You might think that Badrock and Larry Fink have changed the game with their Bitcoin ETFs, and that's true , but behind the headlines lies a much darker reality that many don't yet see. Just imagine, if you look at the ownership structures of all the major US companies, and in Germany too, the same names keep appearing at the top: Blackrock, Vengard and State Street.
Together they control at least about 30% of the total market value in the USA. The disturbing thing about the whole matter is that almost all of these shares actually represent our money. This is the first of millions of people like you and me. But because these giants manage voting rights, they have seized control over the direction of our capitalist system .
They basically decide, not us. And even more worrying, these same three players control almost every publicly listed company worldwide. They own competitors like Pepsi and Coca-Cola, Nike and Adidas, who are actually fighting for market share. But behind the scenes, they have the same owners, namely Black Rock Vengard State Street.
So we live in a system that pretends to be competitive, while it is already centralized, and people argue about other issues. But there is ultimately hope, and that lies in Bitcoin or companies that deal with Bitcoin , such as Wegramm Swami's company Strive. With a clear mission, it has already managed over 2 billion dollars.
They are uncompromising in their commitment to shareholder rights, unlike BlackRock and others, and they are not focused on Bitcoin. And Schweif even says that the traditional 6040 model, i.e., stocks and bonds in this ratio, is dead, because the debt crisis in the USA, the underfunding of pension funds, which we also have in Germany, inflation or the threat of rising inflation, all of this is forcing many to rethink their strategies, and that is happening now, and this is where Bitcoin comes into play.
Bitcoin is not just a hedge against the failure of the fiat system, but the first truly scarce asset in history. While states and corporations compete for Bitcoin, Dramaswami, for example, sees Bitcoin as a key to protecting long-term assets. Especially for pension funds, which have to think in terms of decades.
And Bitcoin helps us, the ordinary people, to regain control over our money and thereby build financial freedom and become independent. And if you want to do that through Bitcoin and build your financial freedom in crypto through Bitcoin , . Again, you may know that the largest shareholders of almost every publicly traded company are a combination of BlackRock, State Street, and Vengard .
Together, these three investors hold 15 to 25% of the company shares. This is totally crazy, and these companies have a huge power base. But that's not all. Most small investors, meaning ordinary people like you and me, do not vote through their shares at the annual general meetings . Just imagine an election where many people won't vote without it.
This gives those who cast their votes even more power. It's the same here. BlackRock, Gate Street and Vangard consistently use their voting rights, thus becoming almost secret controllers of the companies. But there is an even greater risk that hardly anyone talks about. What happens when these giants also decide on your Bitcoin assets in the future?
Think, for example, of the block size debate of 2017, when Bitcoin split. Had ETF providers like BlackRock voted in their own interest back then, rather than in the interest of investors, the chaos would have been much greater. And such scenarios are rare, but when they occur, they could be devastating, and the beneficiaries would be, for example, Black Rock, State Street, and Vengard.
And the problem may not necessarily be malicious intent, but rather the concentration of power. And many underestimate the management risk and custody risk associated with Bitcoin ETFs. Sure, Bitcoin ETFs are convenient, but when your Bitcoin is held by a centralized provider, you essentially relinquish control .
The solution: self-custody of Bitcoin. And now we come to the exciting part. Bitcoin as the scarcest asset in a world that is currently being radically transformed by artificial intelligence. The S&P 500 will very likely consist of about half other companies in the next 10 years , similar to what happened after the Dcom boom.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, remains a fixed network, independent of technological trends. Since 2016, it has evolved from a niche project into a global store of value that is relevant for individuals, companies and even states . In uncertain times, this is no coincidence, and Larry Fing of Blackrock even stated at a conference that Bitcoin could rise to $500,000 to $700,000 per Bitcoin in the near future .
That would be at least five times the current price. Ination if that beces you see it could proper hedge against may hope sec could I was with a funding this week and that was Convation we have a 2% allocation we have aocationbody00 and just imagine what the world could look like in the next few years .
Artificial intelligence, or AI, will change everything ten times more than the internet ever has, and at a much, much faster pace. While the internet took decades to revolutionize society and the economy, artificial intelligence could completely transform this disruptive force in just one decade . Perhaps in 10 years half of the companies in the S&P 500 will no longer exist because they cannot or could not keep up with the pace of change.
