01. Hello everyone, welcome to the Curious Plankton channel. So, as usual, a market review and a news review. I received one or two messages regarding the sound, so feel free to give me feedback. I'll do my best to improve the sound quality. Okay, enough of that. So, regarding the market, there's not much to say.

02. We're seeing a slight correction in the Alps. Bitcoin, well, it's not very telling. Yesterday we were around 30.5 when I made the video. We're stretched to 32, we're at 38. Well, nothing to say about that, clearly it's sluggish. 13 billion in volume, 6 billion on Ethereum, it's light. There's not much to say.

03. We'll come back to these volumes with a couple of interesting pieces of information. Anyway, we'll continue. You certainly saw the news last night, the one that certainly led to this little awakening in Bitcoin since mid- afternoon. It's simply Mr. Racing, the CEO of BlackRock, which basically tells us it likes Bitcoin, meaning that after criticizing it, etc., it submitted its TFI application a while agoโ€”we know this, we've been talking about it every day for the past two weeksโ€”it still hasn't been approved, by the way.

04. And it was announced on a channel, I don't remember if it's highlighted here, but it doesn't matter. Basically, it tells us, in true BlackRock fashion, that Bitcoin is really great, their digital technology, the potential future of finance, a hedge against inflation that protects against the devaluation of your currency.

05. In concrete terms, it's an advantage that people can use, a real alternative. So obviously, when you have a product to sell in this area, you're going to sing its praises, the pinnacle. Very good, positive. Is that really what they think, and will it go further, or is it just to sell their ETF? I don't know.

06. In any case, it's positive, it's good to see. I think the reaction to Bitcoin is positive. It's not incredible either, meaning it didn't reach 35,000 or higher, remaining below 31, so it's not exactly mind- blowing. But still, it was the big news that's encouraging and leaves a significant window of opportunity for Bitcoin and potentially for other cryptocurrencies in the long term.

07. So we'll take it and continue with Bitcoin here. We're told that, according to Goldman Sachs, crypto exchanges are actually short of cash. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but in fact, liquidity on crypto exchanges is decreasing, particularly for Bitcoin. This means that people who buy Bitcoin tend to send it either to decentralized exchanges or to their private key, and ultimately there's less and less liquidity on exchanges.

08. I think it's another 4% decrease in June, so it might not seem like much, but in reality, the decline has been observed since 2020. As a result, the price of Bitcoin is holding steady, meaning that people are less inclined to sell, and I think... Many people are thinking, "Okay, I'll buy some now and sell them later, in 5 or 10 years." I get the impression that this is pretty much the trend, plus institutional investors, of course, who wanted to acquire some following requests from EDF (the French electricity company).

09. So, we have a little list here from Coin Tribune of the five reasons, factors also related to Bitcoin, and this fits in a bit, so we'll take a look at that. So, you see, it starts right away: exchanges are emptying out. We're told 97,000 Bitcoins have left exchanges in the last 30 days, which is quite significant.

10. A good portion of these Bitcoins come from Binance and Cohen Beez, and obviously, two exchanges that are in conflict with the SEC, so it's a bit scary. Obviously, when you have liquidity, you might want to protect it, and that's been the case since 2020. Bitcoin liquidity on exchanges has been declining, and a million, a little over, BTC have left exchanges since then.

11. That's huge; you multiply that by... The price of Bitcoin over its lifetime has been between $15,000 and $60,000. That gives you a good idea, so it's worth between $15 million and $60 million depending on when you look at the Bitcoin price. That's quite significant in terms of volume, resulting in less trading, as I mentioned.

12. Consequently, the price is less likely to fall since it will be harder to sell and we'll be less tempted to do so. Then he talks about Bitcoin's dominance, which I won't go into again. Indeed, there's a current trend that we know very well: Bitcoin is attracting attention in the market, and ETFsโ€”that was a big news story this Juneโ€” could potentially drive the market upwards, but we don't have any certainty yet.

13. We have the Alvink deadline, which is in a year, so I don't think it's a major issue right now. And fair valueโ€”that's an interesting point that we've never really mentioned. I think the added value of this article compared to the rest is the fact that in America, currently, companies holding Bitcoin have to declare the price, or rather the losses, if the Bitcoin price falls.

14. However, this could change with certain reforms, and as a result, they might have access to another valuation method, to give value to their crypto assets, particularly Bitcoin, by basing it on a fair value price. So, if the price drops too much, they wouldn't have to say, "I lost this much," but rather the fair value price.

