the market throws the baby out with the bathwater. Or maybe it's the investors uh or the speculators. And so uh as usual, we uh uh consolidate our positions to our higher conviction names. Um but you know, most of this volatility is algorithmically generated. Algorithms are not doing the research that we're doing.

uh and so that is why we concentrate towards our highest conviction names. The market gives us that opportunity. We think this is temporary. What's going on in the market? Remember there was a sharp decline and a lot of people were freaked out. Anyone who sold during that moment of drama uh regretted it.

This market is climbing a wall of worry. Uh those are the strongest bull markets. The volatility does shake uh people up, but frankly this is so much healthier an environment. The market is bleeding, fear is at a fever pitch, and software stocks are being liquidated with a sell now, ask questions later mentality.

But while the retail herd panics, Smart Capital is looking at the long game. Recent data confirms that Arc Invest has been actively offloading Salesforce positions with a $472.2,000 $2,000 sale on February 13th, followed by a $432.8,000 exit on February 17th in the ARKW fund. This isn't a sign of retreat.

It is a calculated consolidation into the highest conviction names in the portfolio. Kathy Wood remains adamant that most current volatility is algorithmically generated by systems that lack the fundamental research capacity of a human analyst. History backs her resolve. Look at the Liberation Day sell-off in April 2025.

Investors who capitulated during that drama regretted it as the market climbed a wall of worry to new heights. Today, with real-time trueflation sitting at a staggering 0.7% and a massive 861,000 downward revision in payrolls, Wood argues the Fed is too tight and the market is fundamentally mispricing the AI revolution.

This is the 1996 moment of our lifetime. A time to lean into the volatility, not run from it. We are setting the stage to discuss three ultimate winners in the ARK portfolio. These are the high conviction stocks Wood believes will capitalize on the shift from generic SAS to proprietary AI platforms.

In an era of agentic AI and exponential productivity gains, buying these dips and holding with ironclad patience is the only path to generational wealth. Let's begin with the Titan of the Ark portfolio, Tesla, ticker TSLA. We are witnessing what can only be described as a strategic renaissance for a company that is aggressively pivoting from a struggling automotive manufacturer into a powerhouse for robotics and autonomy.

While the retail crowd is fixated on short-term delivery misses, the sophisticated investor sees a company utilizing its Fortress balance sheet, boasting over $44 billion in liquidity to self-fund the most ambitious capital expenditure program in its history. Tesla is slated to deploy over $20 billion in capex for 2026.

This isn't just maintenance, it is the fuel for a total industrial transformation. This capital is being poured into six massive manufacturing facilities, including dedicated lines for the Cyber Cab and the Optimus humanoid robot. In a bold move that signals the end of the car era, Tesla is winding down production of the Model S and Model X to repurpose that factory space for Optimus production with an eyewatering target of 1 million units annually.

Critics point to the current forward PE of roughly 200 times as a red flag, but that metric is fundamentally misleading. It's a legacy calculation for a legacy business model. As Tesla transitions to autonomy as a service and launches its unsupervised robo taxi fleet, already beginning to ramp up in Austin, it shifts toward a software plus hardware margin profile that traditional automakers simply cannot touch.

Even with a temporary dip in vehicle deliveries, Tesla managed to expand its gap gross margin to 20.1% in Q4, proving that its vertical integration and cost controls are working. Between the exploding energy generation segment, which grew over 26% last year, and the direct $2 billion investment into XAI to integrate advanced reasoning into the fleet, Tesla is building a high moat AI empire.

For those with the patience to look past the algorithmic volatility, this dip represents a rare opportunity to own of autonomy to the intelligence that powers it, we find our second high conviction pick, Palunteer Technologies, ticker PLTR. This is a core holding that Kathy Wood believes is the ultimate operating system for the agentic AI era.

While the broader software sector has been decimated by a SAS apocalypse in early 2026, Palanteer has been unfairly caught in the crossfire, falling over 35% from its all-time highs despite accelerating fundamental strength. Wood's thesis is clear. Palanteer is not a generic rapper vulnerable to commoditization.

It is the essential AI infrastructure that sits on top of a proprietary ontology, a digital map of real world business relationships that turns data into actionable simulations. The numbers coming out of Palunteer are nothing short of legendary. In its Q4 FY25 earnings, the company delivered its 10th consecutive dual beat with revenue skyrocketing 70% year-over-year to $1.41 billion.

Most impressively, the US commercial segment, a key driver of the ARK thesis, grew 137% year-over-year. This growth is backed by a fortress balance sheet with over 7 billion in cash and a rule of 40 score of 127%, a level of efficiency that rivals even the biggest names in tech. Management is projecting revenue to accelerate further to 61% growth in FY26, fueled by a 143% surge in remaining performance obligations, which provides massive visibility into future cash flows.

Despite high-profile bearish calls from analysts who argue Palanteer is just a glorified consulting firm, the data proves otherwise. Palanteer's gross margins have approached a staggering 85% significantly higher than legacy consulting firms or even Microsoft. As the market shifts from AI training to the inference phase, Palanteer's artificial intelligence platform is becoming the CUDA of software, an unrivaled control layer that delivers immediate ROI.

The current dip is a classic case of the market throwing the baby out with the bathwater. For investors with the conviction to hold through this temporary correction, Palanteer offers a rare entry point into a company that is effectively paying for its own future growth. To close out our trinity of winners, we must look at the bedrock of the entire AI revolution, Nvidia Corporation, ticker NVDA.

Despite the broader meggaap consolidation that has defined early 2026, Nvidia remains the primary driver of the global AI cycle. While the market is currently demanding proof of monetization from major cloud service providers, Meta has provided a massive endorsement by doubling down on its multi-year partnership with Nvidia.

This reinforces Kathy Wood's stance that we are in a period of healthy consolidation rather than a bubble burst. The data center narrative is being supercharged by Meta's commitment to use Nvidia's Grace and Vera CPUs at industrial scale, essentially earmarking a significant portion of its 135 billion capital expenditure roadmap for Nvidia infrastructure.

Concerns over supply shortages for Blackwell and Reuben chips have been largely mitigated as Nvidia has secured multi-year reservations for advanced co-as packaging and foundry nodes at TSMC. Furthermore, critical high bandwidth memory for 2026 is already largely sold out. Yet, Nvidia has strategically secured roughly 70% of its HBM4 requirements from SKH Highix.

From a valuation perspective, Nvidia is far from cheap with a forward PE of 39.4 times. But its growth trajectory continues to outpace the sector with cumulative backlogs for major cloud providers like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google reaching a staggering $1.63 $63 trillion. The demand for advanced AI accelerators shows no signs of fatigue.

Wood views this as the picks and shovels play of the century. The underlying demand signal, particularly from the meta co-design partnership, reflects a strength that traditional analysts are missing. Holding through the current rangebound price action is the final test for investors who want to capture the next leg of the AI trade as it moves toward massive deployment of autonomous agentic AI.

In the world of high innovation investing, volatility isn't the enemy. It's the opportunity. Kathy Wood's decision to consolidate into Tesla, Palunteer, and Nvidia isn't a gamble. It's a calculated bet on the three pillars of the next industrial era. The market may panic over short-term SAS apocalypse headlines or Feddriven fears, but the underlying data from 20% gross margins at Tesla to 137% commercial growth at Palanteer tells a different story.

Stay patient. Ignore the noise and remember those who sold during the corrections of the past lived to regret
