Vijay Kedia's investing strategy is so simple that it can be summarized in one line. So I read an article in the paper, this article would be of seven-eight lines. Maybe I am not paying attention to Punjab tractors. So I just read that there is some rebound happening in the tractor industry. You know, I just bought those shares after reading that article because this industry is rebounding and that share was cheap in terms of P/E.
There was a formula of P which is still used today but now many more different formulas have come and among them P is considered the biggest. So it seems that the share is comparatively cheap. So saying this, that Punjab tractor was bought and whatever money I had at that time, and I had a habit of watching the spectacle of houses burning, so I invested everything I had in it.
Okay, so that is the story of Punjab Tractor, whatever might have happened by chance, four, five, seven, eight times, then I mean, in any sector where tail wind is going to come, find a company there and invest in that company, you will know the tail wind of the sector by reading newspapers, reading articles, watching YouTube videos as you are seeing now and then go and find a company and invest in it through Smile Formula, in which the most important thing is Management Integrity according to me.
Now there is still one such sector and that is nuclear power. Currently, India's nuclear capacity is 8 GW, which the government aims to increase to 100 GW by 2047, whose current value is around Rs 1.8 lakh crore and it will become around Rs 15 to 20 lakh crore by 2047, which gives a CAGR of around 10 to 11% for this sector, which was almost zero previously, and it seems to be more than 10% if the government tries to overachieve as it did in solar.
So the story that happened in Solar is now going to happen in Nuclear. The problem is that Solar could have been built immediately. But building a nuclear power plant takes time. And in such a situation, there are still very few companies in the nuclear sector. Prominent among them are NTPC and NTPC Green, which will get to run this power plant and maybe Adani Power also and then among them come those which will do the construction work of all this, which is in the listed space and will do the work of technology and design.
So among them is MK Walchand which is an equipment company, Hindustan Construction Company which is a nuclear power plant construction company which has also started building expressway roads for the time being, originally perhaps it was his company which is in heavy depth and does not even get any return from its capital and there is Engineers India, out of these, which will be the first and most immediate beneficiary of this group.
That will be Hindustan Construction because it will get the order to build it first. Then there will be Valchandra because the equipment will be installed by him. There will be MTAR Tech and after that there will be NTPC Adani and Engineers India can also be there because it is an engineering company so its capital is not much but the margin is very high, it has always been a profitable company but there has been no growth and for the last three years the growth has been 60% and even the order book of the company is currently worth Rs 13000 crore.
Which comes from the second segment, out of which the company has just received an order of about Rs 30 crore from a nuclear power plant, an order for nuclear power and the nuclear sector in India will be worth about Rs 14 lakh crore within 20 years. In which the main companies are a company worth Rs 10,000 crore, a company worth Rs 5000 crore, a company worth Rs 1000 crore and a company worth Rs 8,000 crore.
Approximately, if you talk about the base, then these are the two companies which will operate the power, which will operate and build the power plants. Which is already not small in size. Everything else is there. But all four companies come in small size. In which there would be the best tar tack but its PE is touching the sky.
And the condition of all these other companies is not that good. Loss and profit, loss and profit, it goes like this. Out of which only Engineers India has continuous profit and profit growth. The order book for the last three years and in the future is worth Rs 13,000 crore. But the problem is that the nuclear is still worth only Rs 30 crore.
The rest of it is all with high nuclear exposure. So that sector can be looked at. The nuclear sector can be looked into, in which these companies are present as per my knowledge, and if it happens then perhaps investment can also be made. I do n't understand anything worth investing in right now. Otherwise, if I understand it in the future, in the next quarter's results or in the next con call, then I may consider investing and this is not a buy or sell recommendation for you.
