The next World Cup is the 2026 CONCACAF World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Looking ahead to 2024 and 2025, one or two years before the World Cup, it is expected that massive investment capital will flow into the US stock market where we are currently investing. Then, naturally, US companies or...
Hello, this is Noblesse. The national soccer team played a friendly match the other day. We played against El Salvador, and unfortunately, it ended in a 1-1 draw. Although I currently live the life of an educator, as a former professional soccer player, I enjoy watching soccer matches both domestically and internationally.
Today, I would like to explain the stock market we invest in by drawing a parallel to soccer. I will be discussing the mental aspects and mindset, so I would appreciate it if you would listen carefully. Now, among our national soccer team players, there is one who has been the hottest lately. It is none other than Cho Kyu-sung, who scored two header goals against Ghana during the 2022 Qatar World Cup last year.
I believe that soccer and stocks are somewhat similar in certain aspects. It is said that Cho Kyu-sung's market value has risen significantly compared to before the World Cup. Now, even his Instagram followers before the World Cup... It is said that the number surged from about 30,000 to around 2.5 million immediately after the World Cup ended.
In just a few days, his market value completely skyrocketed. You can simply consider it a massive surge. Indeed, it seems life is all about one big shot. However, you must truly understand this statement. What I am trying to convey is that life is not about a single big shot, or that it is all about luck, or that you must aim for that one drop of a jackpot.
Rather, I am saying that we should not just look at the external aspects or the surface of that "one shot" in life, but look closely at the hidden inner workings that are not visible on the outside. Let's think about this carefully. Player Cho Ki-sung did not suddenly develop skills he had absolutely nothing for all at once during the World Cup.
They were merely revealed through luck during the World Cup and the matches. It was a combination of the opportunity to participate in the World Cup and the luck of being able to score that dramatic goal while his team was losing. Now, if a player had absolutely no skill, how could they have made it onto the 23-man roster to represent the country and how could they have appeared in such a major tournament as the World Cup?
If a player is on the national team roster and capable of participating in a big match like the World Cup, it is correct to assume that their skills have already been sufficiently proven. And on that big stage of the World Cup... If he is capable of scoring goals, it clearly means he has the skill. Of course, luck played a part, but looking at his positioning to receive Lee Kang-in's cross, his physical strength, heading ability, and finishing power, it is undeniable proof of his ability.
And no matter how lucky he was, I believe that scoring two goals in the World Cup, a global tournament where the world's top players gather, is something not just anyone can do. However, ironically, having the skill doesn't guarantee that you will score goals. So, the factual message I want to share with you today is that there is a right time for everything.
Honestly, many ordinary people probably didn't know Cho Kyu-sung before the World Cup. Of course, former soccer players and fans like me would have known him, but there were quite a few people around me who didn't know him before the tournament. As such, if a prepared person seizes the right moment and opportunity arises, they can hit the jackpot at any time.
Now, let me use the stock market as an analogy. It applies to the stocks we invest in—the NASDAQ 100, Apple, Tesla, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and so on. If you own good stocks, you just need to patiently wait for that opportune moment. We, too... You just need to wait for the moment when the stock explodes, just like Nvidia recently.
Last year, when Nvidia plummeted massively, there was a flood of extremely pessimistic news regarding the stock. But what is the situation now? It is a stock that has shown tremendous performance as an AI beneficiary and was the first to break through its previous high. Those who waited for this good time and patiently scooped up at low prices have likely reaped huge profits by now.
It is about mindset. Those who studied and were prepared seized that opportunity. You and I should not leave the stock market during a market of fear or a bear market; instead, we must always prepare and wait for stock prices to rise. I believe that failing to prepare is the same as preparing for failure.
While stock prices may rise little by little every day, the stock market is also characterized by sudden surges in a short period—like Nvidia—that are impossible to keep up with. We have experienced such situations since the beginning of this year. It has been rising tremendously from January until now.
This is the most fundamental nature of the stock market. If stocks only rose a little bit every day, who would leave the market? You might suffer losses all year and then instantly turn positive in just two weeks. And especially for 3x leverage stocks like TQ... This is a stock that can easily rise two or three times in a month.
