Hello everyone! With you Car from Money Vest. So, today the markets are experiencing a slight pullback: the S&P 500 and Nasdaq indices are down slightly. The Nasdaq fell more than the S&P 500. The NASDAQ index fell by more than 83 basis points, while the S&P 500 remained virtually unchanged, and liquidity is once again flowing into safer assets: the Dow Jones index added more than 263 points, rising by a little more than 49 basis points on the day.

As for individual stocks, we have seen a lot of volatility. For example, SpaceX shares fell significantly today—by more than 13%. As I said in the video, a large number of SpaceX shares are expected to be unlocked soon, which will obviously lead to a further drop in the value of these securities. I also released a separate full video about SpaceX.

Be sure to watch it. Advanced Micro Devices, which I also did a video about, fell a little over 7% after reporting earnings that I thought were fantastic. Data center revenue has increased by 92-100%, and they expect this figure to double by 2027. Nvidia, which had been showing a strong upward momentum, lost ground a bit after Elon Musk said on an earnings conference call that Nvidia would be their exclusive chip supply partner because they were the best.

So, of course, we saw a very nice breakout on high trading volumes. I also made a video about Nvidia. I have already conducted many analytical reviews of stocks. So, we have already discussed and analyzed many individual stocks. Be sure to check them out. We talked about AMD, Nvidia, Oracle, Google, Meta, Microsoft , Palantir, SoFi, SpaceX—the list goes on, right?

All of these reviews were done recently, within the last few weeks. So make sure you check them out. Returning to the markets, let's first talk about the geopolitical situation between the US and Iran, as oil prices continue to fall. Now they have dropped to a low of $75 per barrel. Is the US ready to return to fulfilling its obligations?

Iran's statement comes after Trump hinted that a deal was very close. So, Iran stated that the US was ready to return to its commitments, while at the same time denying the fact of conducting direct negotiations with Washington. Iran's deputy foreign minister made the comments in an interview without going into details about the commitments in question , likely referring to a preliminary agreement reached last month and within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed on June 17 between the US and Iran.

Iran was to allow commercial ships to pass through the strait free of charge for 60 days. In return, Washington pledged, among other things, to lift the naval blockade of Iranian vessels. So, this is just another vague discussion. I would leave it as is for now. In other words, it will continue to surprise us, because as we know, one day we sign agreements, the next day we attack, then we sign agreements again, and the next day we attack again.

So there is a lot of uncertainty and constant fluctuations. Between the USA and Iran. Again, it is absolutely impossible to know what the future holds, but the long-term expectation is that eventually everything will calm down. But there is also speculation that ahead of the midterm elections, if President Trump feels he might lose, he will escalate almost everything.

All the chaos he's going to create. It will intensify the conflict with Iran. It will intensify the conflict over Greenland. He will strengthen many things, just to somehow get ahead of the election results. Is n't that right? So there are some assumptions here too. Again , we will learn about this over time, but JP Morgan warns of high levels of leverage that could destabilize the market in the future, as margin debt is currently at an all-time high .

There is a lot of margin debt that you don't see because it's not called margin debt, but something else. This is a type of leverage, partly hidden, partly public. If you look at FINRA's margin debt profile right now, we have an impressive $1.5 trillion . This is up from the previous month, up from $1.4 trillion.

So, this is a significant increase. And of course, as of June, we are at an all-time high in FINRA margin debt statistics. July figures have yet to be released. And that's very important, right? This is a very, very important statistic because you'll notice that since 2023, this number has literally skyrocketed, right?

I mean, it's just a fact; There have been so many margin positions. From 635 billion, the amount doubled in just 3 years, and this just goes to show how much leverage and margin people are willing to take to inflate their portfolios and take advantage of market momentum and profits. But ultimately, of course, what happens is this: when the market starts selling off, if that's what's happening, we see the same acceleration of the downward movement, right?

A bunch of margin calls, many portfolios are being destroyed ; this further accelerates the fall in markets. And this is something we have n't discussed in our previous reviews. Here's what happened in South Korea: the KOSPI index fell 30-40% from historical highs, all due to accelerated sell-offs due to margin calls and account liquidations.

