ig. Friends. I'm just trying to make ducate. So call me at 1-800-743-CBC. Tweet me: Jim Kramer. Come to work and you will find out that the Chinese have targeted all the advanced AI models: Anthropic, OpenAI. And you ask yourself if they will be able to go public. Maybe not, because the Chinese also have cheap memory— at least we think so, or maybe not.
But if we could get our hands on it, that would be great. But if American companies do adopt Chinese technology, won't they become targets for Chinese open source models? And what does this mean for the price of tokens? Jevons' paradox and national security. Did you understand any of this ? I...I can't figure out how this will ultimately affect Intel or Nvidia, my two main stocks.
Could this delay OpenAI's IPO or affect their deal with Oracle? Will this continue to hold AMD back? After a day when the Dow fell 307 points, the S&P fell 0.19%, and the NASDAQ slipped 0.05%. After, by the way, a very strong discovery. All this excitement about competition from China in AI is making me look away from technology and toward quality companies like Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo, or look toward FedEx and FedEx Freight.
Maybe buy some Honeywell Aerospace and Boeing. Do you know why? You see, because if you have too many tech stocks, you'll just get wiped out. And you won't even understand what happened. Okay, not today. We got a lot , as you will see if you stay with us. But I don't want to be that journalist who only criticizes when things are bad.
Maybe we have some momentum here. But if you have non-tech stocks like the ones I like and they're falling, you know what you can do? You can confidently buy more of them because Goldman Sachs or FedEx understand, and they are not dependent on rumors or Chinese counterattacks . In many ways, this is precisely the problem with this market.
I mean, right now, for example, if SK Hynix, the Korean high-bandwidth memory maker , or SpaceX, Musk's satellite company, or Oracle with its troubled bonds and stocks really collapse, believe me, they'll drag everything down with them, including a lot of tech stocks that don't deserve such a blow. I've already told you how my trust diversified away from the technology sector, investing new funds in other sectors, except for Intel.
More on that in a moment. For the club. I've had enough of owning industrial companies, not necessarily related to data centers, and also healthcare, because we don't want to be the next SK Hynix —a huge semiconductor company stock that gets taken over by desperate traders who would be better off betting on the World Cup.
Bulls remember the DeepSeek story in early 2025, when the stock crashed due to the emergence of a Chinese AI program, then immediately bounced back. Now the bulls are claiming that this new AI threat, Kimi k3 from Chinese company Moonshot AI, is similar to the DeepSeek case, when everything else went down as well.
But if you bought into technology, especially data center-related, you'd make a fortune, just like when DeepSeek turned out to be a mediocre product. I'm not sure we should rush to buy this time, because the stocks that could be hurt are still incredibly expensive even after the drop, like Micron or SK Hynix.
So they are ridiculously cheap when you look at the profits, but the price is still high. We'll look at some of the hardest- hit stocks later in the program. You will be able to make your own decision. I think some of them will fall so much that a real opportunity will arise , and I won't turn a blind eye to it.
However, let me tell you what we do. First, we are not touching Apple's long-standing stake in our trust. The sharp knives were truly prepared for Apple's management, so to speak, by technological intellectuals. Intellectuals say that Apple missed the most important story of our lives— artificial intelligence.
They criticize Siri. They see the missed opportunity as critical to Apple's failure in the next generation . But do you know what these same people are posting from their iPhone 17 Pro Max? Do you know what they would rather do? They would rather cut their wrists than switch to Samsung. They remind me of the time I was sitting next to Steve Ballmer at my 35th college reunion, when he was still the CEO of Microsoft, and he pulled out some device that made me laugh.
It was Windows Mobile. Does anyone else remember this? I doubt it. So, in its core business, Apple is invulnerable, and they have never spent much on AI. I want you to think about this as you watch Apple stock fall seven dollars today. Did anyone switch to Samsung during this AI problem parody? Someone said, “Enough.
I'm tired of this. I'm tired of the 17 Pro Max. Give me Lenovo.” Maybe Cognizant wants Apple to spend $200 billion, maybe 70% on data center infrastructure and energy, and give the rest to Google for TPUs or buy expensive Nvidia GPUs. As an Apple stockholder for my fund, I like that they let Alphabet spend billions on AI and then have Alphabet pay them a nominal amount.
