in today's video I'm going over how easy it is to buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on coin base using either your bank account credit card or debit card hey guys what's up this is Eric of investing apps TV and on this channel we talk investing apps investing tutorials and investing principles so if you're new here today definitely feel free to subscribe to catch future videos just like this one and just to let you guys know down in the description box below I'll link up where you can learn more about coin base as well as how new users can get a free ten dollars with a Bitcoin when signing up with that being said guys let's now get started with today's tutorial so here we are now guys inside the coin based website first I'm gonna show you how to buy cryptocurrency on the website then I'll show you how to buy it on the coin based app so if you want to buy cryptocurrency what you first want to do is click on where it says buy cell the second tab right over here on the top left click on buy sell and it's already set to buy by default if you want to sell you look on the sell button but today we're talking about buying so if you want to buy its first gonna ask you what is it that you want to buy do you want to buy Bitcoin do you want to buy aetherium or do you want to buy litecoin and it shows you the current exchange prices as well so let's say in this example I want to buy some let's just say I want to buy some Bitcoin next it's going to ask you the payment method how would you like to pay for this Bitcoin so what you want to do is click on this little drop down box right here and you can choose either eur/usd wallet or your other country's currency this is if you already have money sitting in your clients account in cash if you don't you may not see this option here I have a little bit of cash sitting in here so I do have this option here the next option is gonna be your bank account but before I get to that let's say you had some cash sitting in your coinbase account you would click on USD wallet and you would choose how much do you want to buy so as you can see I have $99.99 sitting in my USD wallet so I couldn't buy $100 it'll give me an error you don't have enough money in this account that's fine let's say I want to buy $99 worth and it shows you instantly the equivalent amount of Bitcoin I would receive point 0 5 3 9 etc Bitcoin and I will click this button right here to buy Bitcoin instantly because when you buy with your USD wallet you get the Bitcoin instantly you could see it's available instantly the payment method is the USD wallet and it would deposit to my Bitcoin wallet in my coin base account this is basically the breakdown here how much I would receive it's the equivalent of 96 dollars in one cent because again there is a two dollar and 99 cent fee now basically what you have to know is if you want to buy through either eur/usd wallet or your credit card or debit card it's a slightly higher fee than if you buy with your bank account but it's delivered instantly the cryptocurrency is delivered instantly to your account whereas if you buy with bank account it's a lower fee but it takes four to five days before the cryptocurrency arrives in your account so that's basically the breakdown of buying with eur/usd wallet the next option you could choose is your credit or debit card here so I would choose my credit card now if you see here you would click this button here buy Bitcoin instantly because again you can receive cryptocurrency instantly when buying with credit or debit card on coinbase you can see it's available instantly to my Bitcoin wallet but you'll notice the fee is slightly higher because you're paying for instant delivery I would receive 95 dollars and 20 cents the next option is if you change this to your bank account that's the final buying option now the fee is slightly lower but it does take four to five business days to get to your account as you can see it's available next Friday today's Friday December 15th so this shows next Friday December 20 seconds' the fees look pretty similar here for lower amounts but if you buy a higher amount say like a buy $500 you'll notice the fees list as you could see it's five hundred dollars it's about a seven dollar fee for five hundred dollars buying a bank but if I change that to my credit card the same $500 is about a $19 feast so really if you buy with the bank you're saving more than 50% in fees but like I said it does take four to five business days to get to your account now one thing I do want to address is a lot of people ask me if I buy with bank account and the crypto currency or the Bitcoin doesn't arrive to my coin based account for a whole five business days do I get the Bitcoin locked in at the price that I bought it at or do I get it at the price it is five business days from now when it arrives in my account so the answer to that is you actually lock in the price from the moment that you buy the cryptocurrency on coinbase so if I were to buy this with my bank account right now and I were to buy it as you can see the current exchange rate is seventeen thousand dollars eight hundred and twenty three dollars per Bitcoin at this exact moment I'm about to buy I would lock in that exchange rate and I would receive point O 276 Bitcoin in five business days that's locked in so even if the price of Bitcoin in a week which it won't but if it let's just say hypothetically situation the price doubled it was worth thirty four thousand per Bitcoin I would receive still my point O two seven six Bitcoin but it would now be worth instead of being worth five hundred dollars it would be worth a thousand dollars so basically to answer your question you lock in the price that's an extremely hypothetical situation it won't happen in a week but just to give you an example you do lock in the price because there's a lot of people worrying that in that five business days a lot of price fluctuation can happen and that is true but don't worry you lock in the price so that's basically how you buy on the website I'm now gonna show you how to buy in the mobile app it's a pretty similar process so let's get to that right now so here we are now inside the mobile app of coinbase if you want to buy Bitcoin or litecoin or aetherium on the app it's a very similar process what you want to do is click on buy it's the very center button that's highlighted in blue it will now ask you which cryptocurrency do you want to buy do you want to buy litecoin or the middle one aetherium or on the far left Bitcoin you can choose any one you want again in this example for this video let's say I want to buy a theorem so much like the website I can choose do I want to buy a specific US dollar amount or do I want to buy a specific etherial amount let's say I want to buy two whole aetherium I could type in two and it will show me the equivalent US dollar amount it would cost me over fourteen hundred dollars to get two whole theorem but again I don't have to buy a whole number I could buy you know 0.07 aetherium it'll cost me as you could see instantly it shows you the equivalent amount of dollars it would cost me about fifty one dollars roughly but again you don't have to do that either if you want to buy a specific US dollar amount you have that set in your mind say you're set by $200 worth of aetherium you can do that as well and it will give you point to a to theorem the equivalent amount from here it's gonna ask you where do you want to debit from where it says deposit to that's basically saying some deposits your aetherium wallet you don't really have to worry about that but what you do want to think about is where do you want to debit from if you click on this drop down here Oh you can choose if you want to pay with your debit or credit card or if you want to pay with your bank account or if you want to pay with your US dollar wallet if you happen to have any cash sitting in your coin based account like I said earlier so let's say I want to buy with debit card today click on my debit card I would then click on the next button and as you could see here this is the confirmation page this is just the confirmation showing you there is gonna be a seven dollar 67 cent fee because I'm buying with debit card it's roughly about a 4% fee I would in turn receive point two seven six nine nine etc aetherium and it would arrive in my account instantly just like that but if I want to save a little bit on fees I can go back and instead debit from my bank accounts click on the next button and as you could see for the same amount the fee is less it was like a seven dollar fee and now it's like a three dollar fee so it's a much lower fee but as you could see it's not gonna be available until next Friday a week from today so about five business days and the third option is if you debit from eur/usd wallet you want to put in the amount of US dollar equivalent you want of aetherium and that's basically it when it comes to buying on the coin based app again there is a difference in fees in terms of the fees the breakdown is it's a 4% fee if you want to buy through debit or credit card but again that's gonna be instant deliveries so you're paying for instant delivery if you want to save a little on fees and you don't need the cryptocurrency absolutely right away it's a 1.5% fee buying through bank account but again it takes four to five business days to get into your coin based account now if you're buying small amounts of cryptocurrency you may notice that the fee differences don't seem that large but if you start to buy larger amounts of cryptocurrency there's a pretty large difference in fees when you start to buy larger amounts so just keep that in mind it does save a lot to buy if your bank account but that's basically it for buying on the mobile app and that pretty much sums up today's tutorial and how to buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on coinbase let me know down below which method you guys prefer do you prefer to buy instantly with credit or debit card or do you prefer the lower fee buying with bank account and
