The first story, Tom, that I want to discuss is the story of SpaceX. So, Elon is trying to do more than just eliminate " dead zones." He is literally trying to become your communications operator. And when they made that announcement, I'll tell you how scared Verizon was. Verizon shares fell 7.3% . AT&T fell 7.8%.
T-Mobile fell 7%. It agreed to buy the nationwide 800 MHz low-frequency spectrum for about $8 billion from Grain Management. This deal gives SpaceX up to 14 MHz of paired spectrum in addition to previous acquisitions, including nearly $19.6 billion related to the EchoStar spectrum purchase. SpaceX also received FCC approval to deploy a constellation of 15,000 second-generation Starlink mobile satellites.
So what does all this mean? This is not a phone company. They have not yet announced that they will create their own "Tesla phone" that will compete with the iPhone, Android, or other smartphones on the market. This is a service. So he starts with service. Have you ever been on a road—I don't know if you've ever been on a road before—and you hit a pothole?
Every time I drive to Palm Beach and pass Boca, right between Boca and Boone, the AT&T connection is bad for about five minutes. Or when I fly to Los Angeles and drive on Highway 210, or in certain areas of Dallas—there's no normal connection there either. Well, with this Starlink we are flying in an airplane.
I'm on a plane. We fly from here to Vegas, we talk on the phone. We are holding Zoom calls. The internet is simply incredible. And we ask, "So what the hell is going on with this plane?" Starlink. Now, when you fly on an airplane, they say, " Well, excuse me." The internet is bad. And when they say that the quality of Starlink is excellent.
By the way, Xfinity cable TV and internet are complete crap right now . Starlink will come and say, "Don't worry about these guys." They are going to capture many different markets. In particular, companies like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are trembling at what Starlink and SpaceX could become. So, Tom, how much should they worry?
Well, they should be very worried, and I'll tell you the words that prove it. So, Elon Musk is going to take Starlink, launch it to the ground, and provide internet services. This is not exactly news, because you remember, a certain country, Zelensky, begged for Starlink to provide internet for its people and its military.
So, it went like that. But here's what scared everyone. What you just read about is a spectrum deal . Exactly as you said. And these words : this will be combined with advanced ground deployment. Advanced ground. Do you know what " ground" means, Vinnie? Earthly. So this will be connected to the advanced terrestrial deployment, which means it's not just Starlink, it's also a terrestrial network with all the billions of dollars that it has , and with the old T-Mobile spectrum.
When these words about T-Mobile spectrum and the combination with advanced terrestrial deployment were uttered, this is what happened: Grain's legal counsel got scared and said, " Wait, this service will reach customers from both space and Earth ." In other words, if there are "dead zones," such as you're too deep in a building for external Starlink, don't worry, they'll supplement that too.
So when you combine those two things , Pat, that's what scared all these stocks . Everyone says: " Wait." He won't just cover everything with a coating from space. It will fill the gaps in big cities and concrete buildings on the Earth side . And he does this using spectrum. When both of those things came out, boom, all the futures, what you saw, stocks went down, they only went down 7%.
Why didn't they fall more, Vinnie? Because every stock has a value today , based on your business and how valuable you are today, and speculation on the future. That's when you'll see Jensen Huang say he'll sell another 9,000 Google chips. Nvidia shares are jumping. Yes, this money hasn't arrived at the bank yet.
They are talking about selling in the future. But you know what? Nvidia shares are rising on future speculation and future business. You know what? Verizon and these guys, that 7% that just fell, that's part of their future business. And the question will be how quickly Elon can do it . But you know what?
Elon Musk just became a combination of Thomas Edison and EF Hutton. Remember EF Hutton ? When EF Hutton speaks, people listen. Remember that old thing? Of course. Yes. So he's like Thomas Edison and EF Hutton. Well, I'll tell you what. Here is the question. Can we do a survey? Here is a question I have for you, friends.
If you know of any "dead zones " you encounter on AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile, please write in the comments if you know these zones and where you have poor connectivity. Name the areas where you have poor connectivity and which operator you are using. Well, it's not that bad here, but for example, my sister drives the 405 to LAX because she works in the Space Force.
Pete, there's a stretch of road where it's not a bridge either. She is not going over a bridge or through a tunnel. No, it's on the 405th off the 101st. Completely disappears. And then, when they come up the hill ...Who's her cameraman? I don't text her when she's driving. And do you have any "dead zones" that you drive through here in South Florida?
Yes. Always around Hollywood, near the airport. Near the airport. Do you often encounter this? And you use AT&T. I'm on AT&T too. Absolutely. When I go out into the backyard to talk to you, you say, " Tom, I can't hear you." " Tom, what's going on ?" Oho. Right there. And then I always reply, "Sorry, Pete." I go back to the front of the house, the back , everywhere like that.
