Hello, welcome to Money Time, and I'm Simranjeet Singh. In this, we're going to discuss some of the day's biggest business and personal finance news and explain their impact. Let's begin today's bulletin with news related to ATM withdrawals, which could have a direct impact on your wallet. The Reserve Bank of India has increased the interchange fee on ATM withdrawals, and from May 1, withdrawing cash from ATMs across the country will become more expensive.

This charge will be levied after the free limit is reached. ATM interchange fees are fees paid by one bank to another for providing ATM services to customers. Banks often pass this fee on to their customers, a claim claimed in several reports. According to the report, white-label ATM operators requested an increase in ATM cash withdrawal fees, citing rising operational costs.

Following this, the RBI has decided to increase the fees. Now, let's find out how much more customers will have to pay for cash withdrawals after exceeding their cash withdrawal limit. For financial transactions, i.e. cash withdrawals, you will have to pay ₹1 per transaction for amounts above ₹1. This rule is going to be implemented across the country from May 1.

Next news: Unclaimed: The government and RBI have jointly taken a new step to ensure that the actual unclaimed amount reaches its rightful heir. If your elder or any other family member has left money in the bank in your name, but you are facing difficulty in withdrawing that money due to not having your complete details as a nominee, then now things have become easier for you.

On the decision of the government and RBI, private and public banks are jointly bringing an easy method through which unclaimed amount of Rs 8213 crore will be cleared. This easy mechanism will be fully operational from FY 26. Other necessary details like Aadhaar will have to be filled in for unclaimed amount.

After this, the bank will verify your details and if your details are found correct, you will get the money. Unclaimed amount can be found on the bank's website, in which the name and address of the account holder will also be given. You can unclaim it through this. Let's now talk about the stock market.
