SpaceX is an Elon Musk vehicle, and that means it's all about the story, about a vision for the future. If you believe in that vision, $2 trillion, it doesn't seem that unreasonable. From the very start, SpaceX lists its mission as building, quote, "the systems and technologies necessary to make life multi-planetary," end quote.
So, you can see this document is one of great optimism. They even included a chart that talked about a 28.5 trillion total addressable market. Although, as critics pointed out, that's nearly the size of the entire US GDP last year. Now, I don't want to get into the details too thick, though, because that's almost beside the point with this one.
Long story short, SpaceX believes it can make a fortune as long as it keeps investing mainly in artificial intelligence. The prospectus lists a ton of different long-term growth growth opportunities in space, in Starlink, in AI, where they're talking about deploying data centers in space where solar energy can create a real edge over terrestrial data centers with huge power demands.
But, I'm more interested in their near-term plans. There are three in particular that make SpaceX relatively enticing right now. First, let's talk about the Starship program, which is SpaceX's effort to create a much larger reusable rocket than their current product line. The idea is that this thing will be able to deliver 100 metric tons to Earth's orbit and then come right back down.
That's nearly double their heaviest existing rocket, and management believes they can get to 200 metric tons in the not-too-distant future. Hey, they just did the 12th test for Starship last Friday, one that hit most of its targets. The plan is that these will go into operation sometime in the second half of the year.
If SpaceX can really make that deadline, that'll be a major boon for their slowing space division. The second near-term growth opportunity mentioned in the prospectus is SpaceX's recently announced deal to lease some of its Nvidia-powered data center capacity in Memphis to Anthropic. Apparently, Anthropic has agreed to pay SpaceX $1.25 billion per month through May of 2029 for the right to use its compute with capacity ramping in May and June for reduced fee.
In other words, SpaceX is AI segment which had 3.2 billion dollars in revenue last year could see an incremental 15 billion dollars in revenue per year. Starting almost immediately. SpaceX also said that they quote expect to enter two additional similar services contracts and quote. All of this amounts to a a new hyperscaler like business for SpaceX similar to Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.
This Anthropic deal alone dramatically changes the economics of the AI division. It's actually transforming We're actually going to lead today with Apple. It hit a new record high. It has been ripping of late in case you've been paying attention. Let's show you the stock over the last month because it's coming off its ninth positive week.
That's the longest stretch since 2017. It is the top performing mega cap in the month of May. We're less than two weeks away from WWDC. We'll be broadcasting live from that event. Melius today, Apple may be on the brink of some real AI sizzle. It says target to 385. Target to 380 at B of A. Joe, you get the first shot at this stock which has just blown past the others over the last month and says don't forget about me.
So like everyone else, we get things wrong from time to time in this business, but when you have conviction about something, you have to make sure that you get behind it with your capital and your positioning. And that's the fact with Apple. I said coming into 2026, I felt Apple was the mag seven name that would have the outperformance, that would play catch up relative to the rest of the mag seven AI halo story.
And on March 24th, I took my position at 252 and a half, and I've now executed four subsequent buys and will continue to buy this name as it moves higher. I understand the valuation is rich, it's in the mid 30s, but I believe we are at the beginning of what will be the moment when Apple finally embraces, whether it's generative AI, genetic AI, but delivers consumers something tangible in their hands that we have all been waiting for.
The iPhone 18 will come out in September. I think you'll see improvements as it relates to Siri, and I think this is a moment for a very aggressive, momentum-oriented catch-up trade for Apple, and I will stay with that position. not disappoint in a couple weeks when we're sitting out there with the big event going on behind us because the stock's running right into
over the last several Over the last several years, there's been grand disappointment surrounding this company. So, I think an incremental move in the direction of delivering something to the consumer is all ultimately they really need to do. And if there is a perceived misstep and the stock pulls back, I'll buy more.
What about you? You own it? I do own it, and you know, I like the way he just phrased this. You said momentum-oriented investors. You know me, Josh, Joe, and Scott, and Stephanie, you all know me. I'm a fundamental value-oriented investor. So, I doubled up on this stock about a year ago, right after liberation day at 190.
Now, I'm enjoying the fruits of investing low, watching it go higher, and I'll sell higher. But like you, Joe, I'm just watching the momentum here. I think it's overvalued. Let me be clear about it. I think Apple's overvalued. For all the hype about it's going to have some AI sizzle, we've heard that many times before in the last 3 years.
I am riding this thing until the momentum wears out, and then I will trim it. I will likely maintain a core position. Why do you think it's overvalued? At mid-30s and the growth rate and earnings ahead of it, I just I just don't see the growth rate in earnings per share justifying the mid uh the mid-30s multiple, Scott.
You just And that's that's beauty's in the eye of the beholder. Some people can disagree with me. Over the last 3 years, Apple, when you look at revenue growth, came in at a very disappointing 1.6% In the last year, Apple is back to double-digit revenue growth, what we knew this company to be previously.
And maybe now we're seeing participation once again as it relates to to China. I think there's evidence to suggest that. But overall, if you're telling me the story is going to be about a company that's going to grow its revenue back & learn AI race is no longer just about buying the fastest chips. It's evolving into the much bigger battle involving the data centers, cloud providers, software enterprises, infrastructure, and even personal computers.
And at the center of that transformation remain the one company, and that is Nvidia. While many investors have spent the last few months debating whether AI spending is slowing down, the latest developments suggest the opposite. The AI buildout is spreading into the new markets, creating additional demand far beyond the GPUs alone.
One of the biggest theme emerging right now is that every dollar invested in AI hardware create a multiple dollars of spending across the rest of the technology ecosystem. The impact extend into the cloud computing, networking, software, infrastructure, energy, and the enterprises applications. That's why many analysts believe we are still in the early stages of the AI revolution, rather than the nearing the end of it.
On the semiconductor side, Nvidia continue to dominate the conversation. Demand for advanced AI chips remain extremely strong worldwide. With supply still struggling to keep the pace, this demand isn't the only benefiting the Nvidia. It's also creating opportunities for companies involved in memories, cloud infrastructure, and AI deployment.
However, the story is becoming larger than the chips alone. The hyperscalers remain a major focus. Companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and the Google continue investing aggressively in AI infrastructure. Their cloud platforms are becoming the backbone of AI deployment across the enterprises and developers worldwide.
At the same time, software companies are beginning to benefit from the next phase of AI adoption. Earlier fear that AI would destroy the software business appear increasingly overstated. Instead, AI is becoming another layer that enhance the software products and expand the number of tools available to users and the enterprises.
A major highlight recently has been Nvidia pushed into the PC market. For years, Nvidia's biggest growth story centered on data centers. Now, the company is taking another step by bringing AI capabilities directly onto the personal computers through the partnership with major PC manufacturer and the software providers.
Nvidia is helping launch a new generation of AI focused devices designed to run advanced model The significance of this move cannot be understand. Just as smart transformed into the personal computing over the last two two decades, the Nvidia believes AI powered PCs could represent the next major platform shift.
Instead of relying entirely on cloud providers, future devices will be the able to perform many tasks directly on the machines improving speed, efficiency, and responsiveness. This expansion also create a new competitive pressure across the G CPUs market. Historically, Nvidia's dominated graphic processing while the companies like Intel and AMD focused heavily on CPUs.
But Nvidia is increasingly moving into the territories that were once controlled by those competitors. Industry analysts now view Nvidia as the company that simply isn't defending its existing market, it's actively expanding into the new ones.