Coral Ridge from behind. So, if you knew that 100% of these “dead zones ” would disappear, would you switch to Starlink? I would paint my roof for Elon, I would start right here. Are you sarcastic or serious? I am completely serious. I would start here. This is such a big problem for you that when you are a businessman or a salesperson, talking to a client, trying to make a deal, there is nothing worse than having a call break when you are right next to your house and the business person is on the phone the whole time.
Not if you're a social media person, but for a businessman who's constantly on the phone, this is a real problem. Can we do a survey? Here is the survey. If Starlink eliminated 100% of “ dead zones,” would you switch from AT&T, Verizon, or your carrier to Starlink? Yes. No. I'm just curious what people will say.
My sister...My sister is on AT&T. She's on AT&T too. I use AT&T. I switched from AT&T to Verizon for two weeks. Do you know why I went back to AT&T? Through one function. Verizon only allowed conference calls with two people. Of course. And AT&T lets me make conference calls with five, six, seven people.
And by the way, AT&T has been messing up their conference calling lately. Things have been pretty bad lately, but something tells me that AT&T conference calls are still working at Cornell. Let me ask you, Matt. So, we are always learning. Tom still loves it. So, okay. So, of course, that's one of the reasons.
You remember, I think, a month or two ago I asked: "Dude, Elon launches something every week, and you don't even pay attention." They launch and launch, every day. That's probably one reason, obviously, but my question is: What are the competitors doing, what is AT&T doing? Because think about how their companions end up there, Pat?
Does this go through our government? Who launches satellites for AT&T, Verizon, you know, Sprint? Who puts all their stuff into orbit, Tom? Is this a deal with NASA? How do they launch? How, how do they get their equipment there, and how do they do it? SpaceX is getting it out there. No, I mean, how do other operators do it, do they have to go to NASA or someone else?
No, no, no. The other operators now are terrestrial networks. Of course. So, they're not even there in orbit. These are all triangular networks. Of course. So, they're not even there. So he, he... Yes, there, there, of course, there was something. Intelsat had something there. There were some services there, but they were mostly emergency services or marine services.
Of course. If you've ever looked at a satellite phone , hey guys, look at this one thing. Just search for " satellite phone 2025" and you'll see that it's a square phone with a large antenna. It works great in emergency situations. It is very expensive. Satellite phones and...yes. See? Yes. They are very expensive to use, but they are great if you are at sea and have an emergency .
Well, now he's like, "Yeah, don't worry about it. Let's just simplify it." Dude, you're going to be on a plane. You will be able to call. I mean, this is for business people. This is incredible. So let me ask you a question. As competitors, as other guys, what do you do to compete with them? As? As?
It's too late. OK. That's exactly what I wanted to say. So the only thing, the only thing is that people don't like change, and there's a certain age when you don't want to change products anymore because it's a habit. You need time to let go of certain things. There are people who still receive paper newspapers.
Their age does not start at two. No, it doesn't start. But their age can start at six. Okay. So, there are certain people who have been with AT&T or Verizon for a long time and they won't switch. I'm not talking about Tom. This is n't about Tom, because Tom is a tech guy. He will move on to anyone who does.
So then that becomes the next question. The next question is this. Sequence. Elon is completely focused on consistency. First, place the chargers everywhere. Yes. And then know that all your competitors have to use your chargers. Charging. And then you know, hey, whatever. Pay. You know you'll need me.
They made deals with all of them. And they even changed their connectors to work with it. So, here's the question. What is the probability, Tom, that the sequence will first beat AT&T, beat Verizon, beat those guys, secondly, release a Tesla phone? What is the probability that he will release a Tesla phone ?
Extremely high. There was a number, uh, I think it 's 70% and it's growing every minute, because if you look, there was a Tesla prototype or a prototype X, and I think you guys will find it , guys. Guys, Tom, keep talking. and it will look great, they made their prototypes, and people saw it, there was the Tesla phone, and there was so do you think, 70%, that they will release something?
I don't think this is a teaser, I think it's already in development. So you know what it means, you know who it's inconvenient for. Yeah, it's, I think, it's not just you know who it's uncomfortable for. one company. No, you're close, one company, it's embarrassing for Apple, so what Apple is doing, it's Apple that could do it.