I mean, you know, 3-4% of the adult population got margin calls, and over 360,000 accounts were wiped out. Over a million people received margin calls. So this is a crazy statistic when the markets really start selling off. And this is again a very important danger signal that I want to point out, because if the markets roll back, as they have in the last few weeks, we are now back at all-time highs, but that only accelerates the decline.

This only makes things worse because of the margin. So make sure you have enough capital. This is very, very important, and in fact I did a video or was going to do a tutorial on leverage as well, because leverage, when you look at debt, can be categorized into a few different types of debt. But when you look at margin debt that is backed by stock, the stock is collateral for the margin that you are borrowing.

This is a completely different kind of debt because it also has one of the highest interest rates, right? So, you pay 10 to 15% per annum for margin. And then you also provide collateral that is the most volatile and the most liquid, right? That means stocks , right? Stocks move every second; debt—no.

Therefore, the result is a constant change in your margin to equity ratio. One bad week, of course, can lead to a margin call, forcing you to sell at the worst possible time. So, you know, even a 20-30% drop can really wipe out accounts if you're using aggressive leverage, right? Here is an example of Leopold with an aggressive 4:1 leverage.

If you have $100,000 in equity and your margin is $400,000, then the total purchasing power is $500,000 at a 4:1 ratio. A 20% correction can evaporate all of your equity, leaving your portfolio completely in debt. Anything over 40% means you're in the red, right? That is, you actually owe money to the brokerage company.

And a 60% drop would, of course, be catastrophic. Therefore, both profits and losses are magnified by the leverage ratio. So you should always make sure you have sufficient capital. You must control the amount of leverage you take on. And that's not necessarily bad, but it's not necessarily good either.

It is just another tool available to us in the financial markets, just like any other type of debt. It all comes down to the person using it and how they do it. It is who uses margin and how it is used that determines whether it will be beneficial or harmful. It was probably a bad decision for Leopold, because he fell into the hands of someone who used it very aggressively.

Maybe it's a good decision if I make it, because I know what I'm doing, right? I understand how to use margin , how to not overdo it with leverage, maintain margin requirements, and carefully monitor these ratios. Plus, I buy stocks that aren't too volatile. Let's say I buy slightly higher quality, more stable assets for which I use margin.

And I'm going to use it when I need it least, not when I need it most. Yes? So, this is also of great importance. So the question is how you use it, what is the margin, how much do you borrow and for what. All of this is part of the overall debt picture. So, definitely, you know, use it wisely. Again, don't go crazy.

I wouldn't want to see anyone on this chart with a lot of margin debt. So, back to the markets, and again , before we go any further, don't forget to would like to join our Money Vest community. I'd be happy to help. Write to me at admin.com. So, looking at the S&P 500, we still have over $70 trillion in nominal value and $139 billion in outflows today. This is what the market picture looks like. Again, significant liquidity is flowing out of software and technology, including semiconductors, and back into Apple.

Health care. We also saw medical devices, Meta rising, consumer staples, and some stable stocks. Financial services were higher. But of course, energy because of oil prices, utilities, consumer cyclicals , communication services—Google here fell over 4%. So I might consider trading GGLL again. This could be a good opportunity for us to start working on this again.

Then we have Oracle, Palantir, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike. The entire software and semiconductor sector sold off heavily today. Energy and utilities also retreated. Money Vest Index—3.86. So, we are still in a state of optimism. We are down slightly from the 3.88 mark. The NASDAQ 100 also declined, although still in the optimism zone, very close to the neutral level— 3.52.

If you look at the score matrix, we are at 21.98. Just under 22 annualized earnings for the S&P 500. If you scroll down, this is the entire valuation matrix , based on 2026 earnings of $351 per share. We are currently just below 22 times earnings for the S&P 500. Here it is —the entire market panel, covering all the major upcoming events and all the important macroeconomic data .

So, there are more than 41 days left until the next FOMC meeting. The last decision was to pause at 3.75. Unemployment data will be released later this week. We will receive important unemployment figures on Friday. If we look at the most influential factors, here's what we pay attention to. On Friday, August 7, at 8:30 a.m.

Eastern Time, data on the number of new jobs in the nonfarm sector will be published. Volatility here continues to decline. We are at the 37th percentile, the index has fallen below 4%, and the VIX index is trading below 16. The reporting calendar is still ongoing. Nvidia has yet to report. Sandis reported exceeding expectations on both metrics.

