01. welcome in and welcome back we were here for the weekly investor the weekly investor number eight I believe basically two months of doing this now and we have four things that I'd like to talk about and then three stocks that I will be watching this week the first thing to talk about here we are still about as a recording about an hour away from the markets opening on this Monday in the futures run the features seem to be recouping some of the week that was and I am not sure how to feel about this I think that this market is going to correct very hard eventually I have to believe that based on nothing else other than the business numbers that are going to come out and we still have earnings rolling in so it's going to be interesting to see how these earnings we finally got some more and more of the big retailers coming out with their earnings reporting on their earnings including Walmart Target I believe Home Depot and Lowe's this week so it's going to be interesting to see exactly that's where all the business was that's where all the business was and this is a little bit of a preview for later in the episode as well as we get into the stocks that I'll be watching this week but you have to believe that this is a zombie market moving on anyone who has so there's between 55 and 70 views that these videos normally get and if you have been here the entire eight weeks that I've been doing this you know I'm gonna work Tesla and somehow and that mentioned this week comes as a part of piss and vinegar weekly surprise surprise fox business ran a story about Elon Musk where he states that creating Tesla and SpaceX was sort of a move to spite and fueled by the piss the vinegar from being fired as the seat removed as the CEO of PayPal and Tesla is right now of $20 in the pre markets but one has to wonder right I don't like to bring politics onto my channel but politics bleed into goddamn everything one has to wonder why it would be now that fox business is choosing to highlight Elon Musk it is almost definitely because of the stance that he has taken against a largely Democratic move a move that is supported mainly on the Democratic side of keeping things closed so it is interesting to see I mean he'll if you go back six months I don't think you would have found many positive words about Elon Musk on Fox period so it is it is interesting to track how someone who is as outspoken but as outspoken in a principled manner he does not care about left he does not care about right does heal on musk he speaks what it is he thinks is correct and that's an individual who unfortunately in today's world is accepted no we're sure don't get me wrong the Elon Musk fanboys myself included are going to be there regardless but there are going to be people who are on the right and remember a lot of lefty things he said and will not accept him there are going to be people people on the on the far left who hear his remarks and are disavowing him now it is stunning it is well I can't even say that the left disavowing Elon Musk goes back at least a year and a half at least a year and a half and it's stunning this guy is revolutionising basically the green movement he's essentially the only person to do anything on the green movement in a decade in 15 years and he's late years ahead of anyone else on that movement and not just cars not just cars you got to look at solar you've gotta look at battery storage you've got to look at the solar roof all of these things that he's revolutionising and people in today's world are so persnickety that they think you should align your values and everything you say 110 percent with them it's just an interesting thing to watch along those lines Kathy would called chamalla pitaya a bear stock market bear not a grinder bear a bear on the latest oricon best spot for assuming that capitalism is a failure I don't think those are exactly his words but he has expressed sentiments along those lines many times recently and tomorrow is even going off a bit lately off the rails it seems to me suggesting things like dividends should be done away with the dividends are dumb and I I love Jonathan he's one of the most interesting people for me that I believe he's one of the most interesting people to listen to as it pertains to the business world in general but he's going off on a Ledge for somebody who got rich investing in Facebook right like what is going on here suggesting that buybacks I understand being volatile dividends I mean he'll look I'm a coca-cola investor do I believe that coca-cola should be paying out in the 80th percentile with their dividends no I don't I think that coca-cola should have been using more money to grow probably should have acquired maybe monster ago maybe bang today that bang energy drink they should be much in the same way that Pepsi has acquired Rockstar so it's just interesting to know that as well the last thing that I want to talk about a little bit before we get into three stocks that I will be watching this week is this a zombie market I am posing that question genuinely it seems to me that this must be a zombie market a market that has been brought back to life by the percentage of Americans who were not only prepared for some type of downturn or some type of calamity catastrophe some type of something like the coronavirus Preppers people who have at least a little bit of prep in them when you have that person paired with someone who did not lose their job and is in fact forced to work through all of this I I'll use myself as an