Since 2004, he has been one of the most successful investors with his Pershing Square fund. We're talking about Blackman, which has since achieved a return of 1400 (12%), or 16.7% annually. If we compare that to the SMP, it only manages 470% over the same period, or about 10% per year. That doesn't sound like a big difference between 16% and 10%, but as you can see, it makes a massive difference between 1400 (12%) and 470%.

So it's worth investing every extra percentage point to get an extra one or two percentage points, which, after the power of compounding, makes a big difference. In this video, we'll look at how active Bill Ackman was in the fourth quarter. We'll also look at the large position he invested in foreign companies and the companies he recently acquired.

Have n't you already heard from the media that Bill Ackman likes to invest in stable, solid companies? We also invest for the long term, so be curious about which companies these are. Welcome, I'm Philipp, and the money in my account is invested in value investing, financial freedom, and everything that goes with it.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, not too many stocks were traded. The only thing he did was sell a small portion of his Hilton shares, just 22.6 percent of his Hilton holdings. This was the only transaction he made in the fourth quarter of 2021. Let's take a look at which companies he currently owns, with his portfolio valued at 10.5 billion.

Regarding his US portfolio, I should mention that this is his portfolio; his positions are only in America, totaling 10.5 billion. And how well it's performing? The largest position is still Hilton Sporting, Russia is on fire, Howard Hughes, and Domino's Pizza. He's already looked at these companies before.

Feel free to watch the video above or the link below. To learn more about these ventures, with this portfolio we can clearly see that Bill Ackman is heavily invested in food. He understands our basic needs, meaning we always have to eat, watch videos, or whatever. That's great, but it's not essential for survival.

If you're familiar with the food pyramid, you know that eating, sleeping, drinking, and so on are our basic needs. We always need them, and it seems obvious that he's invested in this area. No matter what the times, whether we're having good or bad times, we always have to eat and drink. Otherwise, we can't survive.

So, those were his positions in America. Outside of America, he also had a very large position in the Netherlands, where he invested in Universal Music Group, which, according to the ticker, currently has a market capitalization of 5.2 billion. That's definitely a significant position. If we look at all his holdings, Universal Music Group is the largest music label, ahead of Sony Music and Warner Music Group, and currently has a A market share of approximately 32 percent, and the company is primarily active in four areas: recorded music, music publishing services, and merchandising.

As mentioned, the company is headquartered in the Netherlands, but its operational business is located in Santa Monica, California. Perhaps this company, or perhaps the chemical industry, is a relevant term. If we were talking about record labels, I noticed him back then, and EMI, for example, also belongs to Universal Music Group.

This label, or rather this company, was acquired in 2011. Universal Music owns the exploitation rights. Famous musicians include Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Rolling Stone, Helen Fisher, Queen, and many more. So, that was his only investment outside of America. Now we come to his latest move, his latest stunt: in January 2022, he invested in Netflix for a whopping 1.2 billion dollars.

He acquired it for approximately 390,000 dollars. He bought 31 million shares and invested approximately 1.2 billion. Yes, Netflix, this company. Are you familiar with this video streaming service from Netflix? It's now known almost worldwide, except in China, for example, where Netflix isn't active, or perhaps not.

Yes, I don't know that for sure. Yes, and surprisingly, many were able to invest this 1.2 billion relatively quickly. Normally, it takes a certain amount of time to invest such a large volume in a company. Netflix fell after the quarterly figures were published. I find the stock strong, and so the leaking investor was able to quickly buy at a good price.

The Netflix share price was still at almost 700 dollars on November 17th and then, as I said, fell to 3,190 by the end of January, or even a bit lower in some cases. And so the company was able to maintain its position. If we look at Netflix's figures in recent years, we see that Netflix has had very good growth, has always grown nicely, and if they can continue that...

Or even if it will probably level off a bit, Netflix is certainly an interesting investment. What do you think of Will Eggman's investments? Feel free to write it in the comments. Thanks for watching, and I look forward to next time. See you then! Bye!