So , it was on the iPhone. Professionals have a deadline for this Apple and Alphabet deal. Do you know what it's called? Great deal. Oh, I also want Nvidia. I know people think I've been unfair to Nvidia lately. They say I criticized them for not buying back over $80 billion worth of stock, given that their stock is insanely cheap for the next year.
You know, this is more of a light reproach, because all this time there have been companies that have stated that they highly value Nvidia, but want to make their own chips. Do you know what I'll say to that? Come on, make Nvidia's day. But if the customer wants Nvidia, what will you do? What will you tell them?
No. No. You would n't say, "We don't have Nvidia." "You know, we have substitutes." They'll just go somewhere else. Nvidia at the heart of the data center. In fact, they invented it. They have no real Chinese competitor. The fact is that these machines—and they are machines— are equipped with the latest technology.
They are the envy of the whole world. Yes, AMD is getting close, but nothing compares to Nvidia, and that matters . Yes. And we are waiting for Intel, which reports this week. Intel is a triple whammy: CPUs needed for new AI agents, factories for manufacturing and packaging high-margin chips. Something CEO Pat Gelsinger knows better than anyone.
Why? Because he saved Cadence, the best packaging company. And then made you 50 times richer. Its factories are our best hope for a revival of the American semiconductor industry. Intel is a national treasure. I hope stocks fall on Thursday . Please, please, let them fall. Please let them fall. Do you know why?
So that we can increase our position. Understand again. I think highly of AMD, but I can't support both Intel and AMD. Too many coincidences. We think ARM is ideal , but it needs manufacturing capacity . We own Broadcom. Why? Because CEO Hawk hates to lose. He is a real competitor. By the way, the same goes for Matt Murphy from Marvell Tech.
But again, the concentration is too high for me, because these stocks are now mistakenly trading together with the Korean market at night, and then getting knocked down in the morning by the American press, which loves to praise Chinese competitors. God, the American press loves China so much. They are so smart.
They are so smart. We are so stupid. We are so stupid. Clowns to my left at Caltech, losers to my right at Stanford, and I'm stuck in the middle of MIT. After all, today was the day to buy FedEx . It was a day to buy some Honeywell aerospace stock. Hey, how about buying some GE? It fell by an incredible amount, even after receiving the largest order in history: 1,000 LEAP engines to equip the Airbus A320neo as part of a joint venture.
This was not enough. I was shocked that the stock didn't rise on this news. Instead, they fell by almost eight dollars. Crazy market, but buying more tech stocks is only worth it after a massive sell-off occurs . Where all the margin players and option speculators will simply be wiped out. Both here and in Korea, where NASDAQ was, of course, seeking to raise capital.
I should add that we have a lot of hyperscaler promotions for our travel shows, but we don't talk about them often, except once a month at a meeting. When we see that speculative sell-off, it will affect the entire tech sector, and the value will become obvious to anyone who still has cash, but for now it's time to move on to other sectors.
They can make money without such volatility. You know what this reminds me of? " Pharaoh's Wrath". The last time I got sick was at an amusement park, but I didn't hit my daughter. That is, I didn't dirty it. Bill from Indiana. Bill, Hi, Jim. I am a member of the club and thank you for the help and advice you have given me during this time.
Thank you, friend. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My question is about AutoZone. I have held these stocks for about 5 years while the auto parts industry was undergoing massive consolidation. So for me it was a very good deal, but now they have lost about 30% from their high a few months ago. So I'm thinking about selling them.
What? No, no, Bill. Look, they really had a problem, Bill. They had a problem. Well, you know, they have a lot of Chinese, well, you know, they had problems with customs. Hmm, I don't know. These stocks are only selling for 19 times earnings. They continue to buy back shares. I wish you wouldn't sell them now.
I think they can bounce back, but I understand you, because I thought this would be a big year for them, and so far I've been wrong. Thank you for being a member of the club. I look at the stocks and think, "Oh, wow. Don't sell them now." OK. At this point in the market, I believe we need to look outside the technology sector to find the best opportunities.
But that will change if we see a real meltdown on Mad Money tonight. I'm diving deeper into this chaos of everything related to artificial intelligence. Don't miss my review of where the worst places are and where you can find opportunities. Is it time to press "play" on Netflix? And why have stocks fallen so much, and is it worth buying them now?
I will find you. This reporting season has n't been particularly exciting, but there are things worth noting, and I'm pointing them out. at X. Any .
