버크셔의 주요 보유 종목은 IBM(약 120억 달러, 약 20억 달러 추가 매수), 크래프트 하인즈, 웰스파고, 코크 등이다.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire hathway has taken in a $1 billion stake in apple according to a regulatory filing report released today Berkshire held almost 10 million shares of Apple in its first quarter the company is possibly betting that the tech giant will rebound after a Slowdown in iPhone sales Jill slesinger is here with more on the Billionaire's latest bet on Tech good to see you great to be here all right so how unusual or not is Buffett's buying into Apple you remember years ago he's like I don't know anything about technology I don't want to do anything I just know I just know razors and Coke yeah exactly I like the big consumer Brands American Express also so there was an investment that Buffett made in IBM uh back 2011 and I think this was sort of the first forway foray into established technology and I think this is really a classic Buffet bet on a value proposition right the market is basically said Apple we think Innovation is dead there they've shaved off about a third of the value since the peak last summer a lot of scuttlebutt and this is a moment where Warren Buffett walks in and says really they got $200 billion dollars over season piles of cash they'll figure it out he thinks he's buying value and that's the I mean I think a lot of people don't associate tech companies that have been growth stocks for so many years which Apple has been with now being a value play there are now reports obviously people are going to start doing what Warren Buffett does because they think he's some kind of a genius which he probably is um is that a good play for individual investors who may not have the same time frame that Warren Buffett has yeah Warren Buffett has a 100-year time frame do you I mean do you really so I mean if you like to buy individual stocks okay and you really think that this is a fun bet longterm to make sure I'm not an individual stock picker I'd also like to remind you that probably every single one of us owns Apple in some of the mutual funds that are out there the entire technology sector gotten knocked down so if you want to make a value play and put a little bit extra into technology okay but the reality is do we think Apple's going away no can it sustain the growth that we've seen over the last 15 years and the next 15 years I don't know and nobody knows this is just the crapshoot that Warren Buffett's taking I think he's pretty smart though he's also saying they're sitting on all this cash they made a deal in a Chinese ride sharing company on Friday these kinds of Partnerships are going to be integral to seeing whether Apple can grow maybe not organically but semi- organically right there this other interesting move that Berkshire haway is making they're offering to back a bid to buy Yahoo what's the strategy there I mean that could be the ultimate value company um so this looks like uh Buffett and bur Shear backing the person who started quicking loans and a group there uh to take a piece of Yahoo now look this is not a done deal Verizon is said to be very close there are some private Equity companies that are close to this this would be a really out there bet I think for Buffett and I think that this would really be a moment where the folks at Yahoo are going to have to decide which way are we going are we going to try to get a Content partner or money partner if it's a money partner it's Buffett along with a bunch of other private Equity folks who will be in the ring I don't know how this goes down I think that still think that Verizon is still the lead Contender to buy those assets from Yahoo yeah uh in this regulatory filing was there any other interesting tidbit that we can glean from the guru of well uh you know it's interesting the IBM bet got a little bit bigger added about $2 billion to that position so it's a 12 billion position the four largest Holdings of birkshire hathway are IBM uh craft Hines Wells Fargo and Koch also made a really interesting play in the energy sector Philip 66 one of the big Holdings uh increased that position by 23% now that's a $6.5 billion do BET right now for Berkshire haway way I think that Mr Buffett is basically saying what he's been saying to the public this economy is not dead we are not going into recession things are growing demand for oil and Energy Products will pick up I think he's put his money where his mouth is in that bet particularly it's interesting as well Joe that you know many people love to listen to Warren Buffett but they tend to focus on his individual picks and not his overall strategy as you just yeah I mean look the strategy is a fascinating one which is um you know the the classic investment by low sell high and when everyone else is afraid that's when you've got to be bold and everyone right now is afraid of Apple I can't tell you how many emails I'm getting from people and calls them to my radio show should I sell my Apple stock you didn't want to sell it at 130 now you want to sell it at 90 I mean come on guys so if you're going to be in it you're going to be in it for the long term he is the consumate long-term value investor Jill singer thank you very much for stopping by great to be here
