what do you think about Robin Hood and other trading apps or fintech companies enabling all ages and experience to participate in the stock market I'm looking forward to reading the S1 on on the robin that's a big thing you filed with the SEC wouldn't you are going to be offering Securities and uh it's come a very significant part of the Casino aspect of the casino group that has joined into uh the stock market in the last year year and a half and uh I do want to see how concerned about how they handle the source of income when they they say they they don't charge the customer or anything I mean it uh you know uh it should be interesting to watch how they describe it I mean but but they they have attracted maybe set out to attract but they have attracted uh I think I read where 12 or 13 percent of their their Casino participants were dealing in what's the calls I looked up on apples you know the number of seven day calls and 14 day calls outstanding and I'm I'm sure a lot of that is coming through Robin and that's a bunch of people writing they're gambling on the price of Apple over the next seven days or 14.
there's nothing you know there's nothing illegal about it there's nothing immoral but uh uh I don't think he'd build a society around people doing it I mean if a group of a group of us landed on a desert island we knew we would never be rescued and I was one of the group and I said well I'll set up the exchange over here and I'll I'll trade trade our corn Futures and everything around it I think I I think the the degree to which a very rich Society I can reward people who now know how to take advantage is essentially of the gambling instincts of the not only American public worldwide public it uh yeah it's it's not the most admirable part of the of of the accomplishment but I think what America's accomplished is pretty admirable overall and I think actually yeah um American corporations have turned out to be a wonderful place for people the the two two uh put their money and save but they also make terrific gambling ships and if you cater to those gambling ships when people have money in their pocket for the first time and you tell them they can make 30 or 40 or 50 trades a day and you're not charging them any commission but you're selling your order flow or whatever it it I hope we don't have more of it I'll put it that way and I will be interested in reading the perspectives Charlie well that is really rare waving the red flag of the bull just out awful it's something like that with broad investment from civilized man and decent citizens it's it's deeply wrong we don't want to make our money selling things that are bad for people but we've got the stage doing it with the lottery you know I know but that's that bad too yeah and I understand once you very much that's one of the things that's wrong with it it's getting respectable to me to do these things the states are just as bad as Robin Hood well in a sense they're worse I mean they're really taxing I know it's probation I know I know I know yeah they're taxing hope not only that and they don't have taxes for Bear Charlie America replaced the mafia as the proprietor of the numbers game that's what happened yep they pushed the mafia aside and said that's our business not yours doesn't make me proud of my government when I when I was a kid my dad was in Congress they had a numbers runner in the house office building actually that's what but look what happened to Robin Hood performance Peak to its draw wasn't that pretty obvious that something like that was going to happen tell me again Robin Hood when they came out that went public and he got a little alert on everybody in all the short-term gambling and big commissions and hidden Kickbacks and so on so on it was disgusting yeah and you said so last year and they got mad at you and they sold a bunch of their stock and they've got the money and yeah but now they're it's unraveling god dude God is getting just but a lot of the Insiders are great got no but they've gotten a lot of money from it I mean they were big Sellers as I remember that maybe but there's there's been some justice well yeah I have to agree with that well it's a good idea to go around making enemies if people love it it's an another question which we we do is it wise is it wiser criticize people at all probably not but I can't help it yeah well and here's the smartest guy in that one he's 98 he hasn't figured it out yet so give up enjoy well for that we'll go to lunch and we'll try to come back wiser at one o'clock and thank you thank you thank you
