today the citadel fund has over 43 billion dollars worth of assets under management you can tell he's been making market wins during the market slump we've seen passed in january going into february in january the s p 500 fell by 5.3 percent but the citadel fund gained 4.7 he's literally been beating the market indexes so the first stock he bought is datto holdings and its ticker is msp datto holding is a software company it serves it products to the managed service provider sector managed service providers or as they're known as msps are third-party operators who take over the time-consuming day-to-day details of back office work in short they're outsourced workers for other companies so datto creates the software packages msps need to give efficient service to their own customers these packages include cloud products for network management remote monitoring and professional services automation basic workplace functions like file bag protection and syncing are also included datto's customer base is composed mainly of small to mid-sized msp firms the current price for datto holding is 23.91 the analyst rating consensus is a strong buy and the analyst price target on msp is and forty 32.40 which is a thirty five point five one percent upside based on ten wall street analysts offering twelve month price targets for datto holding datto went public in october 2020 and since then it has seen consistent modest sequential gains in revenues for every reported quarter in its last quarterly report which was for q4 of 2021 released last week the company posted 164.25 million dollars in sales this was up 18 year-over-year non-gaap earnings at 14 cents per share were just above the forecast of 13 cents but it was down 12 from the 16 cents per share reported in the revenue annual recurring revenue arr a key metric for software subscription companies was reported at 658.4 million dollars five star analyst covering datto for northland securities nehal troxy notes three key points driving the company's success number one datto saves msp's time relative to other software vendors such as that comparing sku price is not the only input on an msp's decision matrix number two datto will not allow end customers to go around the msp which then gives the msp much better margin protection and three data security first mindset has played a key role in ensuring datto products have not been compromised providing peace of mind to msp partners and as a result he gives it a buy rating with a 42 dollar price target which is a 76.92 upside from where we're at the second
