Now, the question in the title is what you all want to know: where is Warren Buffett investing? There was a recent interview, and I could clearly understand that Berkshire Hathaway is not even looking at any new investment right now. Listen carefully, this will be a lifelong lesson for you. That is my promise.
Right now he is not even looking at any investment. Let me tell you that Berkshire is among the biggest investment holdings in the world, with assets worth roughly 125 billion dollars. Even so, he has not made any new investment. On the contrary, if you have been following closely, a few days ago he had a position in the aviation sector, and he has cut that position too.
In that interview, Charlie Munger said something worth understanding. Let me put it in simple terms, without going into the entire history and geography. He made it clear that this situation is not one that anyone can fully understand, and he said so plainly. Therefore, instead of rushing into anything, they are preserving their liquidity so that they do not regret it later. When people like them say that such a situation cannot be understood by anyone, then how can anyone else claim to understand it?
One of the best points I found, which I always talk about in my videos, is this. Nobody knows exactly how life will be after the pandemic. Only ideas are being put forward: what kind of setup there will be, cars running on roads, buses and trains running. What will exactly happen, nobody is telling. Things will not fall into place according to anyone's prediction, so this is not the time to do anything except stay where you are.
Munger said you should listen to this line very carefully. Think about the education you received or the education your parents and grandparents got. Will this course continue like this, or when a new syllabus comes, how will it be taught and who will study it?
