Even with this explosive move in silver, you know, Trump declared it as strategic metal silver, right? I mean, there's a lot of real industrial use, big buyers need silver. Uh, and there's just not a lot of silver there. That is the problem. Uh, now it's not a problem for me. I own a bunch of silver.
I own a bunch of silver mining companies, right? So do my clients now. But it's a problem for the people who have short they've shorted silver that they don't have. and good luck trying to get a hold of it. And you need to have a foundation of sound money. You know, if you're keeping intangibles, make sure you have some good, solid, tangible, sound money.
And sound money is money that governments and central banks cannot inflate away. And not cuz I say it or you say it, but because they have the broadest base of buyer. Physical gold and silver is used in every sector of the global economy. While markets appear calm on the surface, major changes are quietly taking place behind the scenes.
Governments and central banks are testing policies that often contradict their public statements as the gap between paper wealth and real ownership continues to widen. Central banks are steadily accumulating gold, even at high prices, signaling concerns the public largely overlooks. At the same time, policymakers are floating ideas like exit taxes and unrealized gains taxes as signals of future intent.
Despite stable paper markets, interest in real assets such as gold and silver is becoming increasingly significant. For more insights into precious metals investing, like, subscribe, and turn on notifications. And dare I say it, globally, and I know to some people they roll their eyes and they think I'm crazy, but this is also in this crisis that is unfolding.
This is the opportunity on a global basis to get sound money back into our system again. But dare I say it, it must be redeemable. the public. If you don't like what you see the government doing, you have to have the right to pull the gold out of the system. Because that's really what gold does for governments is it creates that fiscal responsibility.
You and I have to be fiscally responsible or we're going to be under a bridge. Well, isn't it time that we demand governments be fiscally responsible? 100%. They're spending our tax dollars, aren't they? and the the direction that they're going. We've coined a phrase tax scavenge mode and some people were catching on and repeating it.
So, we thought, hold on, we better secure our IP. Let's define it. And we did a little postage stamp and we pushed it out. And this is what happens. First, they tax you by slight of hand covertly via expenditure beyond income. And that goes on the debt market. This is by inflation. The silent the silent covert tax.
What is happening as the debt markets are becoming less and less tenable that that bottomless overdraft is being reigned back in. They get more aggressive, more totalitarian and more direct in the form of their taxation. Do you know uh Lynette The Guardian ran an article today uh about Rachel Reeds who's the equivalent of Scott Bessant in the states uh she's the chancellor for the United Kingdom is planning a 20% exit tax for anybody that leaves the United Kingdom.
And further to that article in case you think I'm not in the United Kingdom she says there it will be broadly in compliance in the direction of the larger G7 which is a fancy way of saying the West plus Japan. The G7 for those that do not know includes the United States of America, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Canada, and the EU says the broader EU will be falling in line with the G7.
Think about that. You've paid tax on your income. You paid tax on your company's uh profits. You've then got paid personally in a salary or a dividend. You've been taxed on that. You paid VAT on securing your goods, your shopping, and then uh you decide to leave your slave master, I'm intended to say, uh and he determines he takes 20% of your entire assets.
I mean, what's your comment on that? Where are we heading? Well, let me tell you, there are all different names for confiscation because anytime I use that word, people, oh well, they would never do that again. Well, they're doing it and they're doing it right now. They can call out all sorts of names because they don't really want you to understand how they are robbing you, how they are confiscating.
What do we have to work with? We have our time. That's what we have. Yeah. And all of those different layers of taxes are ridiculous. And an exit tax, well, some of the states in the US are trying that, too. So, do I think that that's far away? No, I don't. I don't. In fact, on my tweet, I had a few Americans answers and they say California is wanting a 10-year clawback.
One mentioned New Jersey and there was a third state that I failed to recall, but quite clearly just moving inside of America. Yep. And you exactly I mean telling you, move fast while stocks last, as they say. This has been really very eyeopening. There's a lot of things. There are a lot of different moving parts, but yeah, I mean, you want to be prepared while you still have the opportunity cuz that's the other thing.
People think they've got all the time and they don't and you're not going to know one second before you lose all of your choices. Yeah. Yeah. The hammer will suddenly fall. So, the signs, the inclinations, the trial balloons that they float, it's the political way. Let's put a shot across to our What about this idea?
They these are real clear declarations of intent. They aren't in place yet in the UK. They aren't in place yet fully in the G7, but they are telling you where they might go. We also had Janet Yellen refer to unrealized capital gains. How about that one? Do you remember? Oh, yes, I sure do. Oh, look.
So, they create the inflation. Yeah. And they push in dollar terms or wherever you are in the world, monkey, right? That's it. Monkey money. They push it up. People are going, "Oh, that's awesome. That's awesome." But they're going to tax those inflated gains. Yeah. That's it. It's It's outrageous. Why aren't you upset?
Yeah. Right. I am. I'm very upset about it cuz this is not the world I want to leave our children. No, it isn't. And I talk to all the nor nominal normies is my phrase for people that think they've made money when something's gone up in dollar terms. There's a lot of them in the stock market right now.
The new This is the other point that I love to bring up, Lynette. There is no basis of account anymore but a gold ounce, right? All those that do accounting in dollars and euros. I'm sorry. That's not a valid measure. It is in the earnest Hemingway bankruptcy curve. We've gone from the slowly at first and we're in the now suddenly very fast stage.
Uh your basis of account for your wealth for what things cost is a gold ounce. anything else. Uh, you're a monkey on a grease pole with monkey money in your mouth. Yep. And you need to get off the pole and you need to have a foundation of sound money. Mhm. And, you know, I like, you know, I've been studying currency life cycles since 1987.
