hey guys all in crypto here and welcome back everybody for another YouTube video this is going to be a very interesting video as we're going to look at some recent comments from the BlackRock CEO who essentially came out and said the Next Generation for markets is tokenization and it is going to involve blockchain you guys will know that have been following me for any length of time you know we've been in this game for five years now that it has always been our belief that blockchain is a technological Revolution that is going to impact and change all of our Lives we are going to in the future that we are moving towards be using blockchain as the underlying infrastructure that essentially is going to operate the financial system um and also you know not just the financial system social so on and so forth there's many many applications for blockchain it is just like there are many use cases for the internet or a PC or a mobile phone or a car or the motoring industry um you know blockchain is really no different and it's going to change all our lives and and this was a very interesting article and we actually covered an article also from Wells Fargo back in August um that essentially was titled digital assets a world of possibility and some of the key takeaways from this article Wells Fargo is one of the biggest banks in America um some of the key takeaways read many expect digital assets to build to be the building blocks of the new internet the internet value the internet of value will move forms of value around the globe such as money Financial assets and other personal valuables the internet of value is likely to disrupt the world of Finance just as the original internet was Communications was to Communications and information and it actually goes on to lichen the blockchain revolution as revolutionary as the likes of electricity which is a very bold claim to come from Wells Fargo but this is a constant thing we're already seeing Banks trial and drill almost uh cbdc's their use of terminology for blockchain is uh essentially you'll see it pop up more and more is d l t so distributed Ledger Technologies how they're kind of branding it but it's blockchain at the course so we're going to read this article look at some of the um insights from Larry fit think who essentially is the BlackRock CEO BlackRock I think has eight to nine trillion dollars under asset they're the largest hedge fund in the world the fact that they have their uh sites set on blockchain is very very telling we're also going to look at the total markup of the cryptocurrency market which reached three trillion dollars is now under a trillion it's a very very small market cap given the hundreds of trillions of dollars um that it is essentially disrupting in terms of other Industries and we'll look at that we'll reference this chain link article that is linking chain link to the disruption of this I think chain Link's going to be a fundamental and a core part of blockchain it really is it's the kind of way that blockchains get sort of off-chain data and unborn them in this kind of decentralized immutable fashion so let's get straight into the article guys BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said the next generation of markets uh the generation for Securities will be tokenization of Securities in the world of blockchain tokenization refers to a process where a digital representation of an asset is created on a blockchain authenticating its transactions and ownership history this is blockchain is actually so useful um that it doesn't just stop at the financial industry but it certainly is very fitting you know that the financial infrastructure that we have certainly if you look at currencies is very old and outdated we still allows you use a swift system and which hasn't had much Innovation and blockchain really challenges that and innovates it um we've seen a lot of pushback from Banks because of course they already are have a monopoly on things um but I think they're going to adopt it and use that to potentially further their uh Monopoly so this approach enables a different way to trade assets like stocks bonds real estate and even alternative assets like land wine or art following the transaction to following the transfers to be visible on a public ledger so essentially you know this is the internet of value is really what we're looking at this was the prior internet which is the one that we're using right now in communicating over the Internet of information we're now moving towards the internet of value speaking at a New York Times deal book event think argued the tokenization will provide um instantaneous settlements and reduced fees despite these advantages he added that the development of this type of Technology wouldn't disrupt blackrock's business model more uh they'll probably just use it and adopt it so along the promise of blockchain the CEO also touched on several current economic issues including the impact on the Russia Ukraine conflict the changing role of China and the global um inflationary pressures that has impacted most developed economies this year but it diff uh definitively um not just it's but it's definitely sorry not just BlackRock that is betting on tokenization as the future financial services so this ties in with our overall thesis flow carbon a startup tokenizing carbon credits led by former wework founder um Adam Newman uh recently attracted 70 million dollars of investment from promoting investors such as a16z Central Catalyst and Samsung Ventures Investments in November JP Morgan turned to polygon to trade tokenized cash deposits in Singapore base trial uh via oxy digital assets a private blockchain created by Banks the bank has also promoted the benefits of tokenization in some of its white papers saying tokenization could potentially enable Financial Services to be delivered in more of an open manner despite his bullish views on the future of tokenization the CEO said he believes that most cryptocurrency related companies are not going to be around in the future he thought he did say uh that blockchain technology will be very important so I actually agree with this I think generally actually quite a lot of the cryptos that we have today may disappear um I'm all very very sort of uh skeptic on the role of Bitcoin potentially I think it's going to play more of a gold like um investment sort of it will exist but I don't think Bitcoin is the top crypto I actually see far more usage um from the smart contract blockchains these kind of building blocks if you will if you will of tomorrow um this is really what I envisioned so this is the future guys you you guys are so so lucky you know even though we're sort of mid to long term a little bit bearish on the crypto space in regards to the recession that we're currently in and how we think liquidity is um the most important thing to understand as an investor and that liquidity continues to get restricted and actually uh tighten and contract and have to go and service a uh massive debt Market um that has now got a higher yield on it but that will come to an end and the eventuality is in my opinion that you know yes there may be a little bit more downside um but ultimately you know the the cryptocurrency market is um only going one way in my opinion and that's up to the tens of trillions of dollars you know I do see that as a very probable um outcome for the future let's take a look at this article from chain links which we covered in our recent chaining video so Oracle networks web 3 services are key security infrastructure so here you've got transaction value to be distributed by uh disrupted Sorry by web3 which of course is blockchain um and you can see that that has a total value of 86 or sorry 867 trillion dollars this is from the world economic forum and the BCG Insight report size of traditional markets that are susceptible to disruption by distributed Ledger technology then you have web 3 app Revenue 9 to 17 trillion dollars which is a massive amount bearing in mind our industry right now is not even a trillion dollars web 3 applications are likely to capture one to two percent of the the value exchange that they for facilitate aligned with the rate at which the global banking industry generates revenue on funds it intermediates and then we have web3 infrastructure revenue from the 260 to 520 billion dollars web3 and this is from Visa stripe MasterCard and PayPal web3 infrastructure will capture three percent of the revenue generated by applications that they enable aligned with web 2 comparables and then we have they go into decentralized oracles which of course chain link is I think chain Link's going to do very very well but this is a market that is very much just on a journey uh to adoption you know we are at the very early stages of of a true technological Revolution and we are going to see trillions of dollars flow into this this market and if you can pick the right cryptocurrency you are setting yourself up for generational um wealth essentially so this I'll just read this last little bit and then we'll wrap things up We Believe digital assets this is from Wells Fargo's um article digital assets a world of possibility where they really uh drive home the um you know absolute Revolution that's going on here we believe digital assets are a transformative Innovation on par with the internet cars and electricity huge oddly they may be one of the easier transformation uh transformative Innovations to grasp at an early stage the reason is that we have a con a present comparable to the internet and it really goes on to talk about this whole um concept and what the internet value is it goes to mention of the cryptocurrencies and this is the thing the current system that we have is not as Global as I think the agenda would like it to be and I think we are moving to a very very Global um agenda where everything will be very cross-border and and I don't want to say transparent but transparent for governments and easy for them to sort of work out what's going
