When will gold give big returns? This is the question in everyone's mind today. There is uncertainty in the market regarding gold and silver. Meanwhile, it has become almost impossible to estimate the prices. The market says something, experts say something else, in such a situation common investors get confused whether it is right to hold or sell.
Because when a rise is expected, the market falls. Meanwhile, Red Dalio has made the biggest prediction on gold. Radalio has a great advice for everyone regarding sleep. What exactly did Ray Dalio say? Find out in today's video. Hello, I am Nikita and you are watching Gold News India GI. So first of all let's talk about today's latest prices.
Today i.e. Thursday, 30th April, there is a rise in gold and silver. The price of 24 carat gold has increased by ₹1630 today to ₹15190 per 10 grams. The price of 22 carat gold is ₹138591 per 10 grams and 18 carat gold is trading around ₹1393 per 10 grams today . Talking about silver, silver is trading around ₹243540 per kg with an increase of ₹5310.
So let us now tell you what Ray Dalio has said. Redalio, one of the world's most respected investors, is also the founder of Bridgewater Associates. He shares an important strategy for gold in Recent Insights . He says that every investor should keep about 5% to 15% of his portfolio in gold. Dario views gold not as a short-term trading asset but as a safety asset or insurance.
Which comes in handy when the global economy is unstable, inflation is high or currencies are becoming weak. His logic is simple. The government can print paper currency. But the supply of gold is limited. Therefore, when uncertainty in the financial system increases, debt levels are high or markets are volatile , gold behaves as a stable store of value.
According to Red Dalio 's analysis, his conviction on gold is quite strong and there are some solid MAC reasons behind it. First of all, central banks at the global level are aggressively accumulating gold. According to the World Gold Council, central banks will buy approximately 863.3 tonnes of gold in 2025, which is much higher than the average of 473 tonnes from 2010 to 2021.
And the interesting thing is that even in 2026, 95% of the central banks are expecting that the gold reserves will increase further. This clearly shows that gold is being viewed as a strategic reserve asset. The second important point is that there is no counterparty risk in gold. This means that unlike bond stocks or bank deposits, it does not depend on the stability of any company or institution.
Gold exists physically and is an asset outside the financial system. Therefore, it acts as a strong safety net during times of crisis. Performance also supports the logic of nets. Gold historically performs strongly during periods of market stress. Like during the 2020 pandemic, gold gave 25% plus returns and in the recent 12 months it has delivered around 74% returns.
Which is much higher in comparison to SNP500. Dalio's view is even clearer from an inflation perspective. According to him, the modern economy is based on debt and flat currency. Where the government keeps increasing the money supply. Due to which the value of the currency gets diluted in the long term.
But gold is independent of the system because its supply is fixed and its value is accepted globally. Therefore, gold better protects long-term purchasing power compared to cash. Overall, Dalio has a simple message. Treat gold not as a short term trade but as a permanent hedge, i.e. a 5% to 15% allocation.