And so, our strategy, our sound money strategy is built in layers for short-term, intermediate term, and longer term. And I think we need to be wise to what we're doing. And so even if even if you want to go into those inflated assets because your perception is that they're going up, just properly diversify.
You know, if you're keeping intangibles, make sure you have some good, solid, tangible, sound money. And sound money is money that governments and central banks cannot inflate away. And not because I say it or you say it, but because they have the broadest base of buyer. Physical gold and silver is used in every sector of the global economy.
Fiat money, digital money, cryptocurrencies, one place. Yeah. So if you've got one area of demand and that demand goes away, what do you what do you have? Yeah. No, it's not it's not a stool, is it? You need three legs for the stool. Uh and on that true proof of work, a phrase that appears to have been hijacked, digging holes in ground, real geologists, finding real high value scarcity uh that is nondigital but physical that is of the real world.
You'll be sold on a digital world whilst they go and secure contracts for resources in other countries. Uh they want you to do one thing while they do another. Uh it's not what they say, it's what they do. You should be watching. Warning signs of stress across financial markets are becoming difficult even for experienced investors to dismiss.
Peter Schiff, founder of Europacific Capital and Shift Gold, attributes these developments to years of fiscal irresponsibility and flawed monetary policy. Speaking from Puerto Rico amid rising instability, he warned that political interference in monetary decisions, particularly the prospect of a Fed chair committed to rate cuts regardless of economic conditions, poses a serious threat to the dollar's purchasing power.
In this environment, Schiff argues that gold and silver represent rational responses to eroding confidence in fiat currencies rather than speculative trades. As central banks quietly expand the money supply, precious metals are acting as early indicators of growing financial instability and declining trust in the dollar.
And we're on track. In fact, it's actually moving up even faster than I thought. Now, I'm not surprised that this is happening. What's actually surprising to me is that it took so long for this to happen. I mean, how long was silver at 30 bucks when gold was 3,000 and higher? In fact, at one point it was not only 100 to1, it was like 108 ounces of silver.
And we're not going to get anywhere near 50 on silver again. I doubt it. I mean, it's Is it possible that we [snorts] could go back down and retest 50 again? I guess so. But I think the odds are that we're not going to get down there. Um, what's also been a bit surprising, but again, nothing surprises me, is that the mining stocks have gone nowhere this week.
They've been steady. Even the silver stocks, even with this explosive move in silver, the silver stocks are not making new highs yet. Uh, and maybe uh, you know, people are thinking that this is a fluke, right? that, oh well, you know, this is just some kind of speculative blowoff and so they're not paying up for these silver stocks.
Well, they're going to because this is not a speculative blowoff. This is a long overdue catchup. In fact, one of the places where there isn't a bubble, I mean, there's so many bubbles that have been inflated uh by uh the Fed and it's, you know, loose monetary policy. The one thing that's not in a bubble is gold and silver.
It's not even close. It doesn't even have any of the characteristics that would qualify it uh as as a bubble. Uh and and so I think that a lot of the money that has kind of been on the sideline this week, it started just like I said last week on Sunday night. You know, silver gapped up to $3 on Monday.
Had a big move, but you had all weekend to buy it. And I and and again, you got to go to shift gold and buy some gold and silver tomorrow, this weekend. Just don't wait till Sunday night because that's when Asia wakes up and they start buying. You want to buy before they do that, right? And I think with the thin holiday trading next week, uh, we could see even bigger moves.
We could see a bigger short squeeze. There's still shorts out there in silver holding and hoping that the market comes down. But there could be an overwhelming amount of physical demand for this commodity that is in scarce supply. You know, Trump declared it as strategic metal, silver, right? I mean, there's a lot of real industrial use.
Big buyers need silver.
The other thing that's going to be driving uh the dollar lower uh and gold higher is the new Fed chairman yet to be announced. I think Trump has said he's supposed to announce his pick uh before the end of the year, but Trump talked about his pick and what Trump said was that he is going to appoint a Fed chairman who wants lower interest rates.
Now, that should scare the hell out of anybody that has US dollars, right? He didn't say, "I'm going to appoint the best man for the job or gal for the job, best person. I'm going to appoint somebody who's determined to uh maintain the purchasing power of the dollar, maintain price stability, be a good steward of uh the dollar and and its role uh you know uh be above the political fray uh be independent.
No, no, he didn't say that. He said, "I am going to put somebody in charge of the Fed who is going to lower interest rates whether the economy calls for lower interest rates or not is basically what he's saying. I am sending somebody to the Fed with a directive to cut interest rates, right? It's that's it.
And if you're not going to take give me your word that you're going to cut rates and if I don't trust that you're going to do it because obviously you know you could change your mind right once you get the job you're there right the president can't fire you mean he's trying. So, he wants to make sure he's got a real Trump supporter that won't stab him in the back, right, by doing what's right for the country, that it's going to be loyal to Trump above all else, right?
That is the one criteria that Trump has. You will do exactly what I ask you to do, right? And if you say yes, you you got the job, right? I think that's who he's going to put in charge. the one he thinks is most likely not to, you know, uh uh, you know, disappoint him, not to knife him in the back and and say, "You know what?
Sorry, Mr. President. I I I, you know, now that you appointed me, I take this job too seriously, I I got to do what I got to do, and you know, we can't cut rates." You know, that's not the guy. Trump does not want that kind of guy. He wants a yes man. He wants a team player. And he's making that pretty obvious, right?
That the Fed chairman is going to be the the puppet and he's going to be the puppeteer. And it's not just going to be um rate cuts. It's going to be QE, right? All Trump wants to do is blow air into this bubble. That is his only goal, to prevent everything from collapsing while he's still
