We think this could be the most important company in history, and I mean in the entire history of the world, because we're talking not only about truly exploring a new world, a universe in terms of its launch capabilities and helping others do that, but also about a global communications network; in fact, telecommunications has always been a very local business.

In fact, historically, the way to enter countries' markets was to buy a local telecommunications operator. But that's in the past. This is a global business, and SpaceX is a pioneer, having 75% of all satellites in orbit. Huge opportunities , and meanwhile on Earth SpaceX is leasing its data centers to Anthropic , Google, and others.

So, this is an amazing story. The market just punished Katie Wood's three ideas she believes in the most. Tesla shares fell sharply after the earnings report. SpaceX suffered significant losses after its IPO. Meta has faced pressure over its AI spending. And while most investors rushed to the exit, Katie Wood did the opposite.

She bought aggressively. In her opinion, this is not a warning. This is a gift. This is the type of break that only happens a few times per cycle, when short-term noise outweighs long-term reality. If its track record of disruptive innovation is any guide, people selling these assets now may look back in a few years and wonder what they were thinking.

The point here is not to chase every fall. The point is to recognize when the market misvalues companies that are at the center of the biggest technological shifts of the decade. Autonomous systems, space infrastructure, and AI-based platforms that reach billions of people. Katie Wood has argued for years that the true value of these companies will be measured in decades, not quarters.

The recent sell-offs have created exactly the entry points our strategy was designed for. Let's take a look at the three names she's currently betting the most on , taking into account the latest numbers and real-world events that matter. Tesla, Inc., trading under the ticker symbol Tesla. Let's start with Tesla.

Shares fell sharply after the company reported second- quarter 2026 results. Revenue was a record $28.24 billion , up 26% from last year and exceeding expectations. Delivery figures were high. The energy business and the services sector demonstrated confident dynamics. However, adjusted earnings per share of 33 cents fell short of Wall Street's target of about 51 cents.

Operating profit fell sharply, margins shrank, and free cash flow became negative as the company directed significant investments into AI, robotics, and autonomous systems. A significant portion of GAAP net income also reflected unrealized gains on its interest in SpaceX, not just core operating activities.

The market reacted as it often does to mixed results and increased costs. They sold first, and asked questions later. The stock quickly fell by double-digit percentages. Katie Wood's reaction was immediate and decisive. Ark Invest purchased about $52 million worth of Tesla shares for several funds in the days following the report.

This is consistent with her long-standing thesis. She has repeatedly stated that Tesla is still in the early stages of developing robotaxis, Optimus, and energy storage. Short-term margin pressure is the price of creating platforms that can eventually outperform the current automotive business . FSD continues to improve.

Cybercab production has begun. The energy storage business continues to scale. For an investor with a multi-year horizon, a post-earnings sell-off that ignores the trajectory of autonomy and robotics is exactly the kind of mistake she is willing to play against. The second case is even more dramatic.

SpaceX, which trades under the ticker symbol SBCX, went public in June at $135 per share and briefly soared in price. Since then, the stock has fallen precipitously, recently trading around $115 and sometimes lower. This represents a significant drop from post-IPO peaks and leaves the stock below the offering price.

The reasons are familiar for a fast- growing company that has recently gone public. The expiration of the share lock-up period is approaching, strong selling pressure and a natural correction after a loud debut. Katie Wood saw this weakness as an opportunity. Ark remains a consistent buyer , adding tens of millions of dollars across multiple funds and building a significant position.

In her public comments, she went even further, calling SpaceX potentially the most important company in history. The core business continues to operate efficiently. Starlink continues to expand its subscriber base and revenue contribution. Starship development is moving forward. The company is at the intersection of satellite broadband services and future constellations that could transform global connectivity and even defense and computing infrastructure.

There is also TerraLab's collaboration with Tesla and Intel aimed at creating massive computing power. Public financial data is still limited due to the recent IPO, but for a growth investor, the trajectory of launches, satellite deployments, and long-term contracts are more important. When a company with such a strategic position is trading at a deep discount to its recent peak due to temporary supply and sentiment factors, Katie Wood's plan of action through this gap is obvious.

Next—Meta. The company has delivered strong operating results, although the stock has faced periods of pressure due to high capital expenditures on AI. In the first quarter of 2026, Meta reported revenue of 56.31 billion, up 33 % year-over- year. Operating profit reached 22.87 billion with an operating margin of 41%.

The advertising engine remains strong: the average cost per ad has increased, and engagement rates around Meta AI have accelerated following the release of new models. At the same time, management raised its 2026 capital expenditure forecast to a range of $125 billion to $145 billion as it builds the infrastructure for personal superintelligence and next- generation AI experiences.

This level of spending has made some investors nervous, creating periods of weakness that ARK has taken advantage of to increase its shareholding. Katie Wood has been buying Meta shares in recent months, consistent with her view that the company's creation of fundamental AI platforms and distribution advantages will generate profits for years.

The combination of Meta's huge user base, advertising exposure, and aggressive investments in models and infrastructure puts it in a unique position. The short-term discussion about free cash flow and spending intensity is real, but the long-term possibility of deeply embedding AI into social platforms is exactly what it focuses on.

When the market becomes fixated on the cost of development and temporarily ignores revenue and engagement dynamics, this is the window of opportunity it exploits. These three companies have a common behavioral model. Each of them faced a notable sell-off due to news headlines. Tesla—due to lower-than-expected profits and investment intensity.

SpaceX— due to understanding the implications of going public and concerns about blocking shares. Meta—because of the scale of its spending on AI. In each case, Katie Wood responded by increasing the proportion of investments, not reducing them. Her argument is simple. The market places too much importance on short-term noise and underestimates the long-term value of the platform.

Tesla is building an autonomy and robotics stack. SpaceX builds space and communications infrastructure. Meta is building an AI layer that spans billions of users. Companies that successfully execute on these visions typically reward investors who buy when market sentiment is weakest. None of this guarantees profits in the near term.

Companies with high growth and high confidence may remain under pressure for longer than expected, especially when capital markets are sensitive to costs and valuations. But the historical pattern surrounding such imbalances is clear. When a disciplined investor with a long-term horizon aggressively builds assets while the broader market sells them off, it's usually something to watch out for .

The current situation with Tesla, SpaceX, and Meta is one such moment. The market created this opportunity. Whether investors see this as a mistake or an opportunity will likely determine who benefits from the next stage of these stories' development.