Eli Lily also performed better than expected on both metrics. Additionally, Disney reported earnings above expectations but slightly behind revenue, and Noah Nordes delivered above- forecast results for its stock and the company as a whole. So, moving on to the S&P index, we see a slight pullback, of course, for quite logical reasons.

We are now at historic highs. In fact, the index reached a historic peak of almost 7,800 points. Very strong support for the S&P 500 will remain at around 7,600 points and up to 7,250 points. So these are the levels to watch for the S&P 500 in the near future. The NASDAQ also pulls back after this breakout, which is quite normal.

An important support level now remains at 26,270 for the NASDAQ index. So resistance for NASDAQ will remain around 27,200. The past resistance level acts as a new resistance level. This is a historic high. And of course, we have very strong support at around 26,200. Moving on to Apple. Apple is rising again after a price gap down after the publication of the report .

We are seeing a small boost as liquidity returns to safer assets. Again, we see resistance for Apple at the 316-317 level, as well as very strong support at the 288-289 level. Moving on to Amazon, the company's shares are trading a little more aggressively. We saw a huge price gap up after the reporting.

This is a significant gap that will also close over time , but Amazon fell more than 1.7% today. The support level for Amazon remains at 257-258, and it will now turn into resistance for further stock movement. So, we have several resistance levels to watch. Again , resistance is at the 286-287 level.

Another resistance level at 275 with very strong support for Amazon at 257. Tesla is starting to pull back a bit. Resistance will remain at 336-337. We have very strong support at the 297–298 level . Tesla also has a small gap that needs to be closed. My resistance levels remain in the range of 337 to 338.

And of course, the support level is below $300 for Tesla going forward. Nvidia has made a very good breakthrough. The support level will now remain at 213–214, and resistance for Nvidia will be up to 237–238. Again, we have very strong support at 212-213 and down to 192 for Nvidia going forward. Again , all of these stocks are part of the shopping list.

So, again , you can review your purchase goals. You can check the fair value and see exactly where I plan to add these companies to my shopping list, which, by the way, is available on the Money Vest website. And we will update it after this reporting season. For Advanced Micro Devices, we see support at 422 with resistance all the way up to 581.

So, again , there is continued consolidation within this range for AMD. The support level is at 422. Again , Advanced Micro Devices is characterized by trading in a limited range. Broadcom also made a breakthrough yesterday. Support levels will remain at $44–45, with resistance all the way up to $437 for Broadcom.

So, we have this support and here is the resistance level. And if the price starts to fall below 351, then the 350 level will become a support to watch for Broadcom going forward. Moving on to Meta: After the gap drop, it was the right decision to buy here at 520. The stock is up 13-14%, but is now struggling near resistance around 594-595, and again, we see a lot of sideways consolidation for Meta.

So, Meta is currently trading in a wide range, and in case of a breakout above, the next target for Meta will be 683–684. Of course , there is very strong support for Meta around 520. Netflix, on the other hand, is also moving higher, adding almost 1% today. Resistance will remain around $78-79 with very strong support at $71 and up to $65 for Netflix going forward, but still within the context of this downtrend.

So, the trend of lower highs and lows continues. We see a small upward movement . Again , the next target for Netflix would be $78. Google is down significantly, and again , GGLL will be very interesting today or later this week as I plan to re-open a new position. We will start trading this and the support level will be around $100 for GGLL and all the way down to $90 and for Google the support will be at $ 349 then $334 and $318.

So, you have three levels of support to keep an eye on for Google. Microsoft is also getting rejected here at this resistance level. It is also very overbought right now. So the RSI indicator is pointing upwards. MACD too. The support level will remain around 466–467. If we get a breakout below this, the next support within this gap will be at $409–$410 for Microsoft going forward.

And finally, we move on to Palantir and SoFi. Palantir also gets rejected after this huge breakthrough. Again, we are very overbought and overextended right now. Resistance for Palantir is at 162–163, and support will almost certainly remain around 120 for Palantir. Finally moving on to SoFi, which is also confirming at this support at $15-16 per share, with resistance all the way up to $19-20 for SoFi.

Again, we are seeing significant sideways consolidation for SoFi. So, that's it . This is a complete update on the market. Again, . You get access to all the benefits, all the training materials and downloadable spreadsheets. Here are 500 valued stocks to buy in August 2026 —a video I made about a week ago.