They didn't do it . Apple stayed on the phone side. And the Apple flywheel, if you think about the flywheel, Elon is expanding his flywheel. What does he do with the flywheel? Buy a Tesla, buy Starlink, buy a phone. The phone interacts with the car. He's going to add his flywheel and expand it, where someone who owns a Tesla , like yesterday I'm talking to a customer, Matt Matthew, and the whole time he's talking, it's a two-hour meeting with this customer that I met through MCT.
He, I think, is going to sell his business for billions of dollars. Our client, for whom we have been working for some time, is very successful. And he's talking to me, sitting like this, and for about the first minute I'm like, what is he doing? I see trees moving, everything is moving. I said, are you in Uber?
He says no. I said, "Are you at Tesla?" The car is moving. He says, "Yes." I said, "You're in the driver's seat." He says, "Yes." For two hours he's been in the driver's seat like this. He just talks to it and the car moves by itself. Oh, he's on full autopilot. He is on full autopilot. So what Elon is doing is he's building a complete flywheel that will make people unable to leave Tesla or make them buy this phone if they go over and do what we think is about to be done.
Adam, what are your thoughts? I was actually just going to jump into this flywheel thread because I want to express my gratitude to BDC. You've been talking about the flywheel concept for several years now. One of the articles talks about Elon's flywheel. And Umberto, I sent you this if you're with us.
It says this move with SpaceX could potentially fuel its flywheel between launch, Starlink, and AI. And that's what I asked the AI to basically build. This is Elon's flywheel, it seems, where SpaceX launches rockets. Starlink has satellite internet. This mobile company you're talking about, the probability of it being created is quite high at this point.
It connects phones with AI, or as they call it now SI, with intelligence, and that leads to revenue and scale , and then it all comes back around. This flywheel concept, you've been talking about it for years. It seems like Elon is implementing what you were talking about. By the way, the survey shows: if Starlink eliminated 100% of " dead zones", would you switch to it?
86% said "yes ". And the 14% who said "no" are the same people who want to preserve Social Security. These...these ...are the people who will want to cross over. It won't just give you better service. This guy is creative enough to figure out what to do next. By the way, for those of you watching this, if you consider yourself a businessman and moving forward in this day and age, but don't have a "moat" around your company, you are making a huge mistake, because the market is very competitive and changing very quickly.
If you run a business, you need to know how to define the “moat” for your business and create your own flywheel. We make money by working with business owners around the world: go to beddavid.com, fill out the form, schedule an appointment with one of our consultants, call us, and we will conduct a strategy session with you.
We do this regularly. But the point is, what next? That's all I wanted to ask. What's next for this guy? Okay, what next? This guy is building something so massive that everyone...I'm talking to the chief of staff of a world leader who is currently in the middle of a war. And one of their main concerns is relations with Iran, not with Trump, because as that guy described it : "We know Trump will only be here for two years." "We know that Elon will be a problem for the next 20-30 years." " So we better understand each other." So, it almost becomes...
I hate to say it, and you have to be careful, it can get very nasty, very unpleasant. I said this two years ago, you know, depending on where his core is, because that core is— he is slowly becoming a world leader above all presidents. You have no choice. They have to go to him. He doesn't need to go to them.
So forget about "Hey , I'm the 42nd President of the United States." It sounds like, "Okay, you all report to me, and you all need what I offer because I do a better job than the government." If he builds it to that level, listen, that's a whole different direction things could go. If the guy has some evil intentions inside, yeah, well, you know what I mean?
But, but thanks, but honestly, at this point I like that he's at least leaning towards conservative thinking about all this "wok" nonsense, especially after what happened to his son/daughter now. And, and look at the flywheel, I just did it, are you ready? Rockets, SpaceX, Boring Company, drilling everything, uh, Neuralink, Tesla, cell phones in the future, robots, X , Twitter became X.
It literally takes over everything. And, and I'm telling you right now, if he changes course, Tom, if he gets angry, it could get very, very nasty. Very quickly. You know, you mentioned Apple. There is something very interesting here. Uh, Vision Pro is their mixed reality headset. Well, you know, like kids, games, and you and I can go on Facebook with all this crap, right?
Do you know what the last major product category was before this? Because this is a new category. They had never done this before . It was AirPods. Do you know what year AirPods were? I mean, that was at least five years ago. At least . 2000-no. You are right. 2016. This was 10, 10 years ago. And before that, there was the Apple Watch in 2015.
Things aren't looking good at Apple right now . So this is the same moment you were talking about, Pete. 2015— watch, 2016—AirPods, then 2024—Vision Pro, and now 2026, next year they will release the Home Hub. Okay, fine. But this can hardly be called a large category. You know, you know that I'm currently talking to several publishers about writing a book specifically about the flywheel.
