Huge news from BlackRock coming from the Bitcoin ETF space. BlackRock has updated its Bitcoin ETF prospectus, adding five major Wall Street firms as new authorized participants, including Citadel, Goldman S.A., UBS, and Citigroup. The takeaway here is that high-profile firms now have a stake in this or are publicly associated with it.
And understand one thing: BlackRock, as well as every other Bitcoin ETF issuer, already had big names listed as authorized participants. Probably the most surprising at the time would be JP Morgan. It seems more of the biggest firms want in, or more of the biggest firms now want to be associated with its success.
This is a tweet from Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst. Here's a current list of the ETFs. And suspense! So far, Citigroup, Goldman S.A., UBS, and Citadel weren't named in any of these ETF filings. So either they're new, or they were previously embarrassed and didn't want to be identified, but now they're fine.
Either way, this is probably a result of the mega inflows and the success of the ETFs. Authorized participants play a crucial and very significant role in the operating mechanism of the Bitcoin ETF, as they can create or redeem ETF shares. This involves exchanging ETF shares for a corresponding basket of securities that reflect the ETF's holdings, or exchanging them for cash.
It's incredible that this is happening, and why not, right? Look at this: these ETFs have been a huge success, the most successful ETFs on Wall Street. All these ETFs have simply been absorbing a huge amount of Bitcoin, as they have been seeing positive net Bitcoin inflows. The only elephant in the room is GBTC, and you can see the outflows from GBTC here.
Again, the net outflows are positive. This is what I think will happen in the not-too-distant future because, although there has been constant selling pressure on GBTC, the ETFs in general are holding up remarkably well, as I showed you. Honestly, I feel like we haven't even seen the upside yet because once the GBTC sell-off subsides and GBTC starts to rise along with others like BlackRock, that's when things will get crazy.
So we are seeing a big impact. On the demand side, and then in about 13 days, we're going to see a big impact on the supply side. You realize this is less than two weeks away. You're having a halving party. Your friends don't even know the Bitcoin halving is coming soon, or you're saving this information.
This is very significant. Now, there's a problem. There's a bit of a concern that arises with every halving, and that's the profitability of the miners. Because after the halving, the bitcoins that miners receive as payment are cut in half, and some of the smaller miners generally can't remain profitable.
Now, here's the thing: miners are well above the break-even point right now. For the last four years since the last halving, miners made a bet, and they're winning the bet because they're highly profitable. But after this, take a look at where Bitcoin is right now. They would still be profitable, but if Bitcoin ever falls below, say, 63,000, the miners wouldn't necessarily be profitable.
Now, obviously, miners can hold onto some bits to a certain extent, but not They have an unlimited supply of Bitcoin to save themselves if Bitcoin falls below 63,000, and the larger miners will be fine, but it's really the smaller miners who are at risk. The question is, do you think Bitcoin will stay below 63,000 after April 20th?
I think everything will be fine; it always is. That's capitalism. With miners, the weakest might be eliminated, but overall, the strongest will survive. And I'm actually optimistic about Bitcoin mining in general. There's a savior factor; many are recognizing this, but it's still early. Within this ecosystem, the savior factor for miners is network fees, especially with this booming token economy we're seeing in Bitcoin today.
It's still early, but you know about ordinals and inscriptions, and Bitcoin is developing its own token economy, just like Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano. It won't necessarily fall after the halving because the increased network fees could supplement miners' income after the halving, thanks to the emergence of ordinals, inscriptions, and Bitcoin finance.
The Bitcoin ecosystem is growing. Personally, I'm looking for jewelry, and now that... We're going to delve into the topic of altcoins. Let me tell you, I know stacks, I know Bob, but there are many I don't know. I've been interested in ecosystems like this for a while, so I've started doing my own research.
Tell me, what Bitcoin tokens do you like? One that recently caught our attention is TRX20. TRX20 is revolutionizing and pioneering game fidelity built on the Bitcoin protocol with multiple games, an NFT5 marketplace, and a progressive lottery all under one roof. In fact, we've joined as strategic advisors.
We're delighted to announce Alcoin Daily, our newest strategic advisor with a reach exceeding one million. Alcoin Daily brings informative and reliable crypto updates. Join us to welcome them aboard. We appreciate it. So, yeah, I thought they had some interesting things going on, just securing $1 million in funding.
What exactly is it? I don't fully understand, but anyway, it's revolutionizing game fidelity built on the Bitcoin protocol, combining a diverse library of games, an NFT5 marketplace with lending and borrowing capabilities, and a progressive lottery system, all accessible through of their active token TRX20.
This is a Bitcoin token that creates a one-stop shop for BRC2 enthusiasts. So this is the token standard. Look, there we are. There you can see they have some major influencers as well as some launch partners. Among them, we like Orange DEX. Final thoughts on this: 320 Pioneers in a revolutionary ecosystem inspired by PlayStation, Barg Boy, etching their name at the forefront of innovation built on the BRC2 blockchain.
This platform delivers an unparalleled gaming experience. Three captivating games are headlining the inaugural season, seamlessly bringing the excitement of classic games with the power of blockchain technology. TRX20 enrolls the games themselves on the blockchain, transforming them into a collection of 2009 Genesis NFTs.
That was the Business Insider article, and there's virtually a very similar article on Yahoo Finance. You probably saw it. Hey, TRX20 is one I like. Orange DEX is one I like. I like stacks. I like a couple of different ones, but we're very early in this ecosystem. Now you tell me which token you like.
Feel free to check out TRX 20 in other news. Base is dominating the Layer 2 landscape. Ethereum's Layer 2 networks are all performing well, but Base really stands out. Base leads in terms of daily active addresses with 890,000. Base's transaction volume surpassed 1.6 trillion, almost three times that of Optimism.
The network processed 2.63 million transactions on April 2nd. You could say it's Base's springtime. And again, all this is happening in Ethereum, guys. Not only does the largest US exchange, Coinbase, support Ethereum, but so does BlackRock and even entities like JP Morgan, who have every reason to suggest otherwise.
JP Morgan strategists are saying they believe Ethereum spot ETFs would win regulatory approval in litigation with the SEC. So even if the SEC gives them trouble, JP Morgan strategists are saying, " Well, there's no reason why they shouldn't be approved on appeal. There's no reason why they shouldn't be approved now." This is a really good insight into Ethereum from Tyler Winkle.
Boss: It's digital oil, like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google combined. The way to digital Bitcoin, or 2. And you can think of it as digital oil, and AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud. If there was a token that allowed you to purchase computing power, so you could run your applications on top of those cloud providers, that token would be ether.
It's like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google combined, but unlike Amazon, you can't put your credit card in, open an account, and pay them for their computational resources or storage. The Ethereum computational resource, of course, is Cardano being limited by the media. Several US states contacted the Cardano Foundation asking for help to build a transparent and secure voting system.
Some major media outlets haven't even reported on it. Could it be that the media is deliberately ignoring this news because it's about Cardano? I'm optimistic about Cardano simply because I see what's happening, and they're going to be here in the future. The Cardano treasury has 1.48 billion EIDA coins.
This is equivalent to 843 million. The EIDA treasury adds EIDA every 5 seconds. So, Cardano It will be here in 5 years, it will be here in 10 years at least according to the data I see.