15. For example, I don't know, maybe 60,000 currently, or 30, but they wouldn't have to declare 30,000 in losses. They could say, "We have 60,000, but we're waiting for it to go back up to this price." This is quite important for companies, and for the article itself. Why a forum? It could influence the price.

16. Well, honestly, I don't know. I'd never seen that argument before, so it's interesting to mention it. Let's continue with the good news, and we have a giant this time, a real BTC giant. It's called Bitcoin Dipo, so it's a leader in ATMs. ATMs are, in fact, cash dispensers, if you prefer, ATMs in France.

17. The idea is that in America, it's possible to buy Bitcoin with cash via these ATMs. The Bitcoin company has just been listed on the Nasdaq, the index of the largest companies. Well, no, it's not Nasdaq stock, but the company that created the Nasdaq, Accent, which creates the index. So, it's been listed on the Nasdaq, which is quite remarkable and very positive.

18. We can go see its price if you want; we have it here on Boursorama. You see, it's 3.29. So, it was listed at the beginning of the week. The historical data is very, very low; it was worth a maximum of 365 and it dropped to 3.22. So, it's still great news. I don't know if it's widely used, but it seems so.

19. It's true that it actually goes a little against the grain of CBDCs because CBDCs are, in a way, the end of cash, or at least what's supposed to replace the cache in the long term. And here we're talking about a potential way to exchange cash for Bitcoin via ATMs. So the company has entered level 11, so clearly it's not here to stop.

20. Interesting, I think. Feel free to give me your opinion on this. It's true that we're not at all used to these practices in France, so it's quite curious. Here, with England, regulations are being activated. So, concretely, the idea is to clear the decks a bit. So, we're talking about illegal practices and others that need to be addressed.

21. eradicated to first allow for the establishment of trust and a place for institutional investors, and so there are a number of laws that are being passed, and the idea is indeed to limit, you see here the law, the law is entitled "Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency," and so there are a number of steps, particularly at the parliamentary level, to exchange, amend, and then accept the law.

22. So if it is adopted by both Houses, it would allow the justice system and law enforcement to seize crypto wallets. What is surprising is that they cannot do this currently, but it would seem that this is the reality. So if the crypto wallet is involved in cases recognized as terrorism, and we can also assume money laundering, this kind of thing, then the justice system will be able to seize the wallets.

23. So this is a measure that is quite anticipated to fight corruption and all financial crimes, and so this is a first step to then offer services to the general public, so I find it quite interesting, so yes, it will be more restrictive. Yes, there will be some tough steps, but it could be a good thing.

24. Of course, this needs to be put into perspective with the potential arrival of the digital pound as a CBDC (Blockchain Electronic Coin). So we'll have to see how they manage to coexist the two, and whether NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) is trying to supplant everything else and control what's happening.

25. We know this, we're not going to go over it again, you know the drill, but anyway, things are moving forward, it's interesting, and we should have some information. You see, around October 8th, we're continuing now in Asia. We're hearing about the mass adoption that's supposed to be happening. Stopping it is mainly about adoption in Hong Kong; the rest of Asia, or at least China, is still rather closed, rather restricted for the moment.

26. And so Hong Kong is trying to attract the American company Consensus to its territory. Specifically, that's what we're talking about in this article: Consensus, a big blockchain company. We won't go any further because we actually have another article on Hong Kong that's even more interesting, in my opinion.

27. It's about the development of stablecoins, potentially... A state-backed stablecoin that could potentially compete with the USDT and the USD is a stubble coin pegged to the dollar, specifically the Hong Kong dollar, but also beyond. So, it's quite surprising why the dollar? Perhaps because it's the reference currency, I suppose that's why.

28. And so, I imagine the idea is to have a stablecoin with international reach, because otherwise, I suppose in Hong Kong and Asia, at least in China, they could just use the local currency, which is the remingbip for them. So that would be quite interesting. Yes, China has two currencies: the remingbiy and the yen, one internal and one external.

29. We don't know, that's not the point here. So what's interesting is that they didn't choose these models; they chose, they played, they chose the dollar. So, it would be called the HKD and G, and so we see here a currency based on the Hong Kong dollar, supported by $430 billion in government bond reserves, so indeed a Stavel-based, potentially state-backed, and therefore a kind of MNBC, I suppose.

30. I think that's the general idea, so to be followed with great interest. Again, I don't see a date, so listen, for the moment it's perhaps not that far along, in any case it's interesting. I'm giving a positive outlook, as you 've seen today. That's all I wanted to share with you for this video. Thank you for listening and I'll see you tomorrow.