Therefore, do not sell off based on trivial news or negative pessimism; if you hold good stocks, you just need to patiently wait for that moment. When we look at player Cho Kyu-sung, we think he became a sudden star overnight, but it is said that he was a diligent and conscientious athlete who worked two or three times harder than others in college, did individual training every day, and always arrived at the training ground earlier than others to prepare and stayed until the very end to train.
This is a story I heard directly through my friendship with Cho Kyu-sung's mentor, the head coach at Gwangju University. While you cannot simply compare stocks and soccer, it means that a day will come when our stocks suddenly skyrocket as well. For those who are prepared, a single opportunity like this changes their lives.
Now that stock prices have risen so much this year, what are your thoughts? The major bear market that began last year and the year before— that dreadful period of sideways movement—was actually a golden opportunity to become rich. It means it was a bargain sale period where you could make a fortune.
After a long period of sideways movement, it suddenly skyrocketed, and... The US stock market trends upward by repeating cycles of consolidating for a long time and then suddenly skyrocketing. Now, unlike in the past, baseball player Jo Gi-seong has become so famous that it is likely difficult to get his autograph.
Those who wanted an autograph should have gotten one before he became famous. Stocks are the same. Once a price has skyrocketed, the cost becomes burdensome, so you probably won't be able to readily press the buy button. It is simply too expensive. So, when should you buy stocks? That is correct. You should always buy a lot of stocks when they are cheap.
This means the optimal time to buy stocks is when they are relatively undervalued—when prices are low like now, when they have fallen due to a lot of bad news, when the market has just begun to turn its head into a bull market, or when no one expects a recession. However, ordinary retail investors do the opposite.
When stock prices are battered and have hit rock bottom, when the market is flooded with all kinds of fear, bad news, and pessimism, they do not buy; instead, they sell and leave the market. As a result, when they encounter a surging market, they fail to chase the rally and end up suffering from Tomo Syndrome.
Social media... You may often find yourself feeling envious and falling behind as you see others seemingly doing well, traveling, and making a lot of money through stocks and real estate. However, there is absolutely no need for that. We tend to think that all flowers bloom in the spring. We think this way while picturing the new sprouts raising their heads after enduring and overcoming the cold winter.
It is also easy to think of cherry blossoms, forsythias, and plum blossoms in the spring. However, not all flowers bloom in the spring. Sunflowers bloom in the summer, cosmos and pink muhly in the autumn, and camellias in the winter. Just as every flower has a different peak and blooming season, our lives are the same.
No one knows when our potential will explode or when we will reach our prime, like athlete Cho Kyu-sung. Therefore, we must silently do our best every day, prepare, and patiently wait for our time to come. The same applies to the stocks we hold. Instead of wasting your emotions worrying that only Nvidia is rising or wondering when your stocks will reach their peak, you should increase your quantity when you can buy more at a lower price.
We just need to prepare and wait for that bull market—that super-rise that is damp. The bull market we imagine will surely come. John Templen once said, "The best time to buy is when the market is bleeding, even if it is your own blood." I hope we all engrave this great quote in our hearts, keep it in mind, and hold onto good stocks for a long time with a heavy bottom to make big money and do many good deeds.
While waiting for the day to skyrocket even further, I will be cheering for you to spend each day happily. Oh, and speaking of the World Cup, the next one is the 2026 CONCACAF World Cup. It will be held in the US, Canada, and Mexico. It is expected that massive investment capital will flow into the US stock market where we are currently investing in 2024 and 2025, one or two years before the World Cup.
Naturally, this will lead to growth in US companies or in every sector, and as money flows in, it will have a positive impact on our stock market through favorable news. You probably remember how our country experienced tremendous growth and development in stocks, real estate, and the economy after the 1988 Olympics.
Until then, we just need to buy up a lot of good stocks. So. Let's cheer for our national team to do well at the 2026 CONCACAF World Cup, and let's also look forward to the US stock market where we are investing. Well then, I will wrap up today's video. If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe and like.
I sincerely hope to continue achieving successful investments with all of you. I will be cheering for you. Thank you.
