01. Hello everyone, this is Kevin, and I have another piece of good news for you regarding the next stages of stimulation. This time, from the Vice President's office, we will also discuss other updates on mortgage holidays and the market situation. By the way, I get a lot of messages on Instagram and Twitter from many of you who say that you signed up for Weeble to get two free shares, but after opening your account you received a bonus offer: you can get up to 30 more free shares if you deposit additional funds.

02. This was really interesting, so if you haven't received your two free shares from Weeble yet, use the link below. This video is sponsored by Weeble and of course Life Insurance , where you can get life insurance in just 5 minutes . First, Marc Short, Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, said in an interview with Bloomberg Radio today that the White House wants Congress to pass another stimulus package by the first week of August, before the August recess.

03. This is really, really good news, as there were rumors that we might not hear or see any stimulus package until September. This made us, or many of us, already tear our hair out , because it would be absurd if they literally went back to work after the July break and then went on break again without passing the bill.

04. Fortunately, Marc Short reported good news: at least the White House is pressuring Congress to take action immediately upon their return. Marc Short also added that he wants the next stimulus package to be $1 trillion or less. This is interesting because it matches Mitch McConnell's estimate of $1 trillion for the next package, but it's half of what Donald Trump proposed.

05. He, Donald Trump, suggested that he would like to see something closer to a $2 trillion package. But in my opinion, this is actually not such bad news. I would prefer time limits: it is better to pass a $ 1 trillion package now than to wait for $2 trillion or for a vaccine to appear, when the package will not be needed at all .

06. Isn't that right ? So I would prefer to see something faster. And remember, $1 trillion is actually a very large amount. Think about it. First, infrastructure will be a separate bill, so we don't need to worry about infrastructure spending, sorry, in that package. There is also enough money left in the Paycheck Protection Program, so businesses can still get extra money by applying for the PPP.

07. They are even considering reallocating remaining funds to give early-applicant companies another chance— a chance to get additional money for those who have already applied and been approved. So, this $1 trillion could be directed to other priorities. Mark Short mentioned some of them. He mentioned things like liability protection , health care funding , tax breaks, return-to-work bonuses, and probably funding for stimulus payments and unemployment benefits.

08. His discussion somewhat implied that unemployment benefits would be around $400 to $450 per week. Not as much as that $600 a week, but still better than nothing. He also added, and it's good, that the goal now is to submit the bill to the president for signature by August 10, which, by the way, is Lauren's birthday.

09. She posted a new video. It is quite interesting. This is a new house. Meat Kevin bought it for her. Look at this. This is a good video. I'll leave a link to it below. But be that as it may , Mark noted that the goal now is to submit the bill to the president for signature no later than August 10, and most likely by August 3, since the House of Representatives goes on vacation on August 3.

10. The Senate is expected to pass the first option if they prepare their own bill . So, realistically, we could see this bill reach the president's desk between August 3 and 10 , which is especially great because the situation is a bit worrisome right now. And if another stimulus package is passed and it includes stimulus payments, theoretically they could push a few buttons and we could see new direct deposits, right?

11. We heard Mitch McConnell say yesterday that only people who are particularly hard-hit, such as those making less than $40,000 a year, can get these direct deposits. We may see some reduction in the threshold for receiving the incentive payment from the current $75,000. Perhaps the decrease will not be so significant.

12. Maybe there will be negotiations and the threshold will drop, I don't know, to $65,000. We'll see . But the situation has clearly changed , not only in our markets, but also in our sentiments. The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Mr. Bostic, warned that he was seeing, quote, a “ leveling off” in the US economic recovery.

13. This is not very good. The Financial Times also reported this morning that Americans have become more pessimistic about a quick recovery from the pandemic. At the same time, 49% of Americans believe that the situation could worsen next month, especially where there is a surge in cases. And only 24% of Americans now believe that our economic situation will improve in the short term.

14. I know this can be quite alarming. This is worrying for Lauren and me too. Not only for our family and parents, but also for our children. Will they go back to school? Will we have to homeschool them? And everyone has their own unique circumstances that cause concern. So we really need more communication from the government.

15. But if I could just pause briefly and interject to say: What has helped me personally in these times of anxiety is that, especially in March and April, when things were really scary, I thought to myself, "Okay, what can I do now to lay a financial foundation for success in the future?" And while it may hurt, try to put some money aside: save, invest in stocks, or start planning to buy your first home if you have a job and qualify.

