01. If you look at Apple, they're missing this F1 race that's happening in AI with the rise of big tech and cookies and shoes on a park bench. Why is perplexity different? Perplexity is ultimately the algorithms, the model, the developers, the technology that would give Apple a huge leap to where they are today because the reality is better chance me and Ryder Cup back in September then Apple developing AI internally and I'm Jeremy Cowen is great at this formerly with Bloomberg London.

02. So Dan if they buy perplexity that only is like Serge tell me you know Portland can you know, go in. Tell me what a Vesper ticket looks like at the New Jersey Shore. Then they would bolt on other more video like in more chat JPT like things then we view it's a two parter one is the perplexity deal and two despite antitrust and everything going on from regulatory, you double down on Google in terms of Gemini partnership.

03. I mean that to me that is the whole. What's your timeline? I mean, I believe this has to happen next 4 to 6 months because of the thing. I mean, you've talked you know, we've talked here for Apple, for, you know, for so many years. You have the biggest install base in the world. You have 1.5 billion iPhones.

04. But the reality is that this is not going to happen internally. I think that's clear to our whole point is that to Apple, it's a good time. Time is ticking. It's time now for Come has never done acquisitions to change the narrative. And you cannot wait on the treadmill at 2.5 speed. This goes to the Tim Cook question, which I didn't even know was a thing, a question.

05. But I've heard it a little bit more in the last several months. Is Tim Cook the right guy to take Apple into the world? Look, I believe Tim Cook is the right guy as CEO. That will take Apple into this next phase of growth. But underneath Tim Cook, it's not the right I mean, it's clear you need a new blood coming at you need for a company that's actually lost so much talent, you need more leadership under him around innovation because the DNA of Cupertino, which has been so massively successful, you can be rose colored glasses.

06. It is hit a major brick wall and is not going to happen internally. So how does that happen? How do you change the mindset of a board of a C-suite that you need to do something dramatic here, maybe a perplexity type deal? How do you think that happens? Is it is it the board that has to drive this? I think a year ago they're like, no way.

07. Nine months ago, six months ago, when some of the black eyes happened on the original strategy. I believe now that there is a view that they have to do something. I want to go back to perplexity. This is a kid out of India. Grew up really difficult. Yeah computer science complete India geek get it ends up in Berkeley with a bunch of other guys.

08. He was a Google intern etc. etc.. Put our audience in the seat of arrogance, rid of us at perplexity right now. How does he respond to Apple overtures? Well. Well, look, I mean valuation right now called 1819 billion. Wow. And the view is okay could they do this themselves is essentially a model. I think everyone agrees the answer is no.

09. So from their perspective, could you partner you think that anthropic what they've done with Amazon Open they obviously don't themselves. To me it's one where it's like it's our time, Ticky, necessarily, but for them they have to do something big. And there's really only one company in the world that it would make sense or perplexity.

10. And I believe it's after they become members of the board, are they a division? Do they come in and three years later they're all gone? No. I think it's important that that's not they have to almost stay a separate way because if they get sucked into that Apapa Cooper and then all of a sudden that is exactly what could happen.

11. I think the biggest thing here is that Apple right now is at a point for the first time really in the last 15 years, they got to do something big. And look, a huge overhang lifted last week. Tariffs could play nice in the sandbox with Trump. That that's an important move. But the elephant in the room and we've talked about for coming there is a free cash flow machine and big company that is never done acquisitions. It's time now. The clock struck midnight. They got you something.
