Hello. This is Sapon. First, let me share my experience with TECL. The appraised value is 71.77 million yen . Unrealized gains/losses are positive 61.86 million yen . Last week's valuation was 86.59 million yen , so it has decreased by approximately 15 million yen in the past week . As I mentioned in my previous video , I invested approximately 10 million yen using dollar-cost averaging over three years, from 2020 to 2023, and have held onto it since then without making any further purchases.
Dollar-cost averaging is a method of automatically buying a predetermined amount of money at predetermined times, without trying to time the market or making your own judgments . For me, TCL is not a main asset, but merely a dream. The main strategy is index investing. PC is a framework where I have set rules from the beginning to avoid worrying too much about weekly price fluctuations .
After a massive surge last week, the market plummeted this week, didn't it? However, this level of rigor is pretty standard practice when it comes to leveraged investing. At times like these, it's important to remain calm and not let your emotions get the better of you . This is the most important thing for me to keep holding on.
In this video, we will review the movements of three technology-related leveraged ETFs, including TEClTQ99, over the past week . The market had been on a pretty strong upward trend until last week, right? This week, all three stocks fell sharply. Let's break down what happened and how we should interpret this decline .
First, here 's an important premise. This video is not an investment solicitation . TCLTQ99Q is a product with extremely large price fluctuations, both when it goes up and when it goes down. Leverage refers to a product that aims to achieve three times the daily price movement of the underlying index.
This product is not guaranteed to triple in value over the long term . Please make your own investment decisions. As an individual who actually owns a TCL, I will share the situation this week and my thoughts here . Now, here are this week's stock prices. As of the closing price on June 5, 2026, TCL was at $202.59 , down 17.44% for the week .
TQ99 was down 13.61% at 73.05 . The immediate pass rate was $182.54, down 1.63% . All three stocks fell quite significantly, didn't they? In particular, stocks that aim to triple the daily price movement of reaction stocks have fallen by approximately 19% in a week . To summarize briefly, TCL is a major American technology stock .
TQ99 and NASDA100 are reaction stocks . Although the specific targets differed slightly, this week saw widespread selling across technology stocks . When considering the reasons for this week's decline, the first thing we need to check is how the market has risen up until now. TCL rose 68% in the month of May .
TQ99 rose by 33%, and the immediate number rose by a whopping 77% . It's amazing how much it's risen in just the last month or so . It's only natural that more people would want to lock in their profits when prices rise this quickly . Therefore, I believe the basis for this week's decline was a reaction to the sharp rise since May .
Then, the two factors I'll discuss next came together, causing the selling to accelerate rapidly . The first trigger for the widespread selling was Broadcom's earnings report. The financial results themselves weren't bad. Sales of reaction devices for AI were increasing. However, the outlook for the future wasn't as strong as the market had hoped .
Recently, stocks experiencing a rebound have seen their prices rise in anticipation of a considerably higher period. Therefore, even if good earnings were reported, unless they significantly exceeded market expectations, profit-taking was likely to occur. This selling pressure spread not only to Broadcom but also to other stocks experiencing a decline, such as NVIDIA.
On the other hand, TSMC explains that demand for reaction bodies for AI remains strong. In short, AI demand will continue, but the stock market, which had risen too much recently, has been corrected as a result. Well, I think this is a more natural way to look at it. Another trigger was the US employment statistics released on June 5th .
The number of employed people in May increased by 172,000 from the previous month. These are very strong figures, far exceeding market expectations. The unemployment rate remained unchanged from the previous month at 4.3% . Strong employment is n't necessarily a bad thing for the American economy, is it?
However, if the economy is strong this time, there is no need to immediately lower interest rates. It was also interpreted in this way . As a result, long-term interest rates in the United States rose and technology stocks were sold off . On Friday alone, the NA SDAQ Composite Index fell 4.2% and the NA SDAQ 100 fell 4.8%.
The stock price had been rising since May, and then the earnings report for broad stocks and strong employment statistics came along. That was the main trend in stock prices this week, wasn't it? Next up are the featured events for next week. First, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) will be released on June 10th.
This figure shows how much the prices of goods and services have risen in the United States. If inflation is strong, interest rates are unlikely to fall . Conversely, if prices remain stable, there is a possibility that interest rates, which rose this week, may fall slightly . Oracle's earnings report will be released after the close of trading on the same day, June 10th .
We will examine whether investments in cloud computing and AI are contributing to a company's sales. The Producer Price Index (PPI) will be released on June 11th . These figures show price fluctuations during the manufacturing process of a product. ADOB's earnings report will also be released after the close of trading on the same day, right?
The key question is whether these new AI-powered services are actually translating into increased sales . Then, the following week, from June 16th to 17th, there will be an FOMC meeting. This is a meeting to determine interest rates in the United States, similar to the Monetary Policy Meeting of the Bank of Japan in Japan .
Two inflation figures to be released next week will influence the view on interest rates ahead of that conference. Apple's WWDC developer conference will also be held on June 8th . This is an annual software presentation event, and this year the focus is on new AI and SirRi features. Depending on the announcement, TECL and TQ99 could move through Apple stock , but the two inflation indicators seem to be more important for the overall market next week .
Next, let's check the drawdown. Drawdown is a figure most recent high . While products with volatile price movements can see large increases, they can also experience significant declines. First, let's look at the maximum drawdown for 2026. PCL was down -40.54% , TQ99Q was down -33.60% , and Sokusuru was down -43.47% .
As of the closing price on June 5th, TCL is down 25.87% from its recent high , TQ99 is down 16.25% , and Sokusuru is down 34.93% . Of the three stocks, TQ99 experienced a relatively shallow decline. The most severe injury is the one that occurs immediately . Soxl's current drawdown is quite close to its maximum expected value for 2026 .
In other words, three stocks fell in the same direction this week , but the more concentrated the rebound was, the larger the correction after the rise. So that's what it means . Next, I will discuss my personal opinions and investment strategy. When you see something like this week's Kyuraku, it does make you feel a little unsettled, doesn't it?
But it's precisely at times like these that I try to remember the rules I initially set . TECL is not a serious investment, but a dream investment; it won't last for living expenses. I will not change my investment decisions based on short-term fluctuations. These are the three. I see this week 's decline as a combination of a reaction to an overbought period and headwinds from interest rates .
Of course, there's also a possibility that it could fall even further from here . But I don't make the decision to buy when the price goes up and sell when it goes down . Sapon will simply continue playing seriously without changing the existing rules . Leveraged products often experience price fluctuations of more than 10% in a single day, don't they?
And each time you wake up in the morning, you might feel excited, or you might feel even more depressed. This leads to stress, and you can't hold onto it long-term . Actually, I have a family, and I have children in middle school and elementary school, and I don't like it when a father's mood changes depending on fluctuations in stock prices .
I still believe that a parent's duty is to always keep their child in a stable and cheerful mood. This week, some of you may have felt anxious because your sleep patterns were significantly worse than usual . After stock prices rise, there's often a big correction like this, isn't there? Next week, let's take another look at how TCL TQ99Q will perform while keeping an eye on the inflation figures .
Thank you for watching this video to the end . I don't think there's any chance YouTube will recommend it to you again. So, if you found today's content even slightly helpful, please subscribe to the channel and give it a thumbs up, and come back to watch again ! Let's continue to monitor the performance of US leveraged ETFs together in the future . thank you very much .