16. And if not, see what you can do to save some money and maybe invest in an index fund. Maybe invest some money in fractional shares of a reliable company like Apple, Tesla, or Amazon and try to grow your capital in the long run, because remember: in America, those with assets are the first to be bailed out .

17. We'll talk about mortgage deferrals in a moment, but that's how it usually works in America . People without assets tend to be left out . So do your best to use these times of fear and anxiety to convince yourself, "Okay, maybe I'll try." Maybe I'll start getting involved a little and take the first step.

18. You know, I'll buy the stock. I will buy two stocks or start thinking about buying a house in the future. I will buy something less than I can afford. That would be a good start. But in any case, let's continue with the news review. Sorry to push this this way. Incidentally, the government also announced another $1.6 billion in federal aid to Novavax, another potential vaccine manufacturer.

19. This $1.6 billion should help fund clinical trials and establish large-scale production of doses. They are trying to reach 100 million doses by the end of the year. The company's shares immediately jumped 37%, and they are now up about 31%. The government has already funded several such companies. Again , it's business and big companies that get huge financial injections, right?

20. But I understand why. They are working on creating a vaccine. Companies like Regeneron, Johnson&Johnson, AstraZeneca, Moderna. All of these companies have received millions, hundreds of millions of dollars in funding to help us get a vaccine. In other news: About one in five adults have moved in, either alone or with someone else, because of the pandemic.

21. A lot of young people or, you know, low-income Americans have been disproportionately affected by this , in part because college campuses are closing and people are consolidating households. Speaking of households: research firm Black Knight reported that the number of mortgage payment deferral renewals decreased slightly in the first 90-day renewal period.

22. We now have 8.6% of all active mortgages in forbearance, down from 8.8%. Now remember my opinion on this matter. This is not necessarily a sign of a market crisis. This is truly a sign that homeowners are taking advantage of the free stimulus funds available to them . Remember, if you defer payments for 12 months for up to 30 years, it's like getting free money because by investing it, you can actually double the amount, pay off the debt, and still have what you deferred, about 10-15 years later.

23. So, it's effectively free money. I talk about these principles, by the way, for beginners and anyone who wants to learn about stocks, money, and the basics of finance, in my money and finance course, where we really go from zero to pro at a leisurely pace. But in any case, if you have n't taken advantage of the mortgage deferment yet, I advise you to do so.

24. This really helps to build up a reserve fund. This helps protect yourself and perhaps start accumulating more assets. As for tenants, there are only talks about expanding or extending protection from eviction. Remember, tenants have been almost forgotten during this pandemic, and that's pretty sad. Honestly, tenants were left to their own devices: they said, go apply for unemployment benefits or negotiate with the landlord, otherwise you will accumulate rent debt every month.

25. I am constantly saddened by how little support renters receive from the state compared to those who have assets, homes, and stocks. And with business. You may notice this theme in all my videos about stimulation, because it's true. This is how people create wealth. Now, regarding the market, we are seeing a slight pullback today, which creates an opportunity to buy shares.

26. Of course, you can use the Weeble platform and buy yourself stocks that have fallen in price. Today we have a lot to choose from among what is in the red zone. I would personally stay away from more speculative companies like the rapidly falling Nikola or retail and restaurant stocks. And I would look for something that is also in the red, but is more reliable.

27. This could be Target, Redfin, or Etsy. By the way, even Chipotle is in the red today . Which is quite interesting. But in any case, here are some interesting possibilities for you. Keep in mind, if you haven't seen my video on stocks yet, I highly recommend watching. I will link to it here or below.

28. There I give my thoughts on which stocks I am betting on now and what my strategy is, especially in terms of avoiding some of the “vaccine” stocks. And to top it all off , China has confirmed one case of bubonic plague. The patient is apparently in stable condition, but China has declared a level three alert, warning citizens to report dead animals and suspected cases of people with high fevers for no apparent reason.

29. The bubonic plague , by the way, was known as the "Black Death," and it killed 50 million people in the 14th century. And then, during the second wave 500 years later, it claimed the lives of another 12 million people. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe is closing its stock market to combat the rapid devaluation of the currency as people in Zimbabwe flee en masse to the stock market to protect their wealth.

30. Whenever the economic situation in Zimbabwe worsens, the stock market rises. So the government decided: you know what? We'll just close the stock market. It's a shame they don't have their own Jerome Powell who could just print more money. Although, perhaps, that would only make things worse. But they have a central bank chairman, a certain Jerome Powell, who once said that God himself told him what interest rates should be. Well , that's all. That was all the news for today. see you next time.
