sense to be optimistic about the company.

13. However, before we do that, you can follow our Twitter account to stay uptodate on the most recent news from the stock market and Tesla. 14. Let's discuss a name you've had your eye on for a while. Tesla, you lowered your price target. I still enjoy it. Give me more details. Why? Where does the 275 come from? Musk was the adult in the room when this moment of truth arrived. In other words, he accelerated the sub-doll 30k car through 2025.

15. This autonomous AI robotics is the growth story on the opposite side. Driving volume will be the key and I think Tesla has reached its lowest point in the near future. The costs, the cogs, continued decline as they now see what I think is a beginning acceleration of demand over the coming quarters. You're going to experience these fork in the road category 5 storms because of their ability to produce these cars at a lower cost.

16. Look, I believe Tesla and I have discussed this for many years. I think Mus will get through this. And I think this is just another time they will get through. And that in my opinion was a really good place to start after that conference call. Whether it's one or two models, he must purchase those less expensive cars.

17. He compared putting out a cheap card to riding a bike, saying he could do it with his eyes closed. But how why hadn't he done it earlier if it was so simple? Look, they intended to build a model 2, a next generation car that is obviously far more complicated. The writing is on the wall, but this is basically a model 2.5.

18. They know what has to be done. Musk just needs to provide the blueprint. On August 8th, I believe we'll get more information about robot access. Things will be clarified at the shareholder meeting as they relocate to Texas and discuss the compensation package. Look, there will always be a lot of talk about the story, but I think Tesla has started to turn around.

19. Elon Musk made a very intriguing statement regarding the company's valuation during the Q1 earnings call. He claimed that because Tesla's far ahead of the competition in areas like full self-driving, analysts and investors should start valuing the company like a tech or AI company. This does not imply that Tesla is struggling as a vehicle manufacturer.

20. With a 20% global market share and roughly 50% of the US market, it actually holds a commanding position in the EV industry. However, a number of analysts such as Dan Ives of Wed Bush are beginning to see Tesla as the AI behemoth that truly is and comprehend Elon's point of view. Will Tesla eventually rank among the biggest AI firms in the world?

21. Let's investigate. Greetings and welcome back to everyone. We will learn more about robot hacks and related topics on August 8th. Before that day, what do you do with a stock? Do you sell it or buy it? Remember the Cyber Truck when the window broke or something? Well, that was exciting. Although there have been a few recalls, he has released more Cyber Trucks than anticipated.

22. What about August 8th? Then how would you handle the stock before the day of August 8th? I believe this is where you purchase Tesla stock. I mean, they outlined the plan for me. They took the necessary action. They tore street numbers from the band-aid. I mean, there were bearish downgrades that were extremely amplified.

23. Look, the New York City Uber driver is not optimistic about Tesla. The point is that we kind of pound the table here as a setup into what I consider to be year end because I adore that setup. I am aware that you mentioned he arrived this time. Am I correct? because he didn't actually give a vision the last time.

24. People were very frustrated because he didn't give much. There were concerns that he might be preoccupied. Is it sufficient, you know, if he shows up on a conference call and says, "Here's what we're going to do. Is he less distracted in your opinion? Was he preoccupied?" Everyone has a Tesla. After all, they adore Tesla.

25. I just want to know what you think. Look, it's a great beginning and Musk had to lay out the plan as he has done for years. I'm not saying there won't be more distractions in the future, but what they're attempting is complicated. There is more competition. They clearly made some mistakes in China, but I think they know what they have to do to reach the 2 1/2 to 3 million units.

26. The plane required a pilot. Musk was ultimately the plane's pilot, and you didn't want a head striker. Compared to beginning of this week, investors now feel far more at ease owning the name. For the first time since 2020, quarterly revenue fell by 8.5% yearover-year in Tesla's 2024 Q1 earnings, falling $950 million short projections.

27. Operating income was $1.17 billion, and operating margin was 5.5%, down from 8.2% in the previous quarter. Elon's optimistic remarks about upcoming lowcost cars and Araba taxi network caused the stock to sore despite Tesla's earnings falling short of forecasts. This has completely changed the company's standing on Wall Street.

28. For instance, Dan Iv stated that while he was optimistic about autonomy and robot access, he did not believe they would be sufficient to support Tesla in the near future because they require an additional five or 6 years to truly scale. For this reason, Ives thinks it's more crucial that Tesla has a car that's affordable.

29. Whether you agree with him or not, it appears that Elon and the entire Tesla team are making a decision to appeal to Wall Street and long-term investors by claiming that the company will solve autonomy and make cars at a lower cost. This might be one of the causes.
