So it is like this Sir, I have already told this description many times, so probably many of your viewers must be aware of this, still for those who might not have watched any channel, still I will tell you in short, my journey started from Kolkata and my grandfather or my family was into stock broking in Kolkata Stock Exchange, so it so happened that when I was 14 years old, I was in 10th class, then my father passed away, a few days after that I had my exam, and I failed in the exam, so when I failed, you can understand that in a way all the doors of education were closed for me, but somehow someone went to the headmaster and convinced him and he made me take the re- exam there and passed me out of sympathy, but actually the thing was that after that I did not feel like studying, I did not want to continue my studies, but somehow I studied hard and completed B.Com, and when my father died So we all were from a joint family and the work was of broking and but that environment was not good for joint families, many joint families are very good but in some places they are not good, so it was a coincidence that that environment was not good and it was a good coincidence that later I came to know that it was probably in my favor, so from that time itself, from the 10th class itself, I started feeling that I have to stand on my own feet soon, otherwise no one will be able to look after my family or I will not be able to do anything, so since I did not do any academic or any course like that and I did not have that in me, then from that time actually I wanted to come into the stock market because that was the only way in which you did not need a lot of capital and it was only trading work, you know, so I felt that if I come into this, if my luck turns in trading, then maybe I will be able to manage my household expenses or whatever it would be, but I was under age I did not become one by saying this, so when I was 18 or 19 years old, I met the president of the Kolkata exchange and he showed sympathy and took me under age.
There was a 2-year requirement to enter the stock market, so I was 18 or 19, I don't remember, maybe it was 19. So, they passed me in the committee and gave me a chance to enter, so I entered there and from there I started trading because I did not have capital and there was no support from my family, so I did not have any understanding there and trading is what we call satta, which is a kind of gambling, you do not need to understand much in it, you just see that yes, yours or mine, so that is my car, so I started from there, so it was like that, so I was a beginner, beginners who favors everyone, so nature and destiny favored me too, and as soon as I entered, I got very good success, for six months to a year, I used to play it very intuitively, so I did not have any standard, I did n't know anything technical at that time, and nobody read a balance sheet.
The balance sheet in trading is n't fundamental to trading, and fundamentals are n't fundamental to trading. So, I practiced it intuitively, and when I was successful, I felt like I had the world in my hands. After a year of my life, my luck took a turn, as I stopped listening to tuition and whatever money came in, I wanted to become a millionaire quickly, so I could live a good life.
So, that money kept coming in and going out. I kept working hard all my life. After 10 years of hard work, I realized that I still didn't have enough money to meet my household expenses. I still had nothing left. After paying taxes, I decided to quit. Maybe God didn't make me for trading. So, I did that.
From there I turned towards investment and from there step by step, step by step, God's blessings were with me and from there I started studying the fundamentals of trading investment, I used to read magazines, read newspapers, talk to people about how things were going, how to choose shares, what kind of company to buy, whose future is bright and I used to read newspapers a lot, I used to read all the newspapers which were business newspapers and at that time there were no courses available and these two-four business magazines which used to come at that time, Business India and I used to read all of that and from that I used to make up my mind that this should be done, that should be done, by chance I got success in it and my entire interest shifted towards investment and after 10 years of hard work, I had saved about 35000 rupees, even before this I used to save Rs.
5000, but then 10000 would be spent, then I would recover that 5000, it used to go on like this and whatever I saved of 35000. I had some money left with me, at that time I bought a particular share of it, I came to Bombay with that share, that share increased four to five times, I sold it to him, it increased four to five to six times in two-three years, so in this way my caravan continued and after coming to Mumbai I joined a library etc.
and I used to read about companies and kept reading about investment, kept talking to people, that is how this journey started Sir Short.