At the same time, we are moving away from globalization. It's not that the world is completely isolated, but the trend is clearly towards deglobalization, exacerbated by debt crises and unstable fiat currencies such as the dollar or the euro. And that means, in uncertain times, as Larry Fink has also pointed out, Bitcoin becomes a crucial safety net, or rather, Bitcoin becomes increasingly interesting.
For companies, this means that using artificial intelligence is vital for survival, but even that might not be enough. Just imagine tax software that is based on AI. Why should people pay for it, i.e., pay a tax advisor, when AI can do their taxes for free and just as reliably? Many industries face similar problems.
This means that in order to survive in the long term , companies need not only innovation but also solid capital. And this is where Bitcoin comes into play. Bitcoin is precisely that: a scarce global asset that grows in the long term. There are basically companies that have the opportunity to reinvent themselves instead of going under.
And here comes the game changer. The next big wave for Bitcoin will be driven not by hedge funds, but by wealth managers. This means that more and more financial experts see Bitcoin as an indispensable part of every portfolio, at least 3 to 5%, or even better, more. And here again, BlackRock has given the indication that they heavily promoted Bitcoin at a conference in Brazil at the end of 2024 .
Take a look at this. But what we have found with blockchain and digital assets is that this is, in some ways, one of the fastest growing technologies we have seen in recent years. On the right side of the diagram you can see our adoption curve. This simply shows how quickly certain assets are adopted by society .
And they can see that blockchain and digital assets are being adopted faster than major revolutions before them, be it the internet or mobile phones. And there are a few reasons for that. The first reason is that we live in a more digital economy than ever before. When we consume things online , stream videos, play video games , and buy digital content, it makes sense to have digitally native assets to carry out these transactions.
Especially secondly, and this is important in a year like this, when over half the world's population is voting for new leadership , not just the elections in the United States, in Mexico, in India, in the European Union. We see more geopolitical risks than before and indeed a decline in trust in institutions.
Be it trust in government institutions to maintain peace and order, or trust in central banks to keep inflation under control. Increased distrust has intensified the need for a global monetary alternative, and in Germany many are still hesitant to invest in Bitcoin, for example . However, globally the realization is gaining ground that Bitcoin is undervalued, while artificial intelligence is shaking everything up.
Bitcoin we hear that you think about Ethereum these are incredible things now rock is not known as a uh guner by any means. You obviously must believe that this may be an alternative. Is this an alternative in order to be able because of the a deficit? Maybe something long-term people should have. Absolutely.
Um, as you know, I was a skeptic. Yes, I, you know, I was a proud skeptic and I studied it, learned about it, and I came away saying okay, you know, my opinion years ago was wrong. Here's my opinion study. This is what I believe in today. I believe the opportunity today. I believe Bitcoin is legitimate.
I'm not trying to say there's not betuses like anything else, but it is a legitimate financial instrument that allows you to have maybe uncorrelated, noncorrelated type of returns. I believe it is an instrument that you invest in when you're more frightened though. It is an instrument when you believe that countries are debasing their currency, debasing their currency by excess deficit and some countries are I believe we have countries where you're frightened of your everyday existence and have an opportunity to invest in something that is outside your country's uh you know control then you can have more financial control and so I'm a major believer that there is a role I believe that one look I look dig as I said before and I do believe there there's a real need for everyone to look at it as as one alternative to I would say the optimism that I have in the world.
If you want to hedge hope, Bitcoin is not an instrument for hope unless you're hopeful you're going to make a lot of money on it. But I look at it as a vehicle in which you're expressing your financial acum in something that you're more frightened of the world. You're more frightened of your existence and I believe there's a great industrial use for it.
And I think a lot of people are missing that. I couldn't agree more. I changed my mind about it when you did. You my thinking he also whoever acts now is protecting themselves against the uncertainty, so regardless of whether you run a company, invest or simply want to secure your future, remember that the rules of the game are currently changing radically.
Artificial intelligence is the engine, Bitcoin is the shield, and those who cleverly combine both will be the winners of tomorrow.
