01. US wants to make sure that if there's universal standards, Nvidia one chip fuel and the AI revolution, the hyperscalers, obviously Microsoft, Google, Amazon from an authentication perspective, you want to make sure it's US based technology like and I think that's everything that Sam has done. If everyone in 2022 loved Nvidia, what would have been so great about the call?

02. If everyone was such a believer in Apple coming out of Jobs iPhone in 2007, what why would we get so much credit? Like what would be the big deal? Like I'm just trying to explain if it was like Tesla and there were so many believers what Mus was going to be able to do in terms of EV. Why would it have been such a big deal for Palunteer and other exam?

03. But I'm just trying to give you like I like being in situations when you see the opportunity, you see the market, you see the structure, but others don't. US wants to make sure that if there's universal standards, Nvidia is one chip fueling the AI revolution. the hyperscalers, obviously Microsoft, Google, Amazon.

04. From an authentication perspective, you want to make sure it's US-based technology. And I think that's everything that Sam has done. If everyone in 2022 loved Nvidia, what would have been so great about the call? If everyone was such a believer in Apple coming out of Job's iPhone moment in 2007, why would we get so much credit?

05. like what would be the big like I'm just trying to explain if it was like Tesla and there were so many believers in what Musk was going to be able to do in terms of EVs why would it have been such a big deal or Palunteer another example I'm just trying to give ULIC I like being in situations when you see the opportunity you see the market you see the structure but others Don Steve do you have any sense of whether or not this is money that would have otherwise been spent anyway that was my first question to Microsoft And actually Brad Smith kind of preempted that.

06. It is new money. This is new commitment, not previously announced planned spend at least on Microsoft's side. Unclear about Open Eye and Nvidia. Interesting. Trump is able to line up all these deals to announce. Yes, says here's a gift to you UK. Right. Right. Yeah. These are all American companies that are really, you know, going to step up right with big dollars.

07. No. Absolutely. And it's been going full blast since he took over in January, right? But let's just, you know, in terms of Nvidia, and I can't speak to OQ, but throw up a chart. And the CEO was out, I think yesterday, saying that their GPUs will surpass Nvidia's in 2027. And I think he said Blackwell, and I'm quoting here, is a joke.

08. Now, again, I can't speak to the veracity of that. I can see what the stock has done over the last couple of weeks, but it speaks to competition in the space. Whether you believe it or not, it's coming. And you know, when you have 75 to 76% margins and competition comes, those margins can go away very quickly.

09. Which to me is still the bare case for Nvidia Don. It appears the spend is alive and well in AI do what if your desk warned you before your retirement got wiped out. Unless you buy this product, your retirement account could be destroyed overnight. Get yours now from the link down below because the supply is limited to just 100 pieces.

10. Is it Mel? I mean like they just announced 30 billion over 4 years. They had previously guided to 90 billion back in the summer. So if you kind of piece that out, if they're doing half of that 30 billion, that's 15. You piece that over. It's a rounding error. I mean like so I just think there's a lot of like, you know, political theatrics that's going on right here.

11. We haven't closed a UK trade deal. So, look at all this stuff that's going on. We just spent some time talking about the Tik Tok deal. We're trying to get a trade deal done with China. We talked about a UK deal months ago. We haven't seen any clarity in that regard. So, it seems like there's a lot of shell games going on here.

12. And again, all these companies were going to make these investments. You know, last year when Microsoft guided I think the number was 80 billion, they said half of it was going to be abroad. So again, I look at these numbers. I don't think they're particularly, you know, great for Nvidia. They're going to sell tens of thousands of their GP.

13. They better hope Blackwell is not a joke. Yeah, I do think it's showing. I mean, this increased capex is showing that they are optimistic about the return on that investment. I think Microsoft is one of the few where we actually are seeing the AI revenue coming in as outpacing the growth of the capex.

14. And so I think the idea they're willing to spend more is just showing that the demand is going to be there. These are getting more and more expensive. And this is where I think you want to think of who else is going to benefit. Like for example, the energy space, which is just like there's not enough of that to go around, whether that's here or in the UK where they're building some of these out.

