good morning everyone and happy thursday it is julie here with your tip ranks pre-market morning update where we're bringing you everything you need to know before the market opens so let's get into it all right guys welcome back and thank you all so much for being here this morning we'll be taking a look at exciting stock market news notable earnings reports and the morning's biggest gainers and losers just before we get into all of that this is your friendly reminder that if you enjoy today's video make sure you hit that thumbs up button and that you're subscribed to the channel as well so you can stay up to date with all of our latest videos alright let's get right into this morning's exciting stock market news u.s stock futures are in the red this morning currently dow futures are down 0.33 percent s p 500 futures down 0.37 percent and nasdaq futures down 0.47 to enhance its podcasting business spotify technology has acquired two podcast technology companies pod sites and charitable pod sites a podcast advertising measurement service will aid marketers to measure the impact of their ads over a period of time spotify plans to complement these capabilities beyond podcasts and include audio ads within music video ads and display ads meanwhile podcast analytics platform chartable will provide the perception of the audience which will help podcast publishers in measuring the success of their growth campaigns the spotify stock is currently rated a moderate buy with an average upside of 50 amazon web services has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with brazil's space agency the deal is focused on the long-term development of brazil's space program as a result aws and the space agency will cooperate in areas such as research and development training and the creation of a centralized space data repository amazon is expanding in brazil and in 2020 announced a nearly 195 million dollar investment in data centers across the country their stock is currently rated a strong buy with an average upside of 32 percent and nvidia and jaguar land rover have joined forces to redefine modern luxury in the auto industry while leveraging artificial intelligence technology as part of the reimagined strategy the automaker is to develop cars featuring the nvidia drive hyperion 8 platform integration of this platform should result in jaguar land rover vehicles featuring a wide spectrum of active safety and automated driving systems they'll also come with driver assistance systems and ai features to enhance driver and occupant monitoring the ultimate goal is to try and transform customers experience in every step of the journey the stock is currently rated a strong buy with an average upside of 34 percent now moving over to notable earnings reports we've heard from some pretty big names in the pre-market already the biggest of course being walmart who just reported and came in ahead of analyst expectations their earnings per share came in at 1.53 versus the 1.50 cents expected and revenue came in at 152.87 billion versus the 151.53 billion expected their cfo said that they're closely watching their price gaps as inflation drives the cost of meat and other foods higher the company also raised their dividend by one cent to 56 cents per share and said that they plan to repurchase 10 billion dollars of their own stock in fiscal 2023.
analysts currently rate the walmart stock a moderate buy with an average upside of nearly 23 we also heard from palantir who came in ahead of analyst expectations on revenue but did just slightly miss on earnings for their fourth quarter they reported revenue of 433 million that was up 34 from the year ago period and ahead of the analyst estimates of 414 million their earnings per share came in two cents which was two cents shy of analyst expectations their stock is currently rated a hold with an average upside of 54 and we also heard from fiverr who came in well ahead of analyst expectations for their earnings they reported quarterly earnings per share of 22 cents well ahead of analyst estimates of just five cents per share this was on revenue of 79.8 million also ahead of analyst estimates of 76.9 million revenue grew 42.7 on a year-over-year basis analysts currently rate the stock a moderate buy with an average upside of nearly 80 percent now i want to quickly recap some of the big names we heard from last night which included nvidia who came out with record q4 revenue and earnings beating estimates along with cisco whose results came in ahead of analyst expectations and doordash also coming out with results ahead of analyst expectations in the after hours today we'll be hearing from roku and tomorrow morning from draftkings but now let's take a look at which stocks are this morning's biggest gainers and losers now all of our gainers and losers this morning are moving because of reactions to their earnings reports our biggest gainer this morning is doordash under the ticker dash the stock is currently up over 24 they're followed by global e online under the ticker glbe they're up nearly 15 and fiverr international under the ticker fvr who's up seven and a half percent our biggest losers this morning are led by amplitude their stock is crashing following lower than expected future guidance under the ticker ampl the stock is currently down nearly 43 they're followed by it fastly under the ticker fsly the stock is down 32 after their forecast called for bigger 2022 growth slowdown than expected and 10x genomics under the ticker txg their stock is down 24 after they missed on analyst estimates so that is going to be everything for thursday's pre-market morning update getting you up to speed with what you need to know before that opening bell if you made it to the end of today's video make sure you hit that thumbs up button and say good morning in the comments down below i always love hearing from you guys thank you all so much for watching i hope you have a fantastic day and i'll see you back here next time