We talked about it because I talked about it on Vault. I don't know, two or three years ago. Yes. We indirectly built a flywheel in PHP. We created a flywheel where ultimately you're like: hey, you can leave, but good luck reaching a format like ours. It's not easy to create, but you, you, you know, you want to be able to do it.
Hmm, I think right now , if you were to rate the most powerful flywheel in the world, I would still put Apple first. I would put Amazon second , okay? Because they have them . But I'm telling you, very quickly Elon's flywheel can overtake everyone else very quickly. And some might even put him ahead of Bezos' Amazon as the flywheel.
This may change. Why? What kind of flywheel does Jeff Bezos have? He has a huge flywheel of what Amazon does. And he also has servers on the other side, well, AWS, you know, he has so much going on. But Disney had a great flywheel, they were in the top 10. In recent years, they have been ruining everything.
I hope new When did you learn about the concept of the flywheel? Well, because I didn't hear you talk about it 25 years ago when I was selling insurance. One of my managers told me: you know, you need to create centers of influence. And I'm like: centers of influence? He says: yes. Then I asked: centers of influence?
What does this really mean? So, you're trying to sell insurance. I am 23 years old. I developed a relationship with a guy named Jamie Geb. I was interviewed by him when I was 21. He'll probably watch it, and I was so impressed with him. I didn't want to work for his company. I was leaving with Morgans.
I was going with "Wellis," and he was one of the people I interviewed. I liked him. And so, you know, I sat down and said to myself: I need to build relationships that will give me leads. Mm. So I went and built 25 relationships with professionals who I knew would never become insurance agents, but they were great relationships.
One guy was named Eli Duffysh, the other was Jamie G. There were about 25 of them . And every quarter I took each of them to lunch. I invited them and paid the bill myself, because I am honored that you give me your time. I always gave them a book and asked for nothing in return. I said, “How can I help you?” How can I help?
What do you need from me? In the end, not all of them did anything for me , but some said, "It would be good for you to talk to this guy." "It would be good for you to talk to that guy." Eli Duffysh gave me 600 names. One of the names he gave led to another guy, that guy to the next guy, and that led to me making $50 million through the contact he led me to.
Jamie introduced me to a guy who would later become my branch manager and compliance officer for six or seven years. And he was phenomenal at his job. So that became a flywheel: I knew that every month someone would give me a good tip or recommendation that would grow into something more. Dudley, he needed something from me.
Dudley introduced me to Tom Ellsworth, and I don't meet Tom Ellsworth. Life would be much calmer. But he introduced, he introduced me to Tom Ellsworth, and he wouldn't be that rich, let's respect money. Introduced me to Matt Sapala. Tom is now one of my three best friends in the world. True. Thanks to Dudley.
But these are the same relationships you build. And that was a small flywheel for an insurance agent. I am nobody. I'm just trying to build. Did you call it a flywheel then? When did you learn the word " flywheel"? Probably in the last 15 years, 10 years. It's not like But I haven't heard you use the word "flywheel" before Adam, you haven't heard me use a lot of other words, you know.
But I saw, I saw " goulination". But I have heard many words from you . This "dalination" will never go away. But it was one of those things we did. And yes, when I tell you it's going to go , it's going to go, because it comes with a certificate of authenticity and a holographic sticker that says it's a limited edition.
And there are only a hundred of them. Several different types of coins that we issued for the 250th anniversary that we are celebrating. I have a coin collection at home . Bitcoin collection. And I've been buying coins for many, many years. I just put them away and kept them. And somehow, years later, I find that their value has increased 100 times or something.
But I want you to watch this video, and if you're someone who collects unique things, this might be something you should buy, put away, put in a safe, and not think about for a decade or two. Action. Some moments in history happen only once, and some are worth preserving forever. In honor of America's 250th anniversary, Future Looks Bright presents a collection designed to be a part of history.
One troy ounce of 999 fine silver. Individually numbered, only 100 pieces produced. A limited souvenir for those who value history, collectability and the significance of the moment. Be a part of America's 250th anniversary. Because the future looks bright. Oh yes. So, to get them, let me add a link below if you can, because there are different types of coins.
Umberto, if you can go to flb.com, you can order both. So when you go to FLB.com, be sure to go to the coin section, and that's where you'll find the coins. Order them . You will see them. For those of you watching this and didn't manage to buy them, you'll have to look for them on eBay because they sell out pretty quickly , since they're limited edition, and they come in a case like this, numbered with a hologram.
And again , this is something you buy, put away, and, uh, keep for yourself. Once again, go to fob.com, search for the word coin, and you will find the coin. If you want to add anything else to this, you can do so. OK. If you liked this video and want to watch more videos like this, .
