01. What's going on everybody? Michael Burry revealing his next big moves on Nvidia, Micron, AMD, and this all coming as some of the air has been let out of the balloon with the memory trade. But let's be real here. I mean, the memory trade has been outrageously successful and and has been it just an absolute monstrous uptrend.

02. So, I've got some mixed feelings. I want to take you through what Michael Burry said. I'm going to give you some thoughts on Nvidia, Micron, AMD, the memory trade. We'll take a look at some of these stocks as well, SanDisk, uh Samsung just came in with some unbelievable earnings, yet memory selling off a little bit.

03. Uh we're going to break it all down for you guys in this video. Let's jump in right now. Hit that like button for us though, and give us a subscribe down below. It does help us out tremendously. We do appreciate it. So, let's get in here. Michael Burry is famous for uh making a massive bet against the US housing market in 2005.

04. It's a few years before it collapsed, triggered the global financial crisis in 2008. Uh we're actually seeing real estate pull back pretty significantly. You know, it's not a 2008 style, but I mean, big pull backs. He has since closed his hedge fund. Uh now invests his money whenever he identifies worthy opportunities.

05. Uh Burry was very active in the stock market last week opening a series of short positions against companies that operate in the AI infrastructure space over the past weeks uh and months. He used his social media and his Substack pages to voice skepticism about the sustainability of the AI spending boom, and he's now putting his money where his mouth is by going short.

06. He will profit if the underlying stock or securities he's betting against decline in value. Burry was short the semiconductor ETF. Um you know, there was a bunch of big names in there. Uh and, you know, basically all the big companies powering this AI boom, a lot of them are in there. Um and we're seeing this position suggest he believes the entire semiconductor industry is overvalued.

07. So, you know, assets again, you know, similar to Micron, Nvidia, SanDisk. Uh SanDisk down today seven plus percent down to 1,600. Remember the all-time high on SanDisk was up over 2,300. Uh you know, look at Iron pulling back almost 10% today. Uh that's a big pullback there on Iron. Uh Micron down another 5% today.

08. These assets now down 20% in the last week. Uh the iShares Semiconductor ETF, here's what you got, you know, some of the big names in there. Micron, AMD, Nvidia, Broadcom, Intel. Uh so, of these names, I think Intel is probably the one that is sneakily still undervalued in my opinion. I think Intel's going to have a nice catch-up trade against Taiwan Semiconductor in my opinion.

09. Uh [snorts] now, Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Micron, I think they're great stocks to own for the long term. I mean, there's pullbacks in every market. Uh but Burry is effectively betting against some of the world's best semiconductor companies that are currently generating blistering growth. Micron, which supplies the HBM which we've talked about numerous times, high bandwidth memory for data centers, grew by a staggering 345% year-over-year uh over the recent recent quarter.

10. AMD and Nvidia, big in chips, right? And uh processing units, GPUs for data centers, main chips used in AI training and inference workloads. Uh Nvidia's grown its revenue sevenfold, uh which is just insane. Largest company in the world. Market cap just shy of 5 trillion. Broadcom supplies some of the semiconductor industry's best data center networking equipment.

11. Um, there's a bunch of different network testing plays that I like, you know, VEEV VIAV down. I think it's a nice pullback. Uh, good opportunity there. You know, if you want a smaller cap name there close to what Broadcom gives you. I still like a lot of these names. I'm just trying to find some of the diamonds in the rough.

12. Uh, but the iShares ETF has a remarkable track record. Burry might be right in the short term. You know, there might be a pullback. We're seeing other sectors perform pretty well right now. Um, health care is doing well. Uh, I'm looking at biotech and robotics as more longer term parts of this AI trade.

13. Uh, I'm looking at a lot of tickers there. I talk about them here on the channel. So, again, why you should subscribe cuz I think that's next up, the physical AI trade. But, I still think all of this semiconductor, you know, linked assets, I think they're still going to be great. I think they're going to perform extre- extremely well.

14. But, right now, currently in these market environments, we're seeing health care move. We're seeing cyber security make some moves as well. I think biotech is getting ready uh, to have some really nice gains. We're starting to see uh, you know, ARK G, Cathie Wood's uh, ARK G, which is genomics ETF perform pretty well.

15. It has been uh, year to date. So, it seems audacious for Burry to be able to bet against such incredible momentum. But, he makes some good arguments. He thinks the iShares ETF is expensive, uh, which is fair considering that, you know, its PE ratio of 74 is more than twice the PE of the Nasdaq 100 tech index.

16. Uh, in other words, semiconductor stocks have run far ahead of their big tech peers. And we've known this. I mean, the semiconductor plays have been outperforming. This does not mean the AI trade is over. I do not want to convolute this, right? Burry questions the sustainability of the AI infrastructure spending boom because the companies allocating the most money to chips and components aren't performing as well as semiconductor companies they're funding.

17. But again, I think Burry's looking at this as a short-term swing trade. I'm looking at this and saying AI is in the early innings. I think these are still great names. I just want to get early to some of the other industries and places that AI is going to be touching. Biotech, humanoid robots, right?

18. Physical AI. This is where I'm really going to be focusing a lot of my attention for the next 3 to 5 years of growth. Now, um there was a recent survey survey by UBS UBS Group suggesting that around 60% of businesses are curbing their AI spending. Uh obviously not good uh for the short-term for OpenAI and Anthropic, but these guys are again, they're just getting started.

19. Okay? They are just getting started. So, you know, I think it's a good time right now to just kind of be patient in the markets. Really don't make big, you know, moves one way or the other. I mean, if you're up big on these names, sure. I mean, carving out some profits here is never a bad idea. Uh and if you're just kind of somewhere in the middle and you're still kind of thinking of this as a long-term play, uh I would start looking at some of the ways that AI is going to be impacting industries over the next 3 to 5 years.

20. And I think you're still fine in Micron, AMD, Nvidia long-term. It just really depends on what you are, right? Are you an active trader? Are you an investor? Are you trying to do a little bit of both, right? Then you kind of blend the strategies in there. So, and that's kind of where I am. I'm kind of a a blended approach.

21. I've got some long-term buckets. I'm also looking at some short-term plays along with some mid-term plays and some high-upside growth plays that are relatively long-term. So, that's what I wanted to kind of break down to you guys. I do not think this is a time to panic and run for the hills and think it's all over, okay?

22. Especially with some of these massive names like Nvidia and AMD. We we we've seen corrections like this just in the last year. And the market has rebounded really nicely. Uh we'll continue to track everything for you. If things change, if we start to move some of these uh lose some of these low, you know, bigger moving averages, then you start saying, "Okay, maybe we got to shift our approach here." But that's what we've got for you.