15. You're going to want to look at not just these players, but kind of that outsource. And I think that's going to be the way to play that. Not a good day for Nvidia. Nvidia some weakness thereafter. China called out that Nvidia violated antitrust laws. This comes after the US and China are continuing to meet trying to negotiate a deal and Nvidia as usual is caught in the crosshairs of that Nvidia shares are down roughly 1%.

16. At this point off of the lows that we saw earlier in this session, we are seeing the major indexes all trading in the green right now. We have a nice pop in the NASDAQ composite up around 4/10en of a percent. Same with the S&P 500 and the Dow is up roughly 100 basis points. Now I talked about Nvidia.

17. Related to Nvidia is Cororee. We got some breaking news just a few moments ago that the company announced $6.3 billion cloud capacity deal with Nvidia. You will see Cororee shares popping on the heels of that deal. Even though Nvidia is down today, Cororeweave is up roughly 6% at the opening bell. Coreweave rents out Nvidia's AI chips and that helps the company with AI workloads and it's become one of the chipmakers key cloud partners and just underscores.

18. Really the massive demand for GPU computing dot and then also on the NASDAQ helping lift the broader index is Tesla. We are seeing shares up around 6%. And this comes after CEO Elon Musk revealed that he bought $1 billion in shares on Friday. This is the first time that he has bought shares of Tesla since 2020.

19. It's something Brian that we'll be talking about throughout the show here, but you're seeing a nice pop with Tesla shares up 7% this morning. No breaks for Nvidia in China. Nvidia shares under pressure as China will carry out a further investigation into the market darling after a preliminary probe found that it had violated China's anti- monopoly law.

20. Nvidia was found to have violated the terms of China's state administration for market regulations conditional approval for the acquisition of Israeli chip designer Mel. The news likely means Nvidia won't be able to sell its hardware in China in the near term. China remains a very important market for Nvidia.

21. As CEO Jensen Wang told Yahoo Finance just a few short weeks ago, for every American technology company, China is important. It's an important market. It's also, as you know, just really large. It's the second largest computing market in the world. And I'm just delighted that President Trump sees the wisdom of American leadership.

22. And particularly at this time where AI is taking off, it's vital that America wins the AI race. Now Tesla is higher this morning after Elon Musk posted that quote, "Daddy is very much home." He says he will spend the week assessing Tesla's AI and autopilot ambitions. He talks about walking around the giant data center that he's building, Colossus 2, and then he's going to be in meetings for up to 12 hours.

23. He says they're back to dashback. Craig Trudeell runs Bloomberg's global auto coverage. And Craig, it's a little bit weird to me that Elon Musk is tweeting out his schedule. Does this mean he wasn't really working at Tesla anymore before the trillion dollar pay package? Yeah, his home very much implies that he was away for a time.

24. And I mean, this is in keeping with what he wants us to think, right? It's very much a narrative play on his part and on the part of Tesla's board of laying out this new master plan for the company. Putting targets that are sort of aligned with that plan out there to get everybody excited about the future.

25. Making those targets, tying them to paying Musk again because that worked out well the last time. And meanwhile, the company I think the real question is are the business fundamentals actually doing any better? And we aren't really getting indications that it is. In terms of vehicle sales here in Europe, they've really been weak.

26. In China, the company has been seeing very consistent declines in shipments from its factory in Shanghai. And in the US, Tesla continues to lose a share of the EV market, which is really going to be challenged after tax credits go away as a result of the Republicans doing away with inflation reduction act tax credits.

27. Elon Musk purchased about $1 billion in Tesla stock on Friday. He made the move after Tesla's chair spoke with Bloomberg Tech's Ed Ledllo about the merits of a potential $1 trillion pay package for Musk. The board's responsibility is to look at who the CEO is for the next period of time. And we believe that Elon is the right CEO for Tesla over this transformative period of time.

28. And our view is he's a generational leader. There aren't any other people out there like Elon. Let's get straight to Bloomberg Tech's Ed Lello. Ed, again, the timing is interesting here. What was the decision and why do we think Elon Musk did this? Yeah, I mean, the market is seeing it as a really positive signal that Musk from the other side of the negotiating table is saying, "Yeah, I kind of buy what Robin Denholm's essay