example I've had to work at least 40 hours a week since this stuff started I've had a lot of extra disposable income because I had to pick up a lot of overtime with this having co-workers who didn't feel comfortable working so I picked up some of the hours things like that plus I've always been a bit of a prepper I have the apocalypse in the back of my mind at all times and you gift me $1,200 I'm going to invest it the interesting thing and why I think this might not in fact be the case which is so confusing and confounding anyone who is in that position is probably investing in some of the stocks that are on sale coca-cola was are on sale Wells Fargo City all of these things Southwest Airlines all these things that crashed so heavily those things are still down coca-cola notwithstanding but three stocks I will be watching this week Google ticker goog which is the Class C share they are right now at about 1375 the 52-week low is 1013 the 52-week high is 15 32 they've got a p/e ratio as of 28 there are a lot of percolating antitrust sentiments and this is something that is not exclusive to either side the right is proclaiming antitrust things the left is proclaiming antitrust things so companies like Google are going to be hit it will be interesting to sort of if this does happen to Google it will be interesting to see what becomes of the properties you've got a search you've got Android you've got YouTube what properties go where will they all be their own company what's gonna happen there how would they split and you're going to true up the numbers as well there will be no interesting accounting tricks as far as saying what is profitable what is not profitable so it'll be interesting it really will be interesting the next talk I will be watching is in video ticker NVDA they're currently trading around 339 which is interesting because of 52 week low is a 132 but the 52 week high is 340 I have stayed away from these stocks largely because this is the winner and they only pay 0.19% dividend and they're not a new company like this is this company has been around for a while but they are reporting earnings this week and they're a big pre market but they have conflicting headlines about this company lawsuit about crypto mining business and then on the other side NVIDIA has unleashed the most powerful AI system ever so plus they are now moving away from Intel treating an Intel business for AMD business so it's gonna be interesting to see exactly what is happening on this front exactly where this company is going and can the lawsuits about concerning crypto be overshadowed by the potential payday which is the AI market and who are they teaming with on AI how's that gonna work the final stock that I will be watching this week is Walmart ticker WMT as stated earlier this is one of the necessaries one of the necessary necessary businesses that was able to stay open they to report earnings this week the 52 that are training around 126 the 52 week low is ninety nine ninety one to be exact and the 52 week high is around one hundred and thirty three dollars they were essential they were open they are neck-and-neck business wise and ticker wise with target ticker TGT target is currently trading at one hundred and twenty one dollars essentially these business you know pun intended these businesses were sort of granted oligarchy status not quite monopoly but ruled by the very powerful they were the only businesses open conflicting that a going against that going against the fact they were the only place that you could go to spend money look I haven't been to Walmart in months now because of this stuff and because my hours do not coincide with Walmart's there's no 24-hour Walmart where I'm at no crown Walmart in Kansas City how stupid is that but apparently thievery has gotten off off the chain here but it is what is to be made of the fact that they were open basically forced to be open not they were basically forced to be open in the face of almost all of the competition for any of the parts that they do sell being closed however they were roping off electronics they were roping off the clothing sections etc it said etc so what is that business going to look like when everyone is forced into your doors but you're not allowed to sell everything that you sell and I'm not even sure it's that they weren't allowed to I think there was so much confusion when this stuff started up the place where I work is retail as well we don't have as many different types of things as Walmart does but there were whispers that we were going to have to cordon off certain aisles and it just didn't make any sense if you're forced to have your doors open if people are going to be at work anyway might you sell whatever it is that you sell what happens to the people in the middle of a pandemic who bust through their there one pair of remaining work pants and they have to go to work too it was just madness to see this so it's going to be interesting to see what happens with their numbers and I would like to be privy to the online businesses for both Target and Walmart to see how those things are shaping up in the face of the behemoth which is Amazon ironically another company which is facing antitrust type talks so that is all for this week's weekly investor for stories and three stocks I hope to hear from you in the comment section about whether or not this is a zombie market and feelings on that but that is all I have for this week I hope to see you next week next Monday for the weekly investor 9:00
