Jamie Diamond, CEO of JP Morgan, just said that gold could easily reach five or even 10,000. And now the market is starting to wake up, just as gold breaks through $4200 and the cycle enters the phase I've been talking about for months. The break above $0,000 was a turning point for gold. And that's something I've been covering up here since the beginning of the movement.
As soon as the breakout occurred, the market initially reacted with doubt. We saw, especially the miners, the gold mining companies, retreat on the same day that gold renewed its all-time high above $4,000, showing that there was market pessimism regarding the movement of gold. The market still believes this movement is overstretched.
Part of the market believes there will be a correction. And a lot of people came to ask me about this, Leo, are we going to have a correction in the price of gold? Will there be a correction in the silver price? I also see a lot of comments on YouTube, you know, on the videos that go to YouTube. There was a guy who said, "Look, buying gold now is like buying stocks in a bull market, it's extremely expensive." And I've been reading and hearing comments like that since 2023, at the beginning of this gold price surge, right?
I always say here in the community, those who think like that don't understand why the price of gold is rising, why this movement is happening. This is not simply a short-term bubble, a short-term speculation, as the market is believing. This is a clear sign that the system is collapsing and that we may have a financial crisis soon.
This movement, in fact, should have already happened since the pandemic in 2020, when the current scenario of high state debt was created. Credit also increased bizarrely. So the world produces, but the world has ended up indebted far more than it has the capacity to produce. And naturally, we would see a rise in inflation and a lot of difficulty for central banks to continue raising interest rates, especially in first- world countries, to combat this inflation.
Ah, because that would come at a price, and it would significantly affect the economy, economies already weakened by this system that benefits from this indebtedness, right? And now, uh, the movement is starting to happen, because the euphoria with more speculative assets is beginning to cool down, the market is starting to price in that the stock market is too expensive, even artificial intelligence stocks are now starting to be priced in as a possible bubble.
I saw an article on the Zero Head website talking about this. A large part of the market, I think more than 60% of the American market, believes that AI on the American stock exchange today is a bubble. This is a clear sign that the market itself is already realizing that things have gone too far. And interestingly, we're currently experiencing a cycle of interest rate cuts, which allows more money to circulate in the economy.
In other words, in theory, this would benefit these assets, it would benefit this bubble, right? Well, there's more money circulating to buy these assets, but we see that even though these assets remain near their historical highs, they're still far from having the strength to continue rising. And with the recent rise in the price of gold, we can clearly see that this price increase, reflected in gold, isn't as significant as we think.
And we start to see American market indices also underperforming gold this year, underperforming gold over the last 10, 20 years. In the case of Brazil, the Brazilian stock market's gold market has already fallen by more than 40%, more than 50%, with gold reaching prices above $0,000, right? So, the rise in the Ibovespa, which reached a nominal historical peak not long ago , was nothing compared to the movement of the Brazilian stock market in gold.
And I brought the graph showing this here to the community. Ah, and now we see an institutional discourse shifting, with Jam Diamond, Ken Griefing, and other managers validating gold as a central safe-haven asset. And we're talking about James Diamond, the CEO of JP Morgan, who predicted that gold could reach $10,000.
James Diamond, who bought into Bitcoin, right? Who bought into the Bitcoin narrative some time ago, right? And now Jamie Diamond himself doesn't seem to have changed his mind, right? He's starting to put his weight on gold. I didn't want to draw attention to it, playing too much with FET, but I believe that in the current system, in the current cycle we are living through, gold can easily reach, according to them, 5 or 10,000.
And that's exactly what we're seeing, right, how easily the price of gold has risen this year. Now, going back to the movement that happened when gold broke through $0.75, the mining companies, right? This market view that gold will fall at some point, the mining companies, at that initial moment, started to fall.
So I commented here in the community, "Look at the picture we're seeing today." I sent the audio through the app, so that we could—you who are here on YouTube watching this clip later on—you need to be part of the community receiving this content every day through the Trade for Life app, where I'm always doing market analysis every day, talking about these movements, and also receiving this complete content here.
So I commented there that that movement was symbolic, that it showed that the market wasn't seeing what was obvious, right? And they began to realize a profit. So, many of the investors started to realize their profits. People who were leveraged by this movement also start jumping ship at the slightest sign of instability or volatility .
And there was also an institutional movement when gold confirmed its strength above $0.000. to buy gold, to have exposure to the metal, exposure also to silver, and to sell the mining companies as red, as a form of protection. And then I warned the community, we're going to have a short squeeze on GDX soon.
We're going to have a strong short squeeze because gold will continue to rise because the market doesn't understand what's happening, and so these mining companies will continue to raise prices, right? And it will force the closure, the liquidation of those short positions that were recently opened.
And whoever sold will have to buy back at a higher price; they'll be buying back in this process. And then we're going to see strong increases, and today I'm recording here, some of the mining companies managed to perform more than 8% in a single day, when gold confirmed it was above 4,200. The short squeeze on GDX that I anticipated here, whoever entered that day made a lot of money, they're already earning over 6%, way over 6%, because the market fell that day, you bought and it has already surpassed and is already well above that level, already more than 6% above that level.
That's the advantage of being here at Liga Lion, receiving this content in real time beforehand, having these analyses daily so you can feel confident making your investment, having an analysis that you're actually seeing and that you won't find elsewhere on the market, right? You won't see anyone else in the market here talking about this, right?
Speaking from my perspective on this market, having followed this cycle for a long time, right? And that's why I feel so confident speaking to you here. But this delay is classic, I even noted it down here, it also happened in previous gold cycles, right? It happened in 2009, in 2020, and in 2023. Gold broke through first, and GDX reacted later.
The GDX, which is the index that measures the main gold miners, reacts on average 7 to 10 days later, with upward movements ranging from 30 to 50% in sequence, right? So that's what we should watch now, right? The mines had that stop there. Well, a strong increase started today, as I said here, and this trend should continue.
It's the same pattern repeating itself. First the life insurance market, then gold leads the way, gold continues to rise, and the mining companies only wake up when the flow has already become a trend. And this delay is what separates those who follow price and volume from those who wait for confirmation of the headline.
The market is always late to the gold market. First you doubt, then you pursue it. And those who were already positioned are now just letting the profits run. In the Liga Lá, I've been showcasing this structure for months. The behavior of gold, the delay of miners, the flow that anticipates the movement.
